Emma’s First Christmas

I am happy that I can celebrate this beautiful season of Christmas at the comfort of my own home as I was told that my due date was 22nd Dec. Emma decided to see the world on 7th Dec instead as I guess she is loving mummy… and would like us to have her join us for the celebration!

We prepared food and Sheryl made the delicious log cake for our desserts. It was a simple but yet wonderful, joyful celebration this year. It is indeed our joy and we really thank God for our beautiful Christmas gifts!

Welcome Home Emma

After staying at the ICU for a week, she is finally able to discharge and come home. Before heading home after her discharge, we went to the chapel at the hospital to have a presentation to the Lord ceremony as she is indeed a God’s gift to us.

Everyone was excited to see her at home especially her grandparents. My confinement lady was happy and guess today will marks the beginning of her sleepless nights…

Hello Little Missy

This morning I was experiencing some leakage of water and did not think much about it as my due date is 23 Dec which is about 2 more weeks to go. I continued to read the news on my iPad while Faith was having her milk.

About 5 minutes, I felt the water again and I thought my bladder is malfunctioned… I got up and went to check but somehow not too serious. After taking my shower, I monitored myself and did not think much again. While I was talking to Faith, I felt the water gushing again and this time, I was panic! I made a phone call to mum and she asked me to check myself in.

When I got to the hospital, I was sent to the delivery room and the nurse checked on me though I wasn’t sure. I had no contraction or bleeding so, they left me there to rest. After an hour, they came back to check on me and told me that I am dilating from 2cm to 5cm though no pain yet. I was confused but I continued to watch my HK drama series as I wait for the contraction.

Another hour had passed and this time, I felt the contraction coming and told the nurse to get my epidural ready. After the epidural injection, I felt more relieved and now I am really waiting for the little one to arrive. My doctor came about an hour or so after the injection to check on me and he told me that I am doing well and ready.

It was all too quick and the next moment, little missy was out and put in front of me… she was really beautiful and tiny but I was still in shock! I guess she is really bored in my womb and want to get out early.
Welcome my little missy… Emma Tiana See

Maternity Leave Celebration

As you guys already know that I will be popping pretty soon and today being the last day of work for me, my boss arranged this wonderful maternity leave celebration for me… :0)

We went to dine at Pietrasanta located at Portsdown Road and I am sure that I will be enjoying some of my favourite foods before I confinement for the next 1 month. I am not sure when will baby girl arrives and certainly hope not tonight…

We ordered many of our favourite dishes like the calamari, cold cuts and white wine as our starters. It was a super relaxing evening for me as I will be on leave from next week till I return to work in March. I am going to feast out like no tomorrow…. Hahahaahah
As for entries, I ordered squid inked pasta, risotto, arabiatta to share and boss ordered more wines too. We had the roast chicken for our mains and at this time, boss ordered another round of calamari as it was so tasty!
Though we had so much food to stomach in but we had to eat the desserts to end this super wonderful dinner. We ordered the creme brulee, panacotta as well as the lava cake. I simply love the creme brulee not because I am pregnant but it was really really DELICIOUS!!!
We enjoyed the food, wine and as well as the lively, funny conversation with each other. I am sure I will be missing these guys though I can’t wait to be on leave… hahaahahah

Disney ‘LIVE’

Faith has been a great fan of princesses and fairies since she was about 3 years old when she got her hands on iPad.

I have always wanted to bring her for Disney On Ice but somehow it failed twice so, I wouldn’t want to let her down this time when Disney ‘Live’ came to Singapore and what’s best… they included the 3 princesses stories…

I planned it with my sister-in-laws as it will be fun to watch it together with her cousins. We went for the afternoon show and man... it was a total sell out. The seats I chose were pretty good for that expensive tickets but I am happy that our view was clear and we had the six seats all by ourselves. J

The show was not too bad started off with the story of snow white and followed by Cinderella. After a 15 minutes interval, the show continued with The Beauty and The Beast which I thought was the best among the 3 stories.

Faith enjoyed herself so much that she wanted to watch it again and I guess we will be going for the Disney On Ice next… J

Go Italian

Boss is expecting some VIPs next week and he invited us to inspect the Italian restaurant which he is planning to take his guest. Today, we are here at Oso Ristorante expecting for a good feast out… J

I was asked to ‘study’ the menu while my boss checks out the wine collection at their wine cellar. I browsed through the menu and selected some of their signature & our favourite dishes. I went with a selection of cold cuts of course and followed by 2 pastas & 1 risotto.

The cold cuts were good and portion was great for the four of us. Pastas tasted as good as it looked but I thought the risotto was slightly salty though it was equally good. Then our main dish cod fish was served shortly and I would give it a 7/10.
As for desserts, we had tiramisu, panacotta and 2 flavours of ice-cream. The tiramisu was really good in my opinion and so was the panacotta. I would say that I would really be satisfied if they have crème brulee too…

We had fabulous luncheon indeed and I am sure we will be back again for dinner soon. J

Site Inspection At Fullerton Bay Hotel

This is one hotel that I have always wanted to view after reading and hearing so much about it through friends, media & even clients. Jessica kindly arranged the site inspection soonest before I take my maternity leave.

Monica who is our Sales Manager waited for us at the lobby when we arrived and started showing us around the property. It gave me the feel that I was in a cruise ship rather than hotel. The design was nice and cozy indeed. The rooms were great though not too spacious for the high price we expect to pay…

After a quick site inspection, Monica invited us to dine at their newly revamped cafĂ©, The Clifford Pier which served local cuisines. We were given the green light to order anything or infact everything on the menu… hahahaha…but of course, we ordered what we wanted to try and some to share.

I would say that the food served at The Clifford Pier was ordinary and nothing really special about it. I tasted better local cuisines at other hotels and I think they should add more interesting items on their menu such as Nasi Briyani, Dim Sums etc…

I like the hotel overall though I would minus the food unless they improve…hahahahaah

My Pre-Natal Shoot

I enjoyed having this pre-natal shoot when I was pregnant with Faith and now, I am doing it again for Emma. I was really lucky to have Belle & David to take charge of the shoot as I know they will do a great  job!

This is somehow different as we have included Faith to be in the shoot as she will soon have a little sister and she is really excited about it. She was initially very happy to be involved but guess after a while, she got bored and refused to take more pictures.

I am really happy that the pictures turned out to be so beautiful and I simply loved it! Thank you Belle & David for taking your time to do the shoot for us!

An Evening With The Horses

Knowing that our little one loves to watch ‘My Little Pony’, I was very sure that she’s gonna love watching the horses performs ‘LIVE’. So, I bought tickets to watch Cavalia which was held at MBS.

We took a train to MBS since parking there was ridiculously expensive. The event venue was tented up and simply excited when we arrived. Faith was thrilled to see the posters leading to the gates and we were asked to hurry up!!

As we entered the tents, the first stop was the souvenir area where you can find everything about horses in Cavalia. We tried to stop her from buying but failed… we bought her a pony which was somehow one of the more affordable items among the rest.

After climbing up some flights of stairs, we were finally seated and view was not too bad though we were seated at the far right side of the stage. Faith began to get excited as soon as she saw the horses came out of sudden. She kept telling us… ‘Mummy, look at the horses...aren’t they pretty?’

This is one show that was pretty worth watching as the stunts were fantastic, dangerous and some are mind blowing… though it was about less than 2 hours show, I thought it was really enjoyable to watch how well they trained their horses. Thumps UP!

Family Bonding In JB

We planned to have family holiday to Taiwan this December but we had to cancel due to the arrival of our second child. Since my EDD will be in December, we decided to have a family bonding session earlier.

We decided on heading to Hello Kitty Town once again for the kiddos and it will be more relaxing for our elderly to chill and spend time with their grandkids.

We set off early after breakfast to beat the crowd at the custom but somehow it was crowded too. The kiddos were excited to get into HK Town so we headed down immediately while hubby and Sheryl took care of the elderly at coffee shops.

We tried to accommodate the kiddos with most of the rides and activities as much as possible so that we can be on time for our lunch.

Faith enjoyed herself so much with her cousins, taking most of the rides and watching the ‘Live’ shows which featured Barney (one of her favourites). All the kids were very spontaneous as they danced and sang along.

After our lunch, we checked ourselves into Traders’ Hotel and we got to chill out at the pool before heading off for dinner.

My Buddy Is The Best Make Up Artiste!

Congratulations to my buddy RIE! When she told me about her participating in the make-up competition, I was very sure and confident that she will WIN!

The competition was held at VivoCity and I rushed down to support her after work. It was boring at work but this was something I was looking forward to the whole day. When I arrived, I saw her mum and she asked me to join them…

Before the competition started, there was finger food served to all invited guest and yes, I was honored to be one of them… Woohoo!!! Shortly after the introduction by the organizers, the contestants were introduced individually with their models. I was really excited for Rie though I was very confident that she will win it.

They were given 30 minutes to finish up the eye make-up with a theme and I was really happy to watch how good my buddy did. The eye make-up she did for the model was fantastic and beautiful! She called it ‘The Ugly Duckling’… how cool yea…
There was a short session where the ART Director of Shu Uemura showed his version of the beauty art makeup while the organizers consolidate the results. Though I wasn’t there to witness her wining as I had to be home but when I saw her message informing me that she WON, I was overjoyed!!!

Congratulations my buddy!!! You GOT IT!!!! WOOHOO!!!

Boss’s Big SIXTY

Since the departure of my crazy boss, my department is blessed with a great boss whom we enjoyed working for. Someone who is considerate, kind and with a great sense of humor that never fail to create a friendly and stress free environment.

With that appreciation, we organized a dinner party for him at Spring Court which somehow surprised him. He was not aware that so many of us turned up for the dinner as he thought it was only planned by my department. We also included colleagues from another department.

When he arrived at Spring Court, he was really happy to see all of us welcoming him in the private room. We prepared the dinner menu for him in advance and most of the dishes were his favourites. With that, Linda had the honor to ‘tear’ the suckling pig apart so that we can enjoy the meat without any mess.
Half way through dinner, we presented him with his birthday card and gift. He was so happy to receive the Golden Peach from all of us. It symbolized good wishes and good health which is appropriate for elderly…
We had a small entertainment by Linda & Tanaka-san who was dancing away in the room with the MTV and some of us also joined in the dance… haahahahahaah

It was totally a crazy and fun dinner gathering! Happy Birthday Boss! Wishing you good health and God bless you always!

Birthday Staycation

Since it was a long weekend, I booked us in at Pan Pacific for a staycation to celebration hubby’s birthday. After mass, we checked ourselves to hotel and took a rest before heading out for dinner.

Hubby wanted a simple dinner so, we decided to dine at Marche since I am craving for Rostti… it wasn’t crowded as we arrived earlier than usual dinner time. We were given a seat after queuing for about 10 minutes. Dinner at Marche has always been good though they no longer served stingray like they used to during those days at Scotts.
After dinner, we returned to hotel and hubby was surprised by a cake kindly arranged by the hotel staff who find out that it is hubby’s birthday tomorrow during my check-in. It was really sweet of her to arrange the cake for us.

Faith was really happy to find chocolate cake placed on the side table and was excited to celebrate daddy’s birthday. She sang hubby a birthday song and refused to take shower as she wants to have picture taken in her outfit with daddy.
It was a simple birthday staycation but hubby felt special as we celebrated as a family. We will be looking forward to our additional family member next year to join us for all celebrations.

Happy birthday baby… We love you!

My Mum’s Birthday Celebration

It has been a busy week due to the continuous birthday celebration that my family is celebrating. Today, I celebrated my mum’s birthday with the company of my dear family.

I hosted the dinner at Golden Peony which is one of my mum’s favourite Chinese restaurant. As the set menu was kind of too much for us, we decided to order a-la-carte instead. After checking with everyone’s preference, we ordered some of their signature dishes. We were happy that everyone enjoyed the food we ordered and most of them given thumps up too.
Mum is extremely happy to celebrate her birthday with family members and especially when her beloved grand-daughter who sang the birthday song loudly for her. It was though a simple celebration but it meant so much for my mum as it’s another good opportunity to have the bonding session with the family.

Happy birthday mummy dearest! May the good Lord bless you always and we love you very much!

July Babies’ Birthday Celebration

July has always been a busy month for birthday celebrations. We celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday 2 weeks ago and today, we are here again to celebrate my mum’s, my father-in-law and my hubby’s birthday.

We went to our family favorite restaurant Spring Court for this special occasion and we were happy that the staff specially made the birthday buns for us. It was nicely placed on a plate with Chinese congratulatory message for the July babies.
While the adults enjoyed the dinner, the kiddos took over the mics to entertain us with their voices. It was certainly an enjoyable dinner with good nursery rhymes by the kiddos.

During the cake cutting ceremony, the kids continue to sing the birthday song to the 3 birthday babies and that certainly added more joy to them.
Happy blessed birthday mummy dearest, Ah Pa & baby!!! Love you guys so much!

A Day At Hello Kitty Town

We somehow missed the opportunity of going to Hello Kitty Town on our previous family get away in June but this time, we are back just for this theme park.

Faith was really overexcited this morning as she knew that we will be heading to Hello Kitty Town. We set off early and when we arrived at Puteri Harbour, we went straight to the theme park. The theme park is really small though it consisted of 4 levels.
We went to the Hello Kitty Town which was located on the 2nd floor and man… it was just one level of fun with a small tea cup ride near the entrance. After taking the ride, we walked around and went into Hello Kitty house where Faith was really happy and she kept asking us to build her room almost similar to the ones she saw.
After touring the house, we were just in time to catch the My Melody for a photo session. Since it was a weekday and non-peak season, it wasn’t crowded at all. The queue was short and brief. While waiting for the next photo-session with Hello Kitty & Daniel, we went to level 3 to watch Thomas & Friends show which lasted about 20 minutes. Faith knew about Thomas but not a great fan so, she wasn’t as excited as the other kiddos.

We took lunch break since the other shows and photo sessions were in the afternoon. We walked to the nearby Ajisan to have our lunch and went back for the shows. First we went to have a photo-taking with Hello Kitty & Daniel and went to the activity room while waiting for another show. The activity room allowed the kiddos to decorate their cookies and making badges which was pretty fun for Faith. She was excited to decorate cookies though she made quite a mess out of it…

We went to get our seat at level 3 waiting for Barney show and Faith was really excited to see her favrouite ribena overdosed dinosaur! Hahaahahah…. She was all up and jumpy when Barney came out and she joined in the dance and songs when the host invited the kids to the front line. To me, I think Barney show is the best show as there were more interaction compared to both Thomas & Hello Kitty which was just too boring for both Faith & I.
We went to check ourselves in at Traders after a fun day at the theme park. Right after settling down, Faith suggested that she wants to swim instead of taking a nap. We got changed and went to the pool which wasn’t crowded in the late afternoon. We were happy to see Faith enjoying her swim though she could only kick and swim around with the help of the float but we could see improvement that she was able to kick better.
As for dinner, we went to dine at Brussels (a German Café) but served pretty good food. We ordered pasta for our dinner as Faith preferred pastas. While waiting for our food to be served, our little one fell in deep sleep and she refused to wake up for her dinner. All we could do was to return to our room after dinner and hopefully she will wake up to have some food before she calls it a night.
It was simply a fun but tiring day for her and she can’t wait to be back again.
