Hitting The Half Year Mark

Our little one hit the half year mark today and we were really happy to see her grow healthily day by day. Hitting the half year mark is somehow a big deal to us as she will soon learn to walk and talk. Remembering her as a baby in my arms six months back is fading away and I am missing those moments with her.




We checked ourselves in to Conrad Hotel for her little celebration as she simply loved the bed there… guess it’s bigger and softer… mmmh… she was rolling on the bed and flipping right and left.





After dinner, we drove down Orchard Road as she loves lights. She enjoyed the light up along Orchard Road and she was jumping on my lap in the car! We didn’t manage to get down for some photo-taking as it was so crowded! We decided to return to hotel to spend time playing with her instead which was priceless.

Lunch With Minowa-san

It’s been a long time since we last have lunch together. I remembered that our last gathering was at UE Square at an Italian restaurant.

This time, Minowa-san invited Linda and I to Youmenya Goemon located at the newest Marina Bay Financial Centre which is newly opened. It is located in the new area near to Marina Bay Sands.


The mall was really huge and the place wasn’t exactly ready for business. We searched for the restaurant for a while we weren’t sure where the restaurant is located. After finding it for a while, we finally found the restaurant and there were many people queuing up.

After we were seated, we were given the salad bowl for set lunch. I had to take more as it was only for 1 serving; though the salad bar selection wasn’t plenty. We enjoyed the salads very much.

I ordered the pasta with sliced pork belly, Linda ordered the pasta with cream based soup (looked like our local laska) and boss ordered the combination of 2 pastas. I had to say that all the pastas were delicious except the red sauce. Personally, I am no tomato based fan and I didn’t like it at all. I simply enjoyed my pasta in aglio style with pork belly. It’s YUMMY!




After lunch, we took a walk down the Marina Bay Link mall as it is new and we were wondering where it linked to. Finally, we found an exit and it brought us up to the Fullerton area where it faces Marina Bay Sands.

10th Year Anniversary Celebration

Time flies and today, we celebrated our 10th years wedding anniversary with the family. We arranged an outing for the family at the Jurong Bird Park; a place of interest which I have not been for a long long time.

We set off early this morning and our little one excited about it as we told her that we are going on an outing with the family. Though she was small but somehow she knew what was going on. We went to pick up my in-laws and set off to Jurong Bird Park.

Then we arrived, the weather wasn’t on our side and started to rain. It poured like cats and dogs but we waited for awhile and continued our journey. Our first stop was the Pools Amphitheatre for the bird show. It was really interesting and the kids enjoyed the show thoroughly.












The rain stopped as the show ended. We moved around the bird park on foot and we managed to see quite a lot of different kinds of birds. On our way to the rail, we passed by the pigeon world and man… I was surprised to see such a big blue bird moving out of its area. Though it was friendly but we still refrained the kids from getting near to the bird.













Before leaving the park, we went to have a closer look at the beautiful flamingo. They were so graceful and man...they sure have chopsticks legs... haahahah












After the outing at the Bird Park, we adjourned to Crystal Jade at Great World City for lunch and went home after that.

We took some rest at home and in the evening, hubby and I went for dinner at Jerry’s located at Jalan Kayu which is near our place. Though it was our 10th Years wedding anniversary, we were happy that we spent it with the family and with our little addition. She really brought happiness to our life and we are really blessed to have her.
