SSDVP Zoo Outing

It’s been ages since I last visited the Singapore Zoo and today, I am finally visiting the Zoo. YIPPY! This outing is planned by the SSDVP and since hubby is one of the members, as a spouse, is invited to join too… It was organized especially for the needy.

We arrived in church early and while hubby was busy taking attendance, I was busy on the other hand taking pictures with my friends….hahaahah… Anyway, we were all excited to visit the Zoo together. The buses set off at around 8:45am and though we were a little behind time but am sure we will have a good time.

There were lots of changes at the Zoo compared to my last visit which was couple of years back. There were more eateries and even the entrance was different. As we walked, we saw some monkeys swinging themselves from trees to trees.

Visited my ‘Siblings’; the beautiful White Tigers and man… they were really gorgeous man! I was really happy to capture some cool pictures of them with my Canon camera… *winks* As we walked, we saw other animals like the Wallaby, Zebras, Orangutans, Emu, etc…

We went to watch one of the animal shows and the main animal was the cute sea lion. It performed some tricks and I simply love the sea lion… it was fat and very cute la…

Though the Zoo is not huge but somehow it was difficult for some elderly to walk and the weather is not helping as it was so HOT! We hopped on to the tramp for a round trip ride and it was relaxing but can’t get closer to the animals…

We set off to lunch ‘Foods ‘R’ Us at Queen’s Road. I almost choked when I saw the name of the restaurant! Okay, the food was pretty tasty and the price was reasonable too.

Thank you God for giving us this opportunity to spend time with your people and making them happy.

Joey Yung’s Concert 2009

I was really honored to be given 1 pair of tickets to watch Hong Kong Diva Joey Yung’s concert. My ex-boss Miyazaki-san was generous enough to give me 1 pair of tickets as he was not able to visit SIN himself.

After evening mass at Tampines, we rushed down immediately and found out that there were no specific queues for our seats or blocks. It was really messy and crowded as there was only one entrance. Though the crowd was moving but somehow it wasn’t very organized… Sighz…

Anyway, our seats were simply great; 8th row from the stage and man… really near! I have never gotten that perfect seats. As usual, the first 3 rows were occupied by her fans and they were really crazy and loud! Some of them were from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and even Japan. I was pretty impressed….

Her concert started with a cool ballad and then with high energy fast number. Her dancers were cool and some were pretty boyz… *winks* her costumes were pretty and wasn’t loud but classy. I liked some of her outfits and it was mmmh… sexy and glamorous. While she was doing another fast number from her latest album, she walked down the stage and immediately I ran to the front and YES, I managed to get a handshake from her! COOL!!

She is really skinny in person; average height but with a damn powerful voice! Though I am not a die hard fan of hers but I must say I do like most of her ballads. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the ‘sing-along’ session with her as she sang a mixture chain of both old and new songs. She even provided her fans with the lyrics on the big screen! How thoughtful!

The concert hit the climax when she did a few continuous fast numbers and the energy was so great that it brought everyone on their feet and dance. I was extremely happy and I was dancing on the chair (like those good old days in HRC).

The two and a half hours concert ended off with a fun fast number after the fans shouted ‘Encore’. Everyone actually went wild and those who were seated behind came running towards the stage… it was truly awesome.

This is one of the best concerts I had been to and trust that HK stars concert definitely worth the watch!

CATS, The Musical

This is one musical that I missed when it first visited Singapore years back… I chose Phantom over Cats…

I was overjoyed and excited when I was given a pair of free tickets to watch this musical. It was known as one of the greatest and fun musical of all time. Therefore, I took time out to watch it with hubby.

The musical began at 8pm sharp and I was shocked by the ‘Cats’ even at the beginning! They actually came close to you and mingle like real cats… I could see their face make-up “UP CLOSED” and man… that was really shocking! Their costumes were simply sexy and colorful too.

During the break, while I was returning to my seat, I was shocked again by one of the ‘cats’ lying on the corner of the upper deck seats. It was starring right at me and then started to grin! My goodness… though I know that they are humans in Cat suits but… it was scary enough.

I simply enjoyed the Part II as the dance and songs were great. I must say that the ‘Rock Cat’ was my favorite as it was really cute and cool! I bet the audience loved him too. What I enjoyed most about Cats was the costumes, make-up, songs, dances and most of it… you get to see them near you!

The two and a half hour show was simply fantastic and time passed so fast when you are enjoying.

Thumps Up for Cats!

Site Inspection At Park Royal Beach Road

This site inspection was planned and postponed for a couple of times and today, we finally made it. Jessie kindly arranged both site inspection and dinner with the hotel.

When we arrived in the early evening, the lobby looked different from the last time we visited like couple of years back. It is cozier now and the lighting made us feel more comfortable after a long day of work.

Katherine & Don who in-charged of our accounts brought us around to view the hotel. The deluxe room was fully refurnished and looked much better than before. We are simply impressed by their premier room which has a huge balcony and the cool bathroom.

After the site inspection, we were invited to dinner and it was my first time trying the ‘white tuna’ and man… it actually beat Salmon flat man… the taste was awesome, very smooth and super good!

Thank you Jessie for the wonderful arrangements.
