F1 Practice Session

This is really a day of excitement! 1st was the day practice session and when the sun sets, the roads came alive. Most of us went to catch a glimpse of the F1 car… when I said glimpse… it’s really GLIMPSE! It was so fast that when you blink, the car is no where to be found.

It was 6pm when the 1st practice started and though there wasn’t a big crowd on the side-roads, but it was definitely better to get there early for a good view. We stood by the road and waited for the car to zoom pass.

The experience was awesome man… it was really loud that for a moment, I thought I was going deaf. Nevertheless, the experience was priceless. Tried to catch the car with my cam but ended up getting their shadows instead. It was so fast that you can’t even tell what car just passed you.

We stood there for quite a while and we decided to get back to the office to rest our ears. It was indeed a wise choice as I noticed I could get a better view from the top though the speed was still unbelievable fast. Mmmh… guess I will visit Sepang someday for a real thrill.

F1 Mania

Everyone is excited about the F1 to be held in Singapore for the 1st time. Though the F1 is such a big thing all over world but when it's held in your office, it’s really a hassle to get to work. All the roads around our office are closed and those who drive must have a decal to enter the premises. It is somehow easier for people to take the public transports as we need to walk to office.

Anyway, we found that there will be a practice session this afternoon and we are all excited about it. It will be our very 1st time hearing the speeding sound of the F1. That should be awesome. We had a quick lunch and started our F1 mania at our office meeting room 19-7. I was testing out my camera and took some funny shots for my colleagues.

I bet most of us will be running to the meeting rooms at around 3pm to witness the practice session of BMW and Aston Martin… I really can’t wait for that moment to come… hahahaaahah

At 3pm, the F1 cars were on the roads and all the people in the office got excited, put down whatever they were doing and went to have a view of it at our window. It was really funny and we ran to the room 19-7 for a clearer view of the cars.

They were practicing a couple of rounds and we decided to have a closer look at the cars. We went down but saw some of our colleagues walking back telling us that they couldn’t see the cars at all as the fences were high.

Noticed 2 Porsche staff was waiting for taxi and we invited them for a photo taking. It was fun and man… those guys were cute!!

2 Weddings In A Day

I am honored to be invited to attend weddings but this is the 1st time that both weddings happened on the same day. Well, it’s the HOT date for wedding couples as it’s the Moon Cake festival. Many people believed that this day is extremely auspicious to tie the knot.

Early this afternoon, I went to Orchard Hotel to grace the wedding ceremony of Julia and Jason. It was my 1st time attending an 8-course wedding luncheon. It was interesting and when the doors are closed and with those lightings, it seemed it was a dinner instead.

The couple held exchanged their wedding vows on stage and I was really glad that I was there to grace this occasion. I was seated with the usual suspects and we had loads of fun within our table and we took many pictures of ourselves… okay… we noticed that it’s a wedding and we supposed to take more pictures of the couple but somehow we were out of control… hahhahahaha

When evening came, I prepared myself again for another wedding dinner and this time it was held at Sheraton Towers. Our Ainsles’ second son’s wedding. It was very grand and the ballroom held about 40 tables. It was beautifully decorated.

The food was quite alright but the serving was way too slow. I left before the dessert was served as I was feeling feverish … there goes my Or-nee…. Sob sob….

Congratulations to both wedding couples.
