Baby Girl’s Baptism

Baptism is one of the sacraments that all Catholics will receive out of the 7 holy sacraments. We registered her at St. Anne’s Church for her baptism as hub preferred it to be nearer to home and it is a special service.

We appointed Susan again as our child’s God-mother since she is our first born’s God-mother too. She has been a great god-mother to our child as she always asks about them and how their being is though we don’t get to meet often.

During the baptism, baby Emma did not cry but was at lost. She was looking at Father Francis when water was poured over her forehead and I guessed for that moment, she thought she was taking a bath.
We are happy to have Bird’s family to join us for this happy occasion and sharing our joy. I was also thankful that she was our photographer for the event since most of us were busy.
Baby Emma Tiana is officially a catholic and a child of God. We are really thankful for the beautiful gift of life once again and she is a true miracle.
Thank you God for sending this beautiful angel to our lives!

My Little Pony Friend-Tastic Picnic Party

Faith is a great fan of the cartoon serials My Little Pony and when I chanced upon this party at Bishan Park, I told myself that I am definitely bringing her there. I broke the news to her just a week before the event and our little lady was all excited about it.

Today, we are all prepared to join this garden party. She was all excited when she returned from ballet and after her luncheon; we set off for the party. When we arrived, there was a large crowd taking their space on the field and many came prepared with umbrellas, mats and fans.
For us, we somehow hope to join some friends and sister in law but somehow they did not manage to make it due to some reasons. While we were trying to find ourselves a shady corner but the sun was overpowering… Faith wanted to try out some stuff at the different stalls but it was too hot for her to join the long queue. We only managed to take pictures with the standees around the field and left home…

Though we did not managed to join the fun but Faith was happy with her goodie bag…

Goodbye Malaysia

After a good 3 days of fun in Malaysia, it’s time to return to reality. After breakfast, we hopped on to the coach and head back to Singapore.

Along our journey, we stopped by in Malacca for lunch and hub’s cousin Catherine kindly booked one of the recommended restaurants for our meal. She reserved the suckling pig which is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes and we ordered the rest of the dishes on the spot.

The restaurant is located at a newly developed area and not too crowded. It seemed like it is pretty popular among the Malaysians and some tourists (like us)… the food was served pretty promptly and tasted very good too. However, I didn’t find the suckling pig a WOW compared to the ones we had back home.

The journey back home was smooth till we arrived at the immigration at JB. It was like a mad house and I was really shocked to see perhaps about more than thousands of people try to queue to get through. I was considered lucky when I stepped up onto the immigration door when the lady officer noticed me carrying a child requested me to step forward. WOW… for the first time, I was given priority leh… feels good indeed.

This trip has been a good but tiring trip for me as travelling with an infant of 6 months old is really not that FUN…though I enjoyed everyone moment.

Shopping Spree In KL City

This morning after our sumptuous breakfast, we gathered everyone at the lobby for a family picture before setting off for our shopping spree. The hotel staff was really helpful and kind to assist us for the huge family picture. Thumps Up!
Our schedule is ‘Free N Easy’ day for everyone who wants to shop. We went to comb the Chinatown after our breakfast before heading to lunch. When we arrived at Chinatown, family spilt up to do their own shopping and our own luncheon before heading back to the meeting point. The weather was really hot but I was happy that I enjoyed my favourite cup of cool lou han guo drink which I had been missing for so many years…

Honestly, there wasn’t much to shop on this street and we decided to get some cool air at the book shop nearby… hahahaahah… but we bought some books from there since it was such a good buy.

After our simple luncheon at the local food court, we went back to the hotel so that the elderly could take some rest while the young ones continued their shopping spree at the nearby shopping malls. I am happy that I did not spend much for this trip but more on stuff for kiddos instead.

It was quite unlucky that I developed a fever in the evening and wasn’t able to join hubby and his cousins for streetfood dinner…

Visit To Strawberry Park

On our way to KL city, we dropped by at the Genting Highlands’ strawberry park. It was my first time visiting the park though we have been to Genting many times.
For the kiddos to experience to handpick the strawberries is such a joy. Faith enjoyed picking the strawberries and learnt how the fruit is being planted. She told me that she wants to grow the fruit at home but I told her that Singapore is too hot to plant strawberries.

Enjoying the cool weather on the highlands and that made the park visits an enjoyable one and she was excited to show her grandparents the fruits that she picked.

After our enjoyable luncheon, we set off to KL. We arrived at ParkRoyal KL in the mid afternoon and the rooms were spacious. We rested at the hotel and while I tried to put Emma onto her baby cot, the bed fell off!!! YES… it somehow fell off…and Thank GOD I did not let go of baby Em.

We called the House-Keeping immediately and they came up to check on the cot. The cause of it was they did not fix the cot and was not tighten properly. They fixed it up promptly and made sure it was safe to use before they left our room.

So, parents, please check the cot before putting your child down…

Family & Emma’s First Oversea Trip

I remembered when we took Faith for her overseas trip was to Bintan after she turned 18 months but we decided to take Emma for her 1st overseas’ trip when she is at a tender age of 6 months. We were obviously worried but we went ahead with it.

We chartered a coach for the family of 20 and set off to our road trip to Malaysia. We set off early this morning and stopped over at the JB for our breakfast. With the amount of food we ordered, it was more like a brunch or early lunch for me rather. We enjoyed the braised duck with rice noodles and other dishes as it was really tasty.

After the short break, we continued our journey to Genting Highlands which was our first stop. I was really thankful that Emma was pretty quiet during the ride and almost slept through the journey. Though it was a long ride but we were glad that we had a two toilet breaks on the way to Genting.

Before heading to our hotel, we stopped over for lunch at Genting and enjoyed our reasonable priced lunch and our favourite desserts – DURIANS! The price for durians were really good and pretty cheap compared to the ones back home.

We checked ourselves into Resorts Hotel Genting after a long coach ride. The hotel is pretty cool and spacious. We rested for a while and after dinner; hubby & I went to try our luck at the casino. The casino did not change a bit since our last visit back about 6 years ago.

Good night Genting Highlands!

Baby Emma is 6 Months Old

Emma turns 6 months old today and bet she will soon be able to sit steadily on her own soon. I wished the clock could tick a little slower so that she will not be growing up too fast!
