Hubby’s Special Day

It is hubby’s birthday and we took leave to have a super short getaway together. I booked massage for both of us at Batam and at least spend some quality time together before heading back to have dinner with the family.

The driver from Spa Central was on time when we arrived at Batam Ferry Terminal and headed to the spa at once. When we arrived, we had our treatment done almost immediately. Hubby took the 1 ½ hour massage and body scrub while I had the 1 hour massage and an another hour of cream bath which I had always needed. My cream bath was fantastic as it was relaxing and my hair turned out to be super smooth and CLEAN!

After the treatment, we asked the driver to send us back to the ferry terminal where we had our lunch and did a little shopping before taking the early ferry back. Hubby had a great time and I am happy to have made his birthday a special one.
We headed home for dinner and had the traditional cake cutting ceremony with the kiddos. We were happy that everything went well and this would be one day that he will remember. J

Happy blessed birthday B and May the Lord continue to protect and watch over you always. We love you!

Happy Blessed Birthday Mummy!

Today is my mum’s BIG day and we came home early to have a simple celebration with her on her actual day and the kids were behaving well as they tried not to provoke grandma on her big day.
We wanted to bring her out for dinner but our birthday girl prefers to dine home instead.

We bought her favourite food for dinner and had a simple cake cutting ceremony with her cutie pies singing the birthday song to her which was the highlight of the celebration. We could see that she was filled with joy and happiness.
We thank God for her and I would like to wish my mum a BLESSED BIRTHDAY and may the Good Lord continue to bless you with good health! We love you!

July Babies Celebration

This is truly a month of birthday celebrations and here are we again for another wonderful family party and hubby decided to book Chao San Cuisine which he has always wanted us to try.

Surprisingly it was quite crowded when we arrived on a Sunday evening which we thought it might not be busy. With the crowd continued to flow in, we believed that this restaurant must be serving up good food.

Indeed, their dishes did not disappoint at all. We were enjoying digging into their delicious braised goose and it was awesome! Their cold crab was juicy and sweet while their cold platter was really good and different from the Cantonese style. Thumps up!

The rest of the dishes that we ordered were the yam strips which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside… YUMMY! Mmmh… I too enjoyed their hokkien mee which usually not my favourite but it was really tasty in my opinion.
It was a great and simple celebration where good food makes good celebration! Happy Blessed Birthday Pa, Mummy & Hubby who shares the same birthday month. J

KOOZA

KOOZA by Cirque du Soleil is back to Singapore and I am filled with excitement when I saw the advertisement on news and FB. I thought this would be a great time to spend some quality time with our Lady Faith for she is a fan of circus too.

Booked the tickets for the show on a Saturday afternoon as it might be less crowded compared to the evening shows. We were happy to be there earlier than the show and managed to get some snacks and drinks for the show. Our seats were pretty good and our view was unblocked… Perfecto!

The show started with a bang and we were thrilled throughout the first part of the show where it was pretty much breathtaking… the stunts were dangerous in my opinion and there were many times my heart somehow stopped for it was too hard to watch… super dangerous stunts!

For the second part of the show, it was milder but was equally entertaining. It was so good that the time passed so quickly and we were happy that our Lady Faith had a blast! Well, who wouldn’t enjoy the shows by Cirque du Soleil right… it’s one of the BEST!

Well Done Lady Faith!

Our Lady Faith received her merit silver award for her ballet exams today and she was really excited to share the news with us while we were waiting outside her classroom.

The first thing she said when she saw me was, “mummy, look, I received my certificate and silver medal for my ballet exam, are you happy that I got silver instead of gold?” I was actually happy even though there were no medals or certificate coz’ I am proud of her for going through the 6 months training where she actually scarified her bonding time with her cousins & grandparents on Sunday evenings.
It was the effort that I am proud of and that is considered achieving GOLD medal. I did asked her if she would like to continue with the exam next year and she replied me with an immediate firm reply that she would like to take it again and try to get a Gold medal. J

Thumps up Gal! Love you to bits….

BIG 50 Birthday Bash

I am very happy for my bestie in the office who turns BIG 50 today! As everyone says, age is just a number and you will feel young if you WANT TO BE YOUNG! It does not matter if you are 50, 60 or even 80 but as long as you’re living a healthy and active lifestyle, you will feel 25 always!

My bestie Linda doesn’t look a bit of 50 at all for she is treating herself well by keeping her body active and tried hard to be happier. J

Today, she is celebrating her 50th Birthday and we headed down to Bistro 1855 which is located at Suntec City, just a across where our office is situated. J We have been to this place for lunch as they served pretty good salad during lunch hours but our friend, Linda has been here many times for drinks after office hours and she wanted to have her birthday bash done here. J
It was really nice in the evening though it was quite crowded on a Friday evening. The staffs at Bistro 1855 were really warmed and friendly. They recommended some wines for us and of course with the help of Uncle Sam who knows the staff at the wine store got us pretty good deals. :0) thumps up!

While waiting for the whole gang to arrive, we ordered some dishes to start and it was really great to catch up with friends during such occasions. Though there were no ‘live’ performance or dancing area but we had a great time hanging out with friends and enjoying the good food.
This 50th Birthday Bash concluded with a classy birthday cake cutting ceremony and of course, there were some cracking of jokes and funny moments here & there. We were glad that we went home sober and there is no damages done at the venue… haahahahahah
Happy Blessed Birthday Leng and may you HUAT all the way!

Racial Harmony Day

Both our kiddos will be celebrating the Racial Harmony Day at school today and they are very happy to be wearing their home clothes instead of uniform for school.

Lady Faith & Emma were excited about the celebration and happy to put on their cheong sam which they carefully chosen last night. I was really shocked to see how fast Lady Faith has grown as it’s merely 5 months and the cheong sam she wore during CNY early this year has gone shorter!
As for Emma, she did not know what ‘Racial Harmony Day’ is all about, but very happy to put on home clothes and excited about having party at school. Told her that she will be celebrating different cultures and religion today for this special occasion and she just replied… “we got party at school”!!

Anyway, I do hope that they will grow to know the culture for each race and learn to respect them. J

Mother-In-Law’s BD Celebration

It’s the time of the year and the most birthdays celebrated month of the year. July is the month of celebration for us in the family and also for friends whom are closed at heart.

For the first party up will be for my mother-in-law whose birthday falls on the 2nd week of July and this marks the beginning of the July Babies celebrations!

This year, we booked Sin Hoi San for our dinner as we would like to come back after many years. I remembered that we used to come here for many other occasions and we stopped for many years as their price went up and the food quality dropped big time.

We decided to be back after I tested it out with my friends a couple of months ago and the food was not too bad and price was quite reasonable depending what you ordered. Simple dishes like that signature claypot liver, seafood crispy noodles, hot plate black pepper beef were some of our favourite dishes.

Overall the night was great as it’s the companion that counts. Mother
in law was happy to have the whole family gathered together to have a simple celebration and the grandkids singing birthday song to her and wishing her well.

Happy blessed birthday ma!

Bonding With God-Mas At USS

It’s Youth Day and it’s a non-school day, we decided to date god-mas to USS for a day of fun and at the same time they are able to bond… J

USS is heaven for all ages, be it the thrill or the mild rides, they had it all. To me, I am the milder type which does not want to risk my life for rides that will leave your stomach behind after the ride. On the contra, the people I am going to USS with are thrill seekers!!! Sighz…

We met for breakfast at McDonald’s as the food are pretty much costly in USS and we would like the kids to charge up their energy for the rides they are about to take on. It came no surprise to us that the park will be crowded as it’s a school holiday!
We headed to the Dragon ride when we entered the park and yes, I was the bag watcher… happy to know that they are enjoying themselves. Lady Faith was requesting me to take the Puss In Boots with her as she mentioned that it’s her favourite ride and after some consideration, I took on the ride.

How I regretted to be on that ride!!! First of all, I am afraid of heights and this ride went way too high for my standard and it was a roller coaster!!! Okay… though it was a mild ones where kids at tender age of 7 or even 4 are queuing to ride. I was screaming when our cart went up higher and I almost freaked out when I realized that it was a roller coaster!!! OMG indeed but there was nothing I can do about it and it’s too late to regret!

After the ride, my legs were jelly and vowed that I will never take the ride again! We continued our journey to other rides and this time, I left them to venture their thrills while I enjoyed myself as a role for bags watching. J

By evening, we were all shacked out and I brought Lady Faith home while my niece Gen continued the fun with Linda & her niece & nephew while God-ma Sue left to elsewhere. J It was a fantastic day out with all these people and it’s a day where we became kids again!
