Lady Faith Turns TEN!

This is so terrifying… the kids are growing up soooooooooooooooo fast that I can’t even catch up! Okay, I really can’t accept that my 1st born is already TEN! Man… where have those baby time gone?? Too fast to be honest! Why can’t the earth move a little slower!!!

Well, it’s still CB and we are unable to throw a party for her so, we decided to celebrate at home. No cake shops are open so, I decided to bake her a cake instead. She requested for a brownie cake instead of the normal birthday cakes and her wish is my command. 😊

I was happy to bake the brownie cake for her with cream cheese frosting though I have not done that before but it was all worth the try. It did not took me long to finish up the decoration as I wanted to get it done as soon as possible for I did not want her to see it till the celebration. 😊

She was in awe when she saw the cake and she can’t keep her eyes off the cake. She told me that it is the most beautiful cake I have made for her and she said that it is definitely better than those at the shop… awwww….

It was just a simple celebration after lunch and she just wait to cut her cake as desserts. 😊 she loved the cake very much and that really made me so happy that my dream of baking birthday cakes for my own children came true once again. 😊

Happy Blessed Tenth Birthday my darling! May you continue to grow in love of God and may He continue to bless and keep you always. We love you to the moon and back. 😊

Special Delivery

Well, May is one of the busiest month for birthdays apart from July. I am celebrating almost weekly with people who are dear to me and today, I made a special delivery to my childhood friend and the God-mother of my two kiddos.

Though we don’t meet up as often as we hoped to but we always try to make time to spend together to catch up yearly. During this CB, I think it is good time to catch up with people whom you treasure and love. I baked her chocolate cupcakes and hope that she will have a fantastic birthday celebration at home since we are not allowed to meet up and party.

Thank you Sue for being such a wonderful and selfless friend to me and my family. We wish you a blessed and beautiful birthday! May the good Lord always protect and keep you and shower you with his eternal blessings. Happy Blessed Birthday!

Birthday Surprise

It’s my Partner in Crime’s Birthday and we weren’t able to celebrate with her since it’s still CB, so I decided to send her a birthday surprise.

Baked her Ondeh Ondeh Cupcakes and informed her hubby that I will be sending it down to her but when I called her today to surprise her, she surprised me that she was out to do some marketing! Aiyoooooo…. I was like… “Aiyo… I planned to surprise you, but you surprised me in return!”

I continued my journey to her place, and she arranged her helper and my goddaughter to receive the gifts on her behalf. Though I did not get to see her personally but at least I saw my sweet God-dotter. 😊

Later in the afternoon, I received her message and she was overjoyed to see her favourite cupcakes. I am so happy that she loved it and at the same time, I was able to spread love during such tough times. 😊

Happy blessed birthday buddy! May you continue to stay the way you are and may all the happy stuff be with you always. 😊 Luv ya!

Our Little Chef

At times, I thought CB isn’t that bad after all… it gave us lots of time to bond with our family especially with our kids. I realized that there are so many things we have missed out doing with them when we are all tied up with our work, returning home late from home and taking rest during weekends etc… Now that we have all the time in the world at home, we are able to watch them grow, play with them, cook with them and even taking nap together.

I have also learnt that Lady Faith have grown up so much so that she volunteered to help her grandma in the kitchen and at the same time wanting to learn how to fix a simple dish. When I saw my mum teaching her the right way to hold a knife and how to cut the potatoes, I felt that she has grown so much! Where have those baby cries and baby talks gone… aaaarrrrgggghhhhh…..

After she was done with the preparation, she made it a point that she should also finished off with the cooking. She stood by grandma’s side and at some point, she took over the cooking while my mum watched at the side. 😊 It was so warmth to see them cooking the dish together.

I would say this is the BEST DISH so far! 😊 Love you darling!

Baking With Love

I am pretty much tied up with baking today as I am planning to send it out to my special pal tomorrow. I am whipping up Ondeh Ondeh Cupcakes for a special birthday girl and I certainly hope to bring some joy and love to her during this CB. Though we are unable to celebrate with her but I am definitely sending some love over. 😊

After my bakes, the kiddos requested some snacks and with the flour that was left on the kitchen top, I decided to make some egg tarts for a change. 😊 well, they ain’t difficult to make and I am happy that I managed to get it done.

The turnout of the egg tarts were great and I was happy that they tasted yummy too. My two daughters loved them so much that they more than one serving… the happiest part about baking is when you see your family and friends enjoying the food that you made. 😊

Happy Mother's Day

Circuit Breaker can be draining when you have to plan what to cook, buy or order for 3 meals daily. Today, we are almost out of ideas and decided to prepare simple western dishes for dinner.

Yearly, we celebrate Mother’s Day with the family but this year due to Covid-19, we were forced to stay home. Well, that did not stop us from celebrating this beautiful day.

With the help of the family, we whipped up quite a good meal. I cooked the pasta, risotto and the grilled salmon, while mum cooked the mushroom soup and the pizza was done by the kiddos. The kiddos had so much fun creating their own pizza with limited ingredients.

Though it was a simple celebration but it was the effort that everyone put in together that made the meal such a delicious and enjoyable one. 😊 What's more, our kiddos made us cards and then they behaved well for the whole day which is the best gift anyone could asked for. ðŸ˜Š

Happy Mother's Day!

Homemade Wantons

Well, its still CB and who wouldn’t get bored cooking at home daily and totally ran out of ideas… today, we decided to make something simple for lunch.

Last night we made wantons for dinner and since there were some leftovers, I decided to prepare them and cooked my own very wantons noodles for luncheon. It is simple, fast and super yummy. I can eat this often as it’s so easy to make and yet tasty. YUMZZZ…

Happy Labour Day!

It’s supposed to Labour Day and I should be resting but the kiddos suggested to make bread as they wanna give it a try to make their own bread.

Well, in order for me to get some rest, I agreed to it and let’s make bread together! I prepared and done up the dough, the kids got down to kneading and rolled the dough and finally put the fillings into the dough. Baby Emma made chocolate chips, Nutella and cheese buns while Lady Faith took on black sesame, Nutella and cheese buns too.

After all are done, it’s time for the oven. It did not take long for the buns to be ready. The kids were excited to see and taste their own buns. I would say that they are really generous bakers as their buns are filled with loads of Nutella and cheese.

I could feel the Nutella filled in my mouth when I took a small bite! Yes… its FULL! I am happy to see happy faces and that totally made my Labour Day all worth it! 😊
