Lunch Feast!

Linda kindly invited all us to lunch today at Crystal Jade Suntec as she was feeling happy! Hahahahah…

She left the office slightly earlier to order the dishes so that we will be able to finish our lunch within the hour.
When everyone arrived, the dim sums and other dishes were served almost immediately and in no time, our table were filled with all different types of food.

It was super yummy and we forgot what we had eaten as the food kept on coming and at one point, I was wondering when the waitress will stop bringing food to our table. There were so much food and we came to a point that we noticed that there were still quite an amount of dishes left on the table even after eating so much!

Fortunately, we do have some heroines in the group who are able to contain more food than the rest. We    were happy that we were able to clear all the dishes on the table and packet some dry dim sums back to      office for our colleagues. We wanted desserts but there were no space for even one Koi drink…

Thank you Leng for the sumptuous & Halloween lunch!

Dinner At Wah Lok, Carlton Hotel

Our sales manager invited us to dine at their popular Chinese restaurant, Wah Lok. Once it was really a popular joint for some of our bosses but couple of years back, we had our D&D at Carlton and the food tasted horrible. We came to know that it was from Wah Lok… we made a strong complain on the food and their services.

Two years ago, the restaurant went on a major renovation and came back with a loud bang… the food was fantastic and our bosses are using this place for their entertainment. Fantastic! I simply love the dim sum there and it’s totally worth for a great meal.

Tonight, we will try out their dinner…. Bonnie, our wonderful sales manager ordered their signature dishes so that we can have a taste of their new menu. I would say that the dishes that she ordered were pretty good but we were quite disappointed that their famous roast pork was not available.

My personal favorites would be the octopus tentacles,  asparagus with XO sauce and lap mei fun’s burnt grains with added soup…. That was simply amazing and delicious! Total Thumps UP!

Thank you Bonnie for the sumptuous dinner!

BBQ Party At GM’s House

Our generous and warm Yasuno GM requested for a BBQ party at his place and inviting all staff including their family members. Though there were some issues during the planning but everything turned out well after all.

The attendance for this gathering did not turn out to be fantastic but there were quite a number. Our bosses planned to have 3 sessions for different groups to avoid getting too overcrowded in the house. We were the privileged ones to be assigned the evening slot. It was the best slot as that’s the usual time BBQ party starts and no rush to be home…

The food catered was great and I brought some homemade cupcakes for the kiddos as there were so many of them while Linda bought roasted duck as it a must-have for dinner she said. hahahaahahaha
The kiddos were also having loads of fun playing games on the X-box and some of us were dancing along. Guess everyone having a great time even Faith was running around the house with Karianne blowing bubbles and petting the dogs that was brought by some of the bosses.

It was quite a fun and enjoyable party; especially when you felt easy and comfortable with your wonderful colleagues. Yippy!

Food Inspection At Orchard Lei Garden

This is one of the well-liked and often used Chinese restaurants by our Japanese bosses but in recent years, it seemed to be less mentioned.

We are expecting a VIP guest who will be visiting us next week and being careful, my boss, Yatomi-san requested us to check out the dishes before bringing his guest to this restaurant. When we arrived, it not crowded as I have expected and we were led to a quiet corner which Yoyo has requested during her reservation.

We ordered their dim sums and boss mentioned that the food wasn’t as tasty compared to Wah Lok. I totally agreed. I would say that the standard has dropped so much from the previous time I tasted like 10 years ago. I guess that was the reason why the Japanese bosses has turned away from Lei Garden and seek better restaurants like Wah Lok, Yan Ting etc…

Little Faith At Work

This is one of those weekends when I was tied up with some household chores and managed to get Faith to sit quietly to finish some worksheets…

She was really happy and excited when I told her that I have some work for her to do and she gladly picked up her colour pencils and water bottle at the dining table. She also asked where should she start and till which page should she finished… that was quite interesting and I do hope she will be as interested when she enters Primary school…

Thumps Up baby girl!

Visit To River Safari

This is the latest attraction in Singapore and since hubby & I took leave to hang out with our little one.

We set off early to avoid the crowd but to our surprise, it was so OVERCROWDED when we arrived! It was flooded with tourists and Singaporean too but it did not take us long to get the tickets.
This is a total new attraction and we do not know what to expect and went along. I was really happy to know that the whole place is sheltered. The weather was pretty good though the sun was not too friendly. There were many interesting species which we did not find in the Zoo next door.

One of the main attractions was the two Foreign Talents that brought many tourists and Singaporean here… The PANDAS… they were indeed super cute but one of them seemed to be quite shy and reserved while the other one was actually sleeping soundly when we entered the Panda area.
Right after the panda viewing, there was a panda café and we decided to dine since it was almost lunch. Bought the set meal though it wasn’t that cheap but guess that was the only café which was available.

After our luncheon, we continued our journey but unfortunately, the river rides was not ready.

Our outing ended in about 3 hours and it was really hot and tiring though we were sheltered. The timing was just right for our little one’s nap. This is one pretty good attraction for both young and old and we will be back again for the river ride when it opens perhaps in December.
