Family Dinner Gathering With Bossy

Boss was happy to host family dinner at his favourite hangout Sque today. It was really sweet of him to have our family members included for this happy gathering.

When we arrived, Linda & Bossy was already busy chatting away with wine and we ordered several dishes when the rest arrived. It was really happy to meet up for a casual gathering on a Saturday evening when everyone was relaxed.

Boss ordered wine as usual while he left the food ordering to us. As we have children in our group, we ordered many children friendly dishes like the snacks and pastas which were good for everyone to enjoy.

When baby Emma wakes up from her beauty sleep, we introduced her to my boss for the very first time. She was alright for a little while and she turned cranky after being carried by God-grandma Florence and Steve (Yo’s hubby).
The children were entertained by bubbles and Steve also tried to entertain them by playing cards with the kiddos while the rest of us continued our food and wine.

It was indeed a great evening spent with friends and boss! Thank you boss for the wonderful dinner gathering and let’s do it again yea!

Rare Brunch With Hubby

It’s almost impossible to have brunch or even lunch with hubby on a weekday but we managed to do it today.

Hubby went for his annual check-up and given this golden opportunity, we decided to do brunch before heading home. Hubby has never been to Wild Honey but heard so much about it as I am quite a fan of that place.

We went to Wild Honey at Scotts without any reservations but managed to get a quiet seat thanks to the considerate patrons who ate quickly and left…. Hahahaahahah anyway, we ordered our lattes and of course my favourite European breakfast while hubby took the salmon fish.
It was his first time and he did not know what to expect but was willing to try out their food though not breakfast. He mentioned that the food was pretty alright but kind of pricy… Yes, I agreed to his sentiments but I simply love the poached eggs!!! OOpsss… guess I can only visit this place with my friends only… hahaahahaha

Happy 6th Birthday Zoe

Time passed so fast that our little niece Zoe turned SIX! I remembered carrying her in my arms during her full month party and now she has turned into a little lady.

We were invited to join the birthday celebration at my cousin’s cosy home and dinner was prepared by cousin-in-law. It was a simple meals but it was great as we enjoyed it with good conversation.

Faith was enjoyed playing with her cousin whom she doesn’t get to see often but they just love one another. As for baby Emma, she was all shy and my cousins had great time playing with her too.

Happy birthday Zoe and may the Good Lord bless you always!!

Emma's First Solid Food Experience

Baby Emma is already 8 months old and my mum has decided to start her on solid food though there is no sign of teeth yet… mum prepared the porridge and had it blended till it was smooth enough for her consumption.

She was curious of course for the first time as she did not expect to be seated instead of lying in my arms for her milk. Emma starred at my mum for a moment when she showed her the bowl of porridge and not sure what was in it. My mum started to feed her on a small spoonful but somehow Emma was not sure how to swallow her food and messed up her mouth…
It was quite a cute sight but it did not take her long to learn to accept the porridge. She would stick out her tongue after each spoonful of porridge and patiently waited for the next. It took my mum quite a while to feed her.

We were happy to see her smile after she finished the whole bowl of porridge. She seemed very satisfied…

SG50 National Day 2015 - The Golden Jubilee

This is one special year for our country as we celebrate 50th Years of Independence. I am very sure that all Singaporean are feeling emotional as we celebrate this event. This would be the first year that the country is celebrating this happy occasion without our founding Father LKY and we all wished that he could join us…

As we arrived at Marina Barrage this early evening, the field deck is already fully taken and there were many families placed their mats near the walk way just to be able to catch a glimpse of the air show and fireworks.

We decided to take our place on the ground level in front of the big screen as we planned to head out to view the fireworks later. This would be the first time that our family gathered together to watch the parade together in an open area. We brought with us mats, drinks, food and snacks to keep us full and hydrated. We brought some games for the kiddos to keep them tame and busy too.
To our surprise, we did not need to bring out the toys we brought as there was a sort of carnival going on at the event venue. There were stalls selling food, drinks, gadgets, snacks and even some small scale rides and games for the kids.

As for our little Emma, she was very much entertained by the little pink ball that Maggie brought along for her daughter but ended up in little Emi’s hand. I was really happy that she sat quietly and played with the little pink ball for more than 2 hours while we watched the parade.
The atmosphere was really fantastic especially when our national flag flew pass and everyone got up on their feet to sing the National Anthem together. I really felt so united and for once… so Singaporean!!! Right after the Anthem, the air show began with a bang… I was filled with awe when I saw the wonderful performance by the ‘Dark Knights’. Totally thumps up indeed!
When the parade is almost coming to an end, we packed up and left for a place where we could have a better view of the fireworks. As we walked towards our cars, we found an open space where the view was pretty good and best of all, it wasn’t crowded!
Enjoying the beautifully display of the fireworks with my family was priceless! Happy Birthday Singapore!

Air Performance Practice By The Singapore Air Force

As we planned to have a picnic with the family at Marina Barrage and we wanted to check out the location today.

While we were travelling to Marina Barrage, we were caught in a heavy traffic along the way and we decided to stop at a spot where we can have a clear view of the air performance by our very own Air Force.
Though it was a short practice session but it was kind of fascinating to watch. I can’t wait to see the whole performance tomorrow! Woohoo!!!

Jubilee Weekend

Our government declared a public holiday on 7th August marks the beginning of our SG50 Jubilee weekends for many. This is one of the longest public holidays we experienced in conjunction with our National Day.

We began this wonderful Friday heading out with the kiddos for a walk downtown and getting ourselves in the mood of National Day which will falls on Sunday. Managed to catch the fighter jets performing their stunts in the air and it was simply fantastic though our view weren’t that clear for we were not prepared for that.
In the evening after dinner, we brought the kids to Uncle Rino Theme Park which was set up at Marina Bay Sands area. The rides were like those good old childhood days our parents brought us to. They include the small-scale ferry wheels, train rides, ticam ticam stalls, etc…

Faith simply enjoyed herself to the max as she was hoping from one rides to another till my theme park cash cards ran out of cash! It was great to see her enjoying herself though little Emma only get to watch for she is too young for such rides.
I would say that this small scale theme park is certainly making loads of money as they charged by per rides which were pretty costly for a simple ride. I guess I would prefer the kiddos to Universal Studio instead. J

Boss’ Birthday

I remembered we were busy preparing for the surprise birthday party for our boss last year and here we are again celebrating his birthday today!

We brought him out to one of his favourite joint – Hai Di Lao. Though it was a simple lunch date but he was certainly happy that we remembered his big day and celebrated it with him.
As lunch ended early and he invited us to continue dessert at his cozy apartment where we had a closed door cake cutting ceremony for him and enjoyed some wine. J

Happy Blessed Birthday Boss!!!

First Meeting For Boss & Mummy Flo

My boss heard so much about mummy Florence and asked me to invite her to our dinner gatherings and today is the day!

We went to Golden Spoon for our feast as boss was more confident about the dishes there and trust that it will be a better choice for their ‘first date’… well, indeed it was.

They heat up pretty fast and began chatting almost the whole evening while the rest of us were enjoying our food served. We ordered the usual dishes like the platter, bamboo clams, salted egg yolk crab, garlic fried rice etc… Boss was really happy that mummy enjoyed the food as much as we did and glad that it went well.

As their ages are pretty close, it’s no wonder that they have no issues on communication. They simply talked about anything and everything under that cozy roof while we enjoyed listening to their talks.

We always return to this restaurant as we really enjoyed the food, services and of course the reasonable priced dishes. J

Cayden Turns Three

I am happy to receive the invitation to attend the birthday party of Cayden’s and at the same time, being hired to bake muffins for the party too. I would say that I am pretty honored to be one of the ‘caterers’ for the party too.

The party venue was pretty far from where we lived but it was alright as there is no place too far in Singapore. J When we arrived at the venue, we were welcomed by the cute decoration in the party room and Faith was almost immediately greeted by the birthday boy with a goody bag.

The whole party room was decorated with Thomas & Friends theme and even the lovely birthday cake. Simply love the decors though it was simple but really cute for a birthday party… even Faith loved it!

We sat around and entertained ourselves as usual and were great to interact with Sam’s family members too. We enjoyed the food while the kiddos were busy playing balloons and hanging out…

Love to attend children’s party as it’s the best time for our kids to interact with other children apart from their own cousins.

Happy blessed birthday Cayden! May God bless you always!
