Emma’s FIFTH Birthday Celebration

I never like numbers and definitely did not have good impression of Numbers when our kids are growing too fast! Their numbers jump from a single digit to soon double digits. Sighz…. I am not able to accept that my youngest little pumpkin will be turning FIVE next week!!! Geezzz…. Why the earth has to move so fast!!!

As we will be out of town next week during baby girl’s birthday, we decided to have her celebration today at Swensen’s. She has been looking forward to this birthday party since the day we announced the good news to her. We were happy to include some of her school mates this time and it brightened up her mood further.

Swensen’s at NEX has this private area where they used for private functions and it just fit us perfectly for our group. I arranged a magician as the entertainment for all and it was pretty good actually though some of the magic tricks were kind of cheesy… hahahahaah…

The kids had so much fun getting involved in the magic show being playing as an assistant to the magician or doing a trick with him. Even parents were involved… hahaahahah…

We were really happy that the party went on very well and everyone in the house enjoyed the show and the food. It was also a great gathering for friends, family and also for little pumpkin to bond with her friends. It is always great to see your guest enjoying themselves at the party. 😊

After the magic show, the host helped us to prepare for cake cutting ceremony and it did not take long for all the kids to gather around the table. We could see little pumpkin’s joy from within and she was really happy to have all her friends to be there to celebrate her birthday with her.

The kids continued to play among themselves for a short while after the cake cutting and it was time to bid goodbye to all our guest and head for home. 😊 It was an amazingly fun party!
Thank you everyone who came for the party. We than you for your presence that made the difference and your lovely gifts. 😊

Breakfast With My LOVES

After birthday celebration at little pumpkin’s school, we set off for our breakfast at Starbucks. Lady Faith is kind a fan like me but she is into her Hot Chocolate while little pumpkin does not have much knowledge about drinks at Starbucks.

I ordered the coffee for myself, hot chocolate for the kiddos and double chicken fold over to share. Lady faith decided to have one on her own while I shared mine with little pumkin. I really enjoyed my time spent with them alone as these are precious moments that will never happen again once you missed it as they are growing up too fast.
This year, we are celebrating little pumpkin’s 5th birthday and at the blink of an eye, she will be celebrating her 15th birthday with her friends and bet she won’t wanna join me for coffee at Starbucks anymore.

I treasure every moment that I can spent with them and captured all these beautiful memories not only with my phone but it will be stored in a very place in my heart.

Advanced Birthday Celebration

As we will be travelling this weekend, we decided to celebrate little pumpkin’s birthday at school today.

We set off to school early this morning and when we arrived, the kiddos were at their music room getting ready for the celebration. They were so happy to see Emma the moment she stepped into the room and many started asking her what’s the theme of the cake and how come she is here so late, and not in school uniform. It was pretty hilarious to see that scene actually as she couldn’t answer all the questions at one go.
We settled the kiddos and then started the celebration almost immediately as the kiddos had to go for their concert rehersal right after we are done. While Zhong Lao Shi was preparing, I spoke to the kiddos and they were very sponteoneous to have pictures taken. Man.. these kids were filled with so much energy in the morning.
After the cake cutting ceremony, all the kids came around to have a group picture taken and then we disturbed the cake to the class. They were very happy and told me that the cake was delicious. I wished I could bake little pumpkin her birthday cake but I was too tired the last few days running errands and attending events. Let me try to bake her the birthday cake next year. 😊

Little pumpkin had a blast at school for her short celebration and I am so happy to see smiles on her face. Love that smile!

Shevaun’s 10th BD Celebration

How time flies… this little sweetie will be entering into the double digits in a few weeks’ time. We were happy to be part of her 10th birthday celebration at Trapizza located at Sentosa.
This is one very beach like restaurant you can find in Singapore and not only they have a fantastic sea view but tasty food served too. I would say that the prices on their menu are pretty much tourist price and if you don’t want to burn your pockets, then do the sharing.
Just before sunset, we started the celebration with the cake cutting ceremony and then followed by dinner. We wanna captured the beautiful nature colors of the sunset and of course our faces… hahaahah…
I am really impressed by Maggie who baked Shevaun’s birthday cake. It was so pretty and filled with love. I am really terrible at baking a whole cake though I have done that before but really dislike the icing of the cake. Sighz… maybe I should start learning how to ice a whole cake…

We ordered many dishes to share and everyone had a blast sitting around chatting and had loads of catching up. After dinner, the kids went to the beach for a walk with Maggie; wanted to start building the sand castle but the sand was too wet to play due to the heavy downpour earlier. They decided to go to the playground nearby instead and took on the obstacles area.
Little pumpkin was really keen to follow her sister and cousins but was too afraid to cross the rope bridge to the slide. She was initially doing fine but when she was almost reaching to the other end, she looked down and became very frightened. She started crying and refused to move. Thankfully, there were 2 park marshals around and one gently led her to the end and offered to take the slide with her. She agreed and there she came down the metal slide with the young marshal.

The moment she stepped foot on ground, she grabbed me so tight and told me that she was so frighten up there. We calmed her down and brought her back to the dinner table so that she can forget about the incident.

The birthday was really a cool, simple but super enjoyable one. With good food, family members and great bonding sessions for the cousins with a beautiful sea view to add to the list.

Thank you Amos and Maggie for having us!

Playdate At Kiztopia

I have heard about this place on FB and also little pumpkin’s classmate’s mum as they organized a outing for the kiddos back in October when it was a training day for teachers hence, no school for the kids.

I heard good feedbacks from the mums and decided to suggest to bring the kiddos to Kiztopia for the playdate today. When we arrived, it was not crowded which was a good thing as it was weekday morning. I am glad that the kids will have more space to play around and the place isn’t too big but just a good size for an indoor playground.
The kids started checking out many stations and went on playing on their own while the mums had time to chat and hang out. Little pumpkin wanted to play on her own rather to join her sister, cousin and Mizuki as she was so engrossed to play owner of the minimart… hahaahahahah… she enjoyed clearing up the fruits, vegetables and baskets in the minimart and began to sit at the counter to play cashier.

I told her that I will leave her there to play on her own while I checked on her sis. When I returned after a few minutes, I found her chatting with a little girl and both of them were helping each other to clear up the mess in the minimart. Hahahaahah…
It seemed that little pumpkin prefers the minimart and the cookery section rather than the obstacles play area or the sandpit. Lady Faith, Mizuki and Shevaun had a blast at the VR area and the Lego house where they can build their own house or room. They had so much fun that the Lego house became one of their favourite hangout.
Time flies when the kids played together and we had to stop them to bring them for luncheon after the 3 hours of play. We set off to have our lunch at Kith located at Millenia Walk as this branch has the full menu compared to the one at Marina Square.

The kids had such a blast playing together today and we will definitely meet for another playdate when everyone returns from their vacation.

Wedding Anniversary Dinner

It’s been more than a decade since we got married and today, we celebrated our wedding anniversary dinner at one of our favourite restaurant.

Hubby for the first time, made the reservation at Pietrasanta Ristorante. They used to be housed at Portsdown Road but recently moved to Fusionopolis. After settling the kids at home, I headed out happily for dinner date with hubby.

When I arrived at Fusionopolis, I was kind of lost coz’ it was my first time visiting this place and after a few minutes of walking, I finally found the restaurant. It was actually situated right at the side entrance of Fusionopolis but somehow, I could not notice it but had to walk around the building to locate it.

The new restaurant is beautiful and stylish. I LOVE IT! I noticed that all the staff are the same and they are still very warm and friendly. We browsed through the menu and ordered some of our favourite dishes like the Burrata with parma ham and their toasted focaccia bread to start with. The burrata is one of the most heavenly one that I had ever tasted. It was so soft, creamy and mmmmh…. YUMZ!!!!
Next, we had our Fettuccine with Pork Sausage and Black Truffle and Risotto with mushroom and Truffle oil… man… this is soooooooooooooooooo damn good that I could just eat the whole portion on my own but I need to share them with my man.

Honestly, after finishing the burrata, pasta and risotto, my stomach is already full but hubby ordered the roasted deboned organic spring chicken which was too hard to resist… it was really good and though I was too stuffed, I managed to finish a small portion and feeling really satisfied by how good the food was.

It was such wonderful wedding anniversary dinner and too full to forget …. hahaahahhah

Chocolate Chips Muffins

I am really blessed to have people around to help me sell my cakes. A client sent me a message to place an order with me and I was thrilled that it came from someone who is not in my circle of friends.
Thank you for trusting in me and giving me a chance to serve you.

Ondeh Ondeh Cupcakes

I was really happy to receive a message from Leng for Ondeh Ondeh cupcakes orders. The orders were from another ex-colleague from our subsidiary. She tasted my cakes during Rie’s Total Beauty Workshop and decided to order a box to share with her colleagues and at the same time trying to help sell my bakes.
I was not very happy with the pipping today as I was suffering some aches from my arms as I went for body toning session the day before. Anyway, it was not horrible but not my normal standard. I told her about the decoration when I met her but she was really sweet to tell me that it was beautiful in her eyes. Awwwww….

Thank you Sherlin for having faith in me and trust in my skill to bake. Cheers and looking forward for more orders from you in the near future.

Happy Birthday Mummy Flo

She is known be ‘Mummy’ in our previous company and very well-loved by many. I am really honored to be called one of her daughters and my kids will greet her as grandma when they meet. She has such a wonderful personality and I am so blessed to have her in my life.

I gathered everyone whom I regards as my extended family to celebrate mummy flo’s birthday and Leng kindly arranged the rest. We arrived early at Tung Lok as usual and started chatting away while waiting for the birthday girl. We made this dinner gathering as one of those usual gatherings but I prepared a cake for her secretly.

As usual, the dishes that Leng ordered were all DELICIOUS and we enjoyed both food and company. We always have something that came up during dinner and made us laughed till we teared… this time is no EXCEPTIONAL! It was all about the bananas… hahaahahahahahha…. I dun want to elaborate but yea.. something that we girls talked about… hahaahahahahaha
The rest kindly prepared a beautiful plating for our cake and we gathered to sing her a birthday song and it echoed back to us as the restaurant was pretty empty. Hahahahahaahah… We were in the world of our own and we simply enjoyed our cake as our desserts. It was really yums… I brought he cake from Pine Garden as I did not have the time to bake… next time perhaps.

Mummy Flo, Happy blessed birthday to you and May God continue to bless you with good health always.

Happy Blessed Birthday Gujie

Yearly, we tried to gather together as a family to celebrate our Gujie’s birthday for her as she is our only aunt left from our dad’s family. We would like to spend as much time with her as possible and at the same time, create beautiful memories for our kids too.
We arranged dinner at Spring Court and BG was our food mistress and ordered all the delicious dishes which mostly Gujie’s favourite. The kids were happy to meet on a Sunday evening too as they hardly meet due to tuitions and other enrichment commitments. I am always happy to see the girls play together and I do hope that they will remember those moments in their hearts forever.
Before the dishes were served, they presented us a beautiful decorated ‘birthday buns’ complimentary from the restaurant and everyone was busy taking pictures of the beautiful plate. Though they were just simple lotus filled buns but it tasted extra yummy with such a pretty plating.

The dishes were served slowly and we all enjoyed the food very much. We noticed that Gujie enjoyed the roast chicken the most and she did not hesitate to finish up the last few pieces on the plate when all were already stuffed.

After we were done with mains, it’s the moment for Gujie. She was happy to see the birthday cake and we gathered everyone for the family picture and of course, the kids to sing her the birthday song. She was all smiles and was very spontaneous on photo taking. Thumps up!

It was yet another great family dinner and we would like to wish Gujie a very HAPPY BLESSED BIRTHAY! May our good Lord continue to shine upon you and bless you with His eternal blessings and love.
