Day 2 In Malacca

After a great breakfast in Hatten Hotel, we set off to walk around in the shopping malls near our hotel. We chanced upon this Kids World where they rent out cars for kiddos. We thought it will be good to let the little ones take the rides while the adults go for a short shopping spree…

We went to Jonker Street for lunch but when we arrived, we were saddened by the crowd we saw. The whole street was filled with tourists and many were queuing up at all the chicken rice shop. We ventured down the street and found this chicken rice shop that has lesser crowd but serving the same dishes… CHICKEN RICE BALLS.

Malacca is also famous for their chicken rice ball and we ordered that for our lunch. The chicken rice balls were actually a disappointment as it tasted like lotong!! Other than the rice balls, the rest of the dishes were not too bad… especially the steamed tofu… loving it!

After an unsatisfying lunch, we walked back to the start of Jonker Street where we sat down to have their popular durain cendol… hubby queued about 10 minutes to get us 3 bowls of durian cendols… honestly, after the disappointed chicken rice, we did not put much hope on the desserts…

When the cendol arrived at our table, it certainly looked tempting and tasty. YES, this is one of the best durian cendol ever!!! Everything was in placed… taste was mild, cendol taste intact, and it was so refreshing!! We thought we couldn’t finish them but within minutes, it was all wiped out! YUMS!!! This is definitely a MUST TRY!
