Happy Blessed Birthday To The Man In My Life

I have planned loads of programs for this day but was kind of turned down by the birthday boy coz’ he was unable to take leave due to his project. He has been very busy with his work and even hardly seen him at home during the weekends… sighz… that’s my busy man!

Today, being his birthday, he had to work overtime but managed to be home slightly earlier than before to have dinner with us. After our late dinner, I surprised him with a birthday cake and I was happy that he was happy even to have a minute of celebration with the family.

The kiddos were his joy and pride! I know that no matter how hard he works, frustrated by his project and timeline, his face will light up whenever he steps home. It added more joy when the kids sang his birthday song loudly and clung onto him even for cake cutting… aaawwww….
Happy blessed birthday my soulmate, my man, my strength! May you be blessed with God’s wonderful blessings and may he continue to watch over you always. We love you very much!

Zumba Session

It’s Thursday once again and we are extremely excited to have fun at the Zumba class organized by our office building. Today is the birthday of my man but he has to work (as usual) and I happily joined the workout before heading home for the celebration!

Today’s workout was fun and it’s always fantastic to have your friends joining you. I am blessed that I have my usual kakis to join me for the workout every Thursday or as least for Zumba.
Can’t wait for the next session… Woohoo!!

July Babies Birthday Dinner

There are 4 July babies in my family and we are happy that we can celebrate with them yearly. This year, we had the celebration done at Peony Jade Keppel Club as it is one of the restaurants we would like to try out.

Recently, this restaurant was awarded with a Michelin award and that gave us a better reason to visit… J it wasn’t too crowded today when we arrived for dinner and the service staff were warm and friendly.
Food was served timing as we have pre-ordered the set menu in advance and changed some dishes from the menu to suit my mum and father-in-law after all this celebration is for them and my dear hubby too….

The dishes were tasty and forgive me for forgetting to have the food pictures taken as I was too busy attending to our 2 kiddos. Baby Emma was trying to move around considering sitting too long on a high chair can be tiring… hahaahahahah

We bought the cake from our favourite Jane Cake Station but a chocolate for a change. We love their durian cake but this time, a chocolate cake to try weren’t too bad after all. J
Happy birthday to you guys and may the good Lord showers his Blessings on you!

An ‘Adventure’ Outing

It has been a long time since we planned to take half a day off from work and hang out together eating dim sum and do some shopping. We DID IT today!

We set off to have our long awaited dim sum buffet at Ban Heng located at Harbour-Front after a short but hard working morning… hahahahahaah…. When we arrived, the restaurant was not crowded at all and we were given a seat at the cozy corner.

It was a dim sum buffet where you placed an order and you will be served. Apart from the dim sum menu, there were appetizer; desserts and drinks counter which was part of the buffet. The spread was pretty good as one of the dishes was chili crabs…  pretty good but tasted alright only.

After the buffet, we went to VivoCity for a walk and did some window shopping too. As usual, when we are together, it’s crazy time! We wanted to keep this memorable outing day and we started to selfie and wefie wherever we go…. Hahaahahah…. It sounded crazy but man…. it was pretty fun! Now we have all these wonderful shots for our keepsake.
After shopping for a while, we passed by the dessert shop within distance and Linda stormed into the cafĂ© and sat down while Sam & I were still in the middle of our conversation deciding if we should have coffee or desserts …. Hahahaahahahah…

We went with the flow and ordered our Hong Kong style desserts though we just had our heavy buffet lunch perhaps about 2 hours ago!!!! I guess all the energy was used up by walking and taking selfie/wefies along the way!!
It was no doubt an enjoyable day out with the ladies and I am sure we will do that again soon…. hahahahaah

Primary One Registration Day

P1 Registration Day??? SERIOUSLY???

I still couldn’t believe that our 1st born will be entering the next milestone next year and here we are in her future school queuing up for registration.

This day has finally come!!! I have heard so much about the registration from friends, colleagues and even my family members who kids are already in primary school that some school might need balloting as early as Phrase 2B. Worried? OF COURSE!

I have always wanted our daughters to be in a convent school and would very much love to put her back in my old school but had that opted out due to distance. We decided to put her in CHIJ Nativity instead which is considered nearer to where we are putting up.

We arrived in school early this morning having no idea what to do (1st time parents) but it was very much easy as there was many friendly staff from school to guide us through. We were given numbers to wait and went to the counter to submit the application forms and the rest of the documents like our marriage cert, baptism cert of parent, child’s birth cert and a copy of her medical record from her health book.

After which, we were asked to proceed to the room to wait for our turn to officially register our child to the school. The whole process was over within the next hour and we will wait for the results in 2 days’ time to check if there is a need for balloting. If there isn’t any balloting, our application is considered successful! Keeping our fingers CROSSED!

Birthday Celebration For Mother-In-Law

We have many babies in July and my mother-in-law is one of them. This year, we decided to try out new restaurant for the celebration. Sheryl (my sis-in-law) kindly booked Si Chuan Dou Hua located at Kitchener Road and this would our first time visiting this restaurant.

This is one cozy but rather small scale restaurant. Despite of its size, the restaurant was somehow fully booked tonight. We pre-ordered the menu and it was served promptly once all were seated. We were actually lucky to have gotten a private room instead of table in the dining hall as many families were celebrating birthdays too.

The dishes were pretty good and I would say that the service was thumps up! We did not have high expectation of this outlet as most of us had been to the one at UOB Building which served up good food and service.

This is one good restaurant being shadowed by its two other branches and I would think that this is a better location as it’s not as crowded and attention given full to you.

Happy Birthday Ma. Wishing you good health all year round!

Canossian Heritage Race For Funds

I was asked by Susan to join the Canossian Heritage Race which is a fund raising race for the new CCPS and since it was a great way to help the school, I asked my buddies to form a team to race. I know I can always count on my buddies and we successfully formed a team and went join the race.

This morning, we arrived early for registration and after a prayer from the sister, we raced off. It was like the Amazing Race style you see on TV and it was actually very fun! You see everyone rushing and became secretive about their whereabouts were kind of cute.

Our first clue was to head down to Rocher Road to take a picture with the rainbow building which will be gone very soon. We continued our race to Little India to have Hana done on our hands and did a dance as a completion of a task.
It was a hot day but it did not stop us from completing most of the task though we did not manage to finish all. We tried our best and gave up one of the task as we did not have enough time… well... because we spent too much time having breakfast… hahaahahah
We returned to school after when it was almost reaching the time line. We saw a couple of groups returned earlier than we do and already taking their rest… As for us, we did it for the fun of having the chance to give back to the school and also to bond with friends.

With the wonderful and good managements from the committee members, this is one very successful event and I do hope that they will organize again.

Kidzania With The Ngs

Faith was so excited she learned Mike & family will be in town for a week. We arranged for an outing almost immediately and it coincide with the celebration of Bella’s birthday too.

Stella promptly invited us to Kidzania Sentosa to celebrate Bella’s birthday and at the same time, spending a day together. We were thrilled to join of course and off we go this morning after picking the Ngs at their residence.

We headed down to Sentosa and happily checked ourselves into Kidzania without delay. We were happy to know that there weren’t many people at such early hours and the kids managed to complete some of the tasks like being a security guard where they had to transfer the money from the bank to other stores. Kiddos will receive their reward (Kidzania Money) when they completed the task.
It was fun to see the kids at work and especially when they were dressed in the uniform like the fire fighter where they learnt how to put off fire from a building, being a staff at Lim Chee Guan Bak Kwa, making their own candy, finding evidence as a CSI, surgeon, dentist, doctor or perhaps a scientist.
While the two older kids were enjoying themselves doing play roles, our little precious was having fun at the room where they housed babies and toddlers.
After a quick lunch, the kids continued their venture of being a DJ of Kiss 92 and their last stop was being an air stewardess on Emirates. Both Stella & me were happy that we were able to board the ‘flight’ that our daughters worked on and being served by them was PRICELESS!

There are too many things to do or to BE but too little time. I am sure we will be back for the action again in the near future.
We headed back to land… for our dinner at Modesto located at Vivocity. We ordered our food as usual and the kids had a great time bonding. Dinner was fantastic and everyone went home happy.

Thank you Mike & Stella for making this outing successful and let’s do it again when you are back in town yea… J till then… see you in Perth!

Get Active With Piloxing

This would be the 2nd session of exercise routines organized by our office building and it was somehow pretty much welcome by many working staff. Today, we are having Piloxing for the first time and we have no idea what is this routine all about.

We noticed more people joining this session compared to the 1st and we do hope that this will continue for a long time. It is really nice to work out with your colleagues after a hard day’s work and it feels great sweat it out…

We were down early and BEING US… we preferred to take some selfies before we looked ugly after the workout… hahaahah… this time, the instructor was different. She looked really toned and mmmh… muscular… her moves and routine was pretty much a combination of Zumba and Pilate.

The moves were very much on stretching and balancing. It’s totally not easy for a first timer like me though I was able to follow some Zumba moves and got myself moving. It was really tiring but I tried to push myself to follow.

This 1 hour workout seemed long for me this time as it was difficult but at the end of the session, I was all drained and I could feel my body working out… by the time I boarded the train with my pals, I couldn’t feel my legs… I thought I left them at my office…. Haahahahaahahh… that’s how tiring okay!!!
Considering to join the next Piloxing??…. I guess not….

Happy 19th Months

Time passes really fast and Emma turns 19th Months today. To be honest, I am still living back in time when she is just a little baby… yes… you can say that I am in a denial stage…

Wishing you good health and may you continue to stay happy Emma. We love you very much!

Movie Outing With The Family

Selamat Hari Raya to my Malay Friends… J

Being a public holidays, we usually try to arrange an outing with the family and this is one of those days…

We went for dim sum at Yan’s Court located in Chinatown with the family for a sumptuous luncheon before heading for movie. During our luncheon, we searched for suitable movie for the young and finally decided to watch ‘Alice In A Wonderland’ which was the best among all other movies.

We headed down to Suntec after sending our parents & baby Emma back to in-law’s place to rest. We managed to get the tickets though it was pretty much last minute. Though our seats were not the best but what matters was we managed to sit & watch the movie together as a family.

Personally, Faith’s older cousins & I liked the movie very much while Faith and her younger cousins found it pretty scary…. Hahaahahaha… overall, we managed to sit through with them with pop corns, chips to entertain them.

It was indeed a well-spent holiday with the family and we should plan more of such outings to let the children bond.
