Birthday At Hard Rock Café

It seems like the government is planning for a lockdown soon as the numbers of infection has increased and just to keep Singapore safe, a lockdown will be needed.

Before getting into the lockdown situation, we thought it will be good to have a family lunch together as to catch up before it really happens. At the same time, we planned to surprise Gen as she will turn 15 tomorrow. We booked a table at Hard Rock Café and when we arrived, it was so empty that it was like we booked the whole place! hahahaahahah…

It is the first visit for some of our family members and they are happy that we chose this restaurant for they may not have chance to dine or perhaps will not pick this restaurant due to location. We browsed through the menu and ordered some dishes to share.

The kiddos were really happy with the food and being able to hang out with cousins are one of their favourite moments. We wished we could do that often but due to kiddos commitments for enrichment classes and other activities, it became a challenge for us parents to arrange them to meet.
When we were about to end our meals, the waiter came over to invite Genevieve to the stage and he got everyone in the house to sing-a-long the birthday song for our birthday girl. Gen was obviously taken by surprise and was shy to be on stage. That was quite a cool moment on stage indeed.

Happy Blessed Birthday Gen and we hope you have enjoyed the birthday lunch! Love ya!

Annual Ballet Exams

After a long 9 months training, she is finally going for her ballet exams today. She was excused from school as the timing for her exam was in between… sighz… anyway, it gave her more time to prepare herself and have a good breakfast before going for her exams.

This year, she is taking the Grade 3 examinations and how time flies!!! I remembered that I first brought her to ballet was when she was only 3 yrs + and now she is going for her Grade 3 exams! Geeezzz…. Where have those times gone… growing too fast…. WAY TO FAST!!!!

Sent her to the examination venue and left her with her teacher as parents are not allowed to wait around. I did some marketing and head home to rest since I was given 2 hours of free time.
Slightly before lunch time, I returned to the examination venue to wait for her and was waiting for her in the waiting room. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the girls returned with a wide smile on their faces. They looked relieved and relax said, “ITS FINALLY OVER”!

We had a photo-taking session with the girls and Ms. Tan and they looked really happy! I am so proud of Lady Faith that she managed to complete her Grade 3 and moving on to Grade 4 next term. Thumps Up Baby Girl for the courage and perseverance coz’ we believed that you will be able to achieve whatever you do in the future.
Brought the ballerina for a good lunch as a reward to her achievement. She requested for ramen and brought her to one of her favourite restaurant Din Tai Fung where she ate like as if I did not feed her for a couple of days! Okay, not that exaggerating… but the food was a little over for a young girl… hahahahaah anyway, as long as she is happy, who cares about the volume right…
Well Done my beautiful Ballerina!

Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs

Due to this Covid-19 pandemic, it somehow makes people to stay home more and with that, I got to think of different dishes for dinner. This time, I decided to try out the Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs with Thermomix.

It was a simple and quick dish to cook with this fantastic machine. It didn’t take me long to get this dish to the dinner table and the aroma of this dish was all over the house when it was done! It definitely smelt so good and as for the taste… we all gave a 4 out of 5 as it was a little salty for our liking. I guess I can reduce the salt the next time and I bet it will taste fantastic!
A rib anyone?

Soft Buns

The last time I made my first bread was the Milk Bread and it was really good. This time, I tried making the soft buns and it turned out soft as expected and very yums!

I put some cheese on the top and some in the buns as fillings but somehow it melted during the baking process so, you can only taste the cheese which was not too cheesy. I put some raisins on a few and it turned out great! Lady Faith wanted more cheese as she mentioned that it wasn’t cheesy enough…. Mmmh…. 😊

I will try to make Nutella filling buns next round… YUMZ…

Happy Blessed Birthday Jessie!

It’s always good to celebrate friend’s birthday and its even more beautiful to be part of the celebration of a lovely buddy whom I know for more than 2 decades. 😊 I am happy that we are still as close even though we are no longer working with each other or seeing one another daily.

I am happy that we planned a birthday lunch for her and though it was a quick and simple lunch, it was a good catch up for everyone and taking some breather from the office too. Hahaahahaha…

We are back at Kith Millenia again (as usual) and it’s the Fabulous Five dinning together and having so much fun as always. Brought the cake from 12 Cupcake but somehow it was disappointing…
Ooopsss… honestly, the cakes are not as yummy as their cupcakes… mmmh….
During this Covid-19 time, we are pretty much cautious about our surroundings and we just wished that everything will be over soon so we can head out for a bigger celebration. For the meantime, we can only do some quick lunches… 😊

Happy Blessed Birthday NEH!!! Cheers to many more years to celebrate together and be in the pink of health!
