Faith’s Art Piece

Faith enjoying drawing recently and somehow I noticed that she has been coming up with many different ‘paintings’ as what she called it. She seemed to enjoy drawing family, friends and some flowers designs.

Every time after she finished a painting, she will come over and explained what she has drawn and asked us to comment so that she can improve for her next drawing. I was really happy that she has picked up this wonderful hobby instead of watching YouTube on iPad.

She even requested to join Art Class in school as her enrichment class when the teacher announced to them that there will be Art lessons next year. She was really excited and told us that she is really interested. With that commitment, I am happy to sign her up. J

BBQ Birthday Party

Our dearest Mummy Florence will be celebrating her birthday soon and we decided to plan a party for her at Angela’s place. She was really kind enough to prepare all the BBQ food and drinks for the party while I only need to bring the cake.

When we arrived at the party, Uncle George already started cooking some food and some familiar faces (colleagues from Metal One) were there too with their family. Faith wanted to take a dip but her daddy was worried as we did not prepare the float for her. Mummy Flo kindly asked one of the ladies from M-One to borrow her float since her kiddos are done with the swim. J

Florence was really surprised when we started the party with the cake cutting ceremony. She did not realized that this party is for her and she was really happy that we had planned this BBQ. Though she was not able to carry her God-grand-daughter Emma but she was really happy that we spent this wonderful time with her. J
While Faith was enjoying her swim, I was enjoying my food with Emi in my arms… she refused to allow anyone to carry her or get near her… (Yes… How UNFRIENDLY!) so, I had to hang out with her throughout the party.
Happy blessed birthday in advance Mummy Flo!! May God bless you always!

The Coastal Settlement

I have heard about the place and it was visited by many of my friends. My close friend who loves to check out new cafés and restaurants recommended us to check it out.

Since hubby was not working today and we thought it will be nice to head out on a Saturday afternoon, we decided to go check out this restaurant located near Changi Village. It was about 15 minutes’ drive from my place and it wasn’t difficult to spot.

The restaurant is really retro with many antiques decorated around the restaurant. From old vintage cars to old cupboards, sewing machines, cups, chairs etc.… it was really interesting and quite a cozy place to hang out with friends over coffee on a lazy Saturday or Sunday.
We browsed through their brunch menu as they served brunch till 4pm. We ordered pizza and pasta to share since we thought we should go light. The food was not too bad but I trust that I have tasted better. Hubby did not like the pasta for it was little spicy for Faith so, we ordered the fish & chips for Faith and my mum to share. It was alright but mum commented that it used too much flour for the fish.

Overall the experience was pleasant and we might return to try out their normal menu perhaps over dinner. J

Happy 10th Months Emma

Our baby girl is growing too fast! I remembered holding her in my arms and she was so tiny then. Now, she is already trying to stand and started to be curious with the surroundings.
We wish you good health and we love you very much!

NTUC Amazing Race

When our office Union Secretary sent out the information about this race, it definitely caught my attention but did not really get down to think about it until my colleague mentioned about it after a week or so. Jessica mentioned that she will be taking part with Jennifer and asked if I am interested to join them since they are in need of members to form the team.

It got me very excited and told them that I would like to join and will pull in another 2 potential members. From there, we got ourselves registered and ready to race!

This early morning, I was really excited and got myself prepared for the race. We gathered at Orchid Country Club and our leader Jessica collected our goody bags which actually weighted a tons!!

After the introduction and games rules, we set off happily. We weren’t there to race to be first but just for the fun of racing… we raced with no stress but with a light hearted mentality. We planned our route around the island and our first stop was to a building that was totally unknown to us… we went along with it and found it eventually. There was a challenge at every station and upon completing the task; we are off to the next.

On our bingo cards, there were 3 compulsory stations. One of which was the First Station, followed by the Lunch Station and the Home Station. We were served McDonalds’ as our lunch though I wasn’t a big fan of it, we just had to eat whatever it was given.
Besides completing the tasks, there were some questions to be answered too and it will add up to the points that we collected and together with time spent on the race to know our placing. We did most of the tasks well and though we did not come in top 10 but we sure enjoyed ourselves to the max.
It was quite a fun and exciting race I would say and perhaps I will join this race again!
