Faith is 10 Months

Seeing her grow each day is such a joy and somehow I missed those days when she was just a baby in my arms… so soft and quiet…. Hahahaah…

Faith is 10 months and started to crawl all over the house and holding on to stuff that she sees around her. We know that she is curious about things around her but somehow it can be very tiring to follow her everywhere she crawls.

Happy 10 months sweetheart…

Faith’s Dinner With God-Ma

I mentioned before in my previous post that I will be back to Watami right… here we are today! We invited Faith’s God-Ma Susan to dine with us and it’s a good time to let her bond with Faith as they don’t meet one another often.

As hubby & I been there before, we already knew which set dinner we should order for table of 4 adults. It was one good choice indeed as the set was really reasonable. The variety was almost the same but we really enjoyed the food very much.

Susan, as a first timer, she too loved the food there too. We ordered additional bowl of salmon rice as the rice from the set may not be enough for all. I personally love the sweet corn with potato very much (yes, I believed I have mentioned that in my previous post.)

Our dear child can’t really sit on her baby chair for long and we have to find means and ways to entertain her so that she will not get cranky… anyway, I thought it was a great dinner session with Susan as the two manage to have some ‘bonding’ time together.

Let’s do it again ya…

Happy Birthday Angie Darling

Today is my darling Angela’s birthday and we went to Hippopotamus for lunch as a humble celebration for her.

Hippopotamus is a new restaurant at Marina Square and heard from Agnes that they served pretty good ribs and steak but service was not as good. Despite the review, we went ahead anyway.

We were served chips as an appetizer which was quite different from others. It made you feel like you are in a pub rather than a restaurant. After placing our orders, we waited quite a long time for our main course to be served though our appetizers like spring rolls were served quickly.

We waited about 20 minutes for our main course to be served and that was a total waste of our time coz’ our lunch break is only a pathetic one hour. We ate so quickly once the food arrived and though it tasted good but somehow I did not have the time to enjoy it.

I ordered beef steak and it was really good. I really recommend you to try it but you got to do it for dinner or during your day off. The food serving was really long even-though we complaint about it. My colleagues loved their food as theirs too tasted delicious. It was really a pity not been able to have more time to enjoy it.

We rushed back to office once we were done with our main course… leaving behind darling as she took half day to celebrate her special day. When she returned to office, we did the cake cutting ceremony (as usual) in a meeting room. We told her to take the cake home with her since she will be celebrating it with her family.

Happy Birthday Darling.

Baby Shower For Vivian & Jason

I remembered clearly that Theresa kindly arranged a baby shower for us to welcome our child Faith.

Time passed so fast and this year, I attended the same sort of party but this time, it’s for our close buddy Vivian who is scheduled to deliver her little princess in April. We were overjoyed to hear the news when she first announced to us and all were excited about it.

She is almost at her finishing line and Bird kindly opened her house for the special event. We brought food over and man… I simply enjoyed the food my friends prepared. Back in those school days, who would have thought that they are good cooks! Thumps Up pals!

As usual, we have lots of rubbish to talk about and we were also entertained with the funny movie ‘Kung Fu’ which Gordon loved so much. hahahaahahah

Thank you Bird & Kenneth for the party and wishing Vivian a smooth and safe delivery! God bless you all. (sorry… pictures for the couple are not in my camera…too busy eating…!)

Birthday Celebration For Jessie

We celebrated our buddy Jessie’s birthday at Soup Restaurant today and since it’s lunch, we tried our very best NOT to over order…

I thought we did pretty well. We ordered their signature dishes like samsui chicken, stir fried French beans with minced meat, sweet & sour pork, toufu, sambal kangkong and their monthly special preserved vegetables with pork belly.

It was really yummy as usual but we wished we could have more time at Soup Restaurant.

In the afternoon around tea time, we prepared a birthday cake for her. We summoned her into the meeting room when all arrangements are done. Though it was a small ceremony but everyone was happy.

In the evening, we met Kang Kang for dinner and she brought us to this cozy, casual Japanese restaurant Watami at Raffles City.

It was our first time there and the menu seemed to be very interesting. We ordered the set menu and we could choose the dishes we desired. Everything looked so good on the menu and we being greedy wanted to try all of them but of course, we didn’t.

The food was indeed good, especially the shabu shabu. Though it was simple but it tasted very good. I enjoyed the hot plate butter corn with potato… THUMPS UP!!!!

Kangz, this is one fantastic recommendation and will be back again for sure….

Happy Birthday my dearest buddy Jessie! Hope you enjoyed your special day! *muaks*
