Pregnancy Shoot

Maggie, my sis-in-law went for her pregnancy shoot when she was about 7 months pregnant and told me that it was fun but somehow the pictures taken were not up to her expectation. Anyway, she somehow gave me the idea of taking pregnancy pictures and to me; it would be more like a keepsake purpose.

My professional photographer Belle was excited when I told her about it and she would love to take those pictures for me. I was really happy and comfortable to have them take my pictures coz’ I have never doubt their skills and ideas.

Finally, last weekend, we had the photo shoot. It was very different from all those shoots that I had done and this time, this one was more meaningful. I was really excited and as usual, we had so much fun during the shoot as the main focus was my expanded belly!

Man, those pictures were really gorgeous and I am really glad that I had taken them…. Woohoooo!!!!

Thank you Belle & Dave for the wonderful pictures and it was great having you guys…

Face Of Baby?

I have heard so much about 3D scan from friends and they managed to see their baby in the womb. I made the appointment hoping to have a glimpse of her face.

When I arrived at KK Hospital this morning, feeling excited and nervous, I registered myself at ADC where I waited patiently for my name to be called. Shortly, I was called and led to the room to begin the scan. I was really happy to see the movement but disappointed when the doctor told me that baby’s face was facing the wall of my womb! Though it was a perfect position for the 3D scan but somehow too near to the wall to get a clearer picture. The doctor then advised me to take a walk and return for the scan later.

I did as told and went for breakfast and though I was disappointed but I guess the baby did not want us to look at her. Anyway, I went back to the clinic after breakfast and waited patiently for my name to be called once again. I was really hoping that this time will work. This time, her position was slightly shifted and now she was facing the side but her hands were in the way! I was really amazed when the doctor focus on her face when saw her yawning away! My heart melted right away and she made me want to see her face more. However, it FAILED again! Sigh!!

After another half hour of walk around the hospital, I returned and this time, I sort of gave up hope of seeing her face up close! To my surprise, her position was perfect once again but the doctor told me that there wasn’t enough water on her face to get a perfect picture. The most amazing and shocking movement I saw was… she was sticking her tiny tongue out a couple of times… it was pretty funny actually.

Finally, I gave up and the doctor was really nice to print me some good face profile of hers for me without charging me. Therefore, no 3D picture for all of you but you can see her face…

Ku Fu Hustle Lady Boss In The House!

We lunched in today as my darling Angela bought us lunch today as an appreciation for her birthday celebration.

Shortly after lunch, Linda requested Yoshiko to curl her hair (she has done that before and we thought she looked good). Anyway, when her hair was filled with the curlers, I immediately thought of this lady boss in the Chinese movie Ku Fu Hustle!

It was totally hilarious!!! She was almost all set for the role of lady boss except for her missing cigarette and her sleeping gown!!! Ahahahaahahahaahahah

Shabu Shabu Gen

Our boss Minowa-san once again invited Linda & me to lunch (once a month affair) and this time, he brought us to what he called ‘newly discovered’ restaurant located at Shaw House.

At first, I thought the restaurant is inside Isetan but somehow it was just along the road where its neighbors’ were Les Amis and an Italian restaurant… it was really not noticeable if you are not prepared to find. The small and cozy restaurant is popular for their beef!

Indeed, I am in need of beef … hahhaahah… Beef will provide more iron for baby actually. He mentioned to us that they served a few different grades of beef and I was all ready to try! As soon as we were seated, we went to check out their beef; OMG!!! There were indeed a few grades for the types of beef they served… honestly, I have no idea what are their difference but somehow they looked very alluring to me.

It didn’t take us very long to decide our meal… boss ordered their popular beef curry with rice; he requested for extra spicy. Both Linda & I ordered shabu shabu beef don. Our Japanese tea and appetizer were served shortly and I liked their light appetizer as it was somehow refreshing… our salad was served and though the presentation was no award-winning style but the taste was awesome. With the unforgettable taste of salad dressing still clinging on my tongue, the hot chawamushi (steam egg) was served. Chawamushi is one of my favorite dish (yes… it’s EGG!) and this one was really smooth and delicious. **Drooling**

Finally, our main dishes were served. I was totally impressed by the shabu shabu beef don though it looked really simple. Boss shared some of his curry rice with us and being a Japanese curry lover, that was really GOOD! There wasn’t too much flour and it simply tasted like normal curry! Thumps UP!

When I took the first spoon of my beef don, I melted with the tender beef… It was really delicious! I would say that it was the best beef don I had ever tried and man… how did the chef cook that? The sauce for the beef don was so delicious that I would love to have more though the serving was just great for one.

After an awesome meal, it was dessert time… we were served white sesame ice-cream and umeshu jelly. They were a perfect combination! It was our first time trying the white sesame ice-cream and was really impressed by it.

I hope to visit again but somehow it’s not that cheap for set lunch…. mmmh… will consider… hahahaah
