Happy Halloween

Though we don’t celebrate Halloween like other countries but I thought it would be nice to share some cute muffins with the kids at little pumpkin’s school.
Little pumpkin was so excited when she saw the muffins and she told the teachers that they are for her friends and some teachers as they may not be enough for all… haahahahahaah

Happy Halloween!

Total Beauty Workshop

I am so proud of my buddy Rie who is a fantastic and creative make up artiste. I am so glad that I am part of this workshop and I am so excited for you for the effort you have put in.

Rie came up with this Total Beauty Workshop and posted on FB for all to join. Though it was a small-scale workshop but it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDD!!!!
Arrived at the event early to help out as I am honored to be her assistance for the day and was surprised that it was such a professional set up for all the participants. There was makeup on trays and well equipped make up stuff that you will need like toner, cleanser, moisturizers etc.…
As it was pouring outside but glad to start slightly late as we wanted to wait for all to be seated. The workshop started with introduction and then went straight to knowing yourself. Well, it was really interactive as the participants were involved during the workshop by having to partner the lady beside you to do measurements for each other.

We took a short break before moving on to part 2 of the session. For break, I prepared chocolate muffins and ondeh ondeh cupcakes for everyone and I am excited to share my bakes with them. I am also happy to receive good feedbacks on the desserts and that really made my day too.
After a short coffee break, Rie moved on to the makeup demonstration and we gathered all the participants to sit around to watch the demo. Everyone was really engrossed to the demo and we were glad to see that everyone was really attentive and learning skills from the demo.
The hands-on session was the best of all as we saw all participants were very interested in their own make ups and trying to apply what they had learnt. See the participants having so much fun really gave us a sense of accomplishments and I am sure we will do even better in future.

Our last session was by Mariko who is a certified social etiquette speaker. She is vey knowledgeable about all the Dos and Don’ts of Social Etiquette. I am really happy to learn so much from her though it was a very short segment. I do hope to hear from her perhaps in our next workshop.

So, if you have not joined this workshop or missed the date, do look out for our next workshop in 2020!

Homemade Wanton Noodles

It was a spur of a moment that I bought some minced meat and water chestnuts from the supermarket and informed mum that we will have wanton noodles for dinner tonight. She gave the green light and we prepared the ingridents together.

After all ingredients are ready, we sat down and prepared the dumplings. When Lady Faith returned from school, she told us to keep some for her so that she can make some dumplings for herself.

Once the dumplings were all ready, I thought it will be nice to give it a try since I had brunch earlier. Cooked some wantons and made the dry noodles with compliment them. I love my noodles QQ and just with soya sauce, garlic, cut chili padi, sesame oil and of course the shallots…
Both mum & I enjoyed our wanton noodles as our luncheons. Yumzz….

Dinner With Buddies

It’s been more than a decade since we last sat together for a meal. I am happy that this dinner worked out.

After visitation by Viola to my place, we wanted to plan a dinner date with some of the missing friends… hahaahah… managed to grab Vivan and Theresa to join the dinner gathering at Jamie’s located at Forum Gallery. I personally enjoyed the food served there rather than the branch at Vivo City.

We ordered some dishes to share and we enjoyed wine too. It felt like school days when we met up for a meal and chatted the night away. However, this time, the topics are not about school work, boyfriends, crushes but about work, kids etc…

After our delicious dinner, we headed down to Mezza9 located at Grand Hyatt to have our second round – desserts. As Viola is a member and she will get discounts whenever she dines at the hotel. We browsed through the menu and ordered our coffees and desserts to share. I got to say that the desserts were pretty interesting and tasted great too!
I am surprised that I am out with the girls till late as it was such an enjoyable gathering and loads to catch up. I am truly blessed with these beautiful people in my life and I trust that our friendship will continue to flourish and let’s meet up soon again!

Happy Children’s Day

It’s Children’s Day and no school for all primary school kids. Lady Faith woke up early and joined me for breakfast to celebrate Children’s Day.

Brought her to Starbucks to have her favourite chocolate croissant and hot chocolate. Simple things like this will make her happy and it’s all worth it. At times, I do appreciate all these holidays from school which allows me to have more OUR time together.
Happy Children’s Day sweetheart and I love you to bits.

Happy Children’s Day

Little Pumpkin’s school is having a children’s day party and parents are asked to chip in some goodies to share with the kiddos.

As the party program was kept as a secret to the children and little pumpkin only requested me to bake some chocolate cupcakes for her friends and teachers. I was happy that she knows how to share and spread joy to people around her.
Yes, I am happy to bake for her friends and teachers! I do hope the kids had fun at the party specially arranged for them and hope they enjoy my cupcakes too.

Happy Children’s Day kiddos!

An Old Friend Came To Visit

Honestly, I am so glad that my mum put in to a convent school where friendships are made and many last forever. I got to agree that I have many close friends but some of those are no longer in Singapore as they are either married overseas or due to work requirements.

Till date, I am proud to say that I do have more than a handful very close or perhaps best buddies whom I am connected closely with. I always believe that friends might be your family members in your past life and they are back again to be around you.

This friend of mine, Viola, whom I knew since secondary one has always been a great friend. Though we may not be very close after our secondary school but we never fail to keep in touch and check on each other once in a blue moon.

Today, I am honored and happy to have her visit my place after many years of silence and she came specially to visit my mum. I remembered that we used to be very close during our school days that I will bunk at her house and chat the night away on Saturday night. We used to hang out very often especially on weekends, be it movies or meals, we are likely together.
It will be her first time meeting my little pumpkin as she missed her full month party due to her own ROM. Though we were unable to attend each other’s occasion, we were happy and wished each other well.
She has not changed a bit, still the same old Viola I knew from school. Very straight, simple and always very realistic about things in life. I am very happy that I have a very knowledgeable friend whom I can count on for things I can’t explain… .hahaahahahah…

Thank you, Viola for dropping by and we are very happy to see you… especially my mum. 😊
