School Outing The Singapore Zoo

The school has been active in organizing outings for the kids during the weekend to boost family bonding as one of their goals this year.

We were happy to sign up for the zoo outings organized by the school today and Faith was really excited. We headed out to the zoo early this morning and collected the tickets from the teachers at the entrance. While waiting for the rest of the families and kids to arrive, we gathered the kids for a photo session…
It was considered a great weather for the outdoors and though it was humid, but it was bearable. The sun was pretty kind to us as we walked around to check out the animals. We also taught the kids about the animals they saw along the way and Faith was not keen to see the lions as she was very afraid.

We managed to catch the sea lion show with her classmates and watching them enjoying themselves really filled our hearts with joy. I am sure she will be missing these beautiful kids after they leave school end of this year…

We went to the children zoo where their lunch will be served but we did not join lunch as our little ones were not keen on KFC… hahaahahaha… we continued to tour around the zoo and went to get a quick bite before heading for home.
Thank you StarLearners for the wonderful outing with the kids. J Thumps UP!

The Office Early Birds

I have been turning up early at office ever-since I applied for the flexi hours and I am not the only early birds at work…

I would say that we are one of those who sign in early every morning at work coz’ we are the early birds!! Most of us arrived early after sending our kiddos to school and some prefers to be in office for their breakfast, rest and avoid peak hours.
We feels that we looked our best in the morning as we are all looking fresh and happy! Let’s wefie… hahaahahahaha

Faith’s Ballet Class Award

Our lady Faith has been taking up ballet lessons since she was 4 years old. I remembered attending her ballet open house for parents where we are invited to see how much they have learnt. It was really great to see them performing what they have learnt.

This year, lady Faith participated in her Class Award exam in April and we were happy to receive the certificate and her 1st ballet badge today during the open house. When her name was called out and received the certificate, I was overjoyed and feeling emo fighting back my tears… :0)
I am really proud of her for going through the coaching lessons, the exams which she somehow sacrificed her Sundays to hang out with her cousins. She was really happy and proud to tell me that she did it and it’s all worth the sacrifices...

Their ballet teacher Ms. Tan also told us that the kids done very well for the Class Award and she urged parents to let their kids to participate in the Grade 1 ballet exam which will be held in April next year. I asked Lady Faith is she wants to go through the whole process again and her replied was a very FIRM YES!

Well Done darling! Keep up the good work!

Happy Blessed Birthday Yatomi-san!

He is one of the nicest bosses I ever worked with and with that, we are more than happy to celebrate his birthday no matter how busy we are.

We initially invited him to dinner but our humble boss invited us to his cozy home for the celebration instead. We brought him some snacks, cake, wine & pressie as our little token and we were surprised by him when we arrived at his residence.

We were welcomed by a homely handsome man with an apron came to answer the door. The first thing we asked was… ‘YOU ARE COOKING, BOSS?’ and his replied was ‘of course, for my VIPs’. Hahahahaaha….

He told us to sit and make ourselves at home while he finished up his preparation for dinner. We offered to help but were turned down… in return, we were asked to sit at a corner to relax and not disturb him as he want to cook SERIOUSLY!!! Haahahahahaah
We are surprised that boss can cook… he actually prepared ham & cheese platter (bought from Wine Connection), Japanese style salad and soba (cooked by boss). It actually tasted pretty good!!! The taste of home cooked food is the best!

Boss was happy with our arrangements, gifts and our company. He always prefers a simple celebration with close ‘friends’ like us which usually made him happy.
Thank you boss for your hospitality and your cooking is great! Happy blessed birthday to you too and may you be blessed with good health always! YUM SENG!!!!

NDP Celebration In School

Singapore will be celebrating its 50th birthday in a few days’ time and Star Learners organized a party for the kiddos at school.

This year, being the last year of Faith’s attending child-care before stepping onto the next milestone, she is pretty much sad though excited about the party. She was telling me that she will not be able to celebrate NDP with her school friends from next year and she will be missing the teachers too. awwww…. *sob sob*

They were all dressed in red in representing our flag’s colors for the celebration. We parents, prepared food for pot luck as a contribution to the party while the teachers planed the rest. J Faith enjoyed the parties held in school yearly and she has always returned home with a big smile and with some national day songs to share with us.
I am really happy that the schools are teaching the kids to sing songs relating to NDP celebration and educate them with the history of our country. I really appreciate the teacher’s effort though they might be too young to understand. Thumps UP!
