Breakfast At Rise, Marina Bay Sands

Woke up early to prepare baby Faith and headed to Rise for breakfast. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was already a long queue waiting to be seated.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes, we were finally given the best seats in the house… the sofa seat near the huge Christmas tree. Faith was TOO AWAKE and active that she refused to sit still even on her pram.

The buffet spread was fantastic but my stomach is pretty small in the morning and I only managed to try a couple of dishes. Hubby enjoyed the food very much coz’ he is the one who has big stomach for breakfast. He mentioned that the varieties were fantastic and better than most of the hotels we stayed.

After Faith’s morning nap, we brought her up to the Sky Park again for another photo-taking before checking out. The weather was gloomy again and quite windy. We stayed there for a little while and totally enjoyed the view.

Marina Bay Sands… indeed a very nice hotel but somehow the services were not up to standard. Rooms & View, Thumps Up … Service… totally Thumps DOWN!!

Faith Turns 7 Months Old

Another 30 days has passed and Faith celebrates her 7th Months old today. Hubby & I took the Christmas season opportunity to take long leave just to keep our little one company.

We checked ourselves in to Marina Bay Sands in the afternoon and when we arrived at the hotel, it was not as crowded as we expected at the check in area. It was pretty smooth and quick. Hubby’s first impression of the hotel was ‘aiyo… very crowded and headache la… very KL lor!!’ that was what he said and I do agree with him on that comment.

MBS allocated our room to be on the 35th floor and the view given was a cool city view. The room we stayed was pretty big as we were upgraded to Horizon Premier. We put Faith on the bed and she simply loved it… she was curious about the bolster on the bed, the pillows and the blanket! She was rolling all over the area and was very happy with that cozy area.

We settled ourselves for a while and since it was still early for dinner, we brought her up to the ever famous Sky Park on the 57th Floor for some photo taking. It was really crowded and the weather was pretty gloomy. The view up there was really breathtaking and great for photo-taking.

After dinner, we returned to our room to chill with baby Faith. We waited for the baby cot but somehow it never came. I requested to have one in our room upon my reservation and I reminded the concierge to prepare but still it never came… mmmh…. service not up to standard. We asked for ice-cubes to be sent to our room and guess what, they told us that the first three buckets are free and thereafter will be charged. I was really surprised that they charged for ice-cubes.

We were both tired after entertaining our little one till late and finally she fell asleep… I am looking forward to breakfast at Rise tomorrow…

till then… Good Nite…

Faith’s First Boxing Day

Baby Faith received quite a few gifts for her first Christmas and we followed the tradition to open the pressies on Boxing Day; a day after Christmas.

She was really excited about the gifts we placed before her though she was not sure what she was supposed to do and who they were from. She grabbed some of the gifts from the floor and started tearing them... mmh.. with my help, she managed to open all of them...

Thank you Aunties for all your gifts… they were fantastic!

Christmas At The Tan’s

It’s a yearly affair that we celebrate our Christmas at the Tan’s residence. This year, we have an additional member to join the celebration; Baby Faith's first Christmas. We arrived at their cozy place for dinner and thought that we were late but somehow, this year, we were one of the first few to arrive.

When some of my friends arrived, I started my dinner while hubby took care of baby Faith. The food they prepared was fantastic… mostly my favorite… it reminded me of those good old school days when we celebrated Christmas at Theresa’s mum’s place. Those were the food that we ate and usually fought over… hahahahaah

We were very lucky that Faith was able to adapt with Theresa’s parents in law as they helped to take care of her while both of us enjoyed ourselves with the delicious food and drinks… I was having so much fun drinking with friends which I have not done for a long time.

Vivian who is currently in her 2nd trimester came and I was glad that I managed to meet her before the end of this year. She was glowing and looking very healthy. I can’t wait to see her little princess in April. Mmmh… a couple of months more to go…

Thank you Theresa & Zen for having us at your place for this wonderful occasion and thanks for the gifts…

Merry Christmas everyone!
