Lady Faith Turns EIGHT!

OMG!!! Seriously!!! I can’t believe that my little sweetie cutie pie is already EIGHT years old! Time is really merciless and flew pass so fast! I will always remember the moment when we welcomed her to the world for the first time, she opened her eyes and stretching her arms like as if she was trying to tell us that Í am Finally OUT’.

Last week, we had a birthday bash for her with her friends, a surprised one at Bintan and today, we ended it off with a family dinner at our favourite Italian Restaurant Pietro. We loved the food as it was tasty and reasonable priced. The portion is just nice for us and the place is cozy and warmth.

The staff knows us pretty well as we are regulars and they too joined us in singing the birthday song for our Lady Faith and presenting her with her favourite chocolate lava cake as desserts. She was simply over the moon with 3 celebrations this year and she is already planning for her birthday celebration next year!!! Geeezzzz… hope they can stop growing this fast…

Happy Blessed Birthday our sweetheart, you made us smile the moment we know we had you. When you came to this world, you brought us not only joy but loads of happiness in our life. May you continue to grow in love and be blessed with good health always. We love you very much!

Pool Day

No one will get bored when you have the pool in your own backyard! Woke up after a restful night and headed out for breakfast. The breakfast served at the resort was pretty much simple and the spread wasn’t as much as those you get at Bintan Lagoon or others.

Weather was pretty good today and the kids hurried us back to our villa so that they can start swimming. Since we’re gonna be in the pool practically the whole day, we rented the super HUGE unicorn float! The girls loved it so much that they can’t take their eyes off it.
When it arrived to our room, we thought it was too big for the pool but that was the only one left and the kids simply went mad when the unicorn was in the pool. They took turns to be on the float and yes, they fought to be on it! Emma was too small to be on it as the unicorn overturned the moment she climbed on it… Lady Faith had a better grip and managed to climb on it on her own.

With our help, Emma managed to sit on the float for quite a while but she wouldn’t dare to move a bit after she fell off twice. She was happy enough to swim around the float instead and played catch with us.

Being in the pool for a long time can get you really tired and after a great afternoon nap, we decided to head out to the mall but somehow the weather was not on our side. It started to pour heavily and sadly, we decided to have our dinner back at the restaurant again.

When evening came and we saw the change of weather but since we have decided to stay in, we went ahead with our plans. It did not disappoint this time, it was BBQ dinner and the spread were pretty awesome. There were many different types of BBQ seafood, meat and even Mongolian style stir fried vegetables station. We were pretty happy with the spread but the desserts counter was pretty much boring and disappointing…

When we got back to our villa, we received a pleasant surprise that the hotel staff prepared a cake for our Lady Faith. We got ourselves settled down and had a small birthday celebration for her. Little Emma was so happy for her sister and went over to give her a big hug and kiss. It was really sweet to see such loving siblings and we hope it stays that way…

We love you both to bits…

Bintan Island… Here We Go Again!

We headed off to Bintan this afternoon after returning from Lady Faith’s school for her 1st SA results and meet the teacher session. Well, we were pretty happy with her results and we do hope that she will continue to work hard for her final exams later this year.

Well, now it’s time to celebrate her results and her birthday all at one go! We were excited to be on a family trip again and this time, to somewhere which is more relaxing. We booked the Holiday Villa Bintan and when we arrived, the resort was not as big as the Bintan Lagoon, Angsana or Banyan Tree but it was good enough for us.
We checked into our villa and the kids were so happy to find a pool inside the villa. They can’t wait to jump into the water under such hot weather. As we entered the bedroom, we found the bed decorated with ‘Happy Birthday Sweetie Tabi’ on the bed and that made my Lady Faith super happy and surprised at the same time.
Without delay, they got changed in seconds and the next moment after a picture, they disappeared into the pool! We settled down a little and finally joined the in the pool to chill. It was such a wonderful feeling having to be away from home and be in our own paradise.

It was too long when the evening came. We were lazy to dine in their nearest mall but decided to have dinner at their ONE & ONLY RESTAURANT in the resort. Well, they were serving buffet nightly with a theme but we decided to have a-la-carte instead.
I ordered the pasta for baby Emma and myself to share, Lady Faith had her own fish & chips while hubby tried their Gardo Gardo Indonesian style. Well… I must say that the food quality was quite disappointing and I had to add salt & pepper to taste for my pasta while hubby’s Gardo Gardo was quite a disaster!

After our disappointing dinner, we returned to our room and chill with our chips and some snacks we brought along from home. Thank goodness that we brought some food with us otherwise, the kids will be screaming in the night for food… hahaahahahah

Lady Faith’s Birthday Party

As parents of this generation, we will try to celebrate our child’s birthday as much as we could or effort. We want to give them a good childhood as they do not enjoy those carefree childhood lives we used to have when we were younger.

This year, we arranged a party at Doughworkz by Pastamania and we are happy to invite some of her friends from her kindergarten days. Doughworkz is a hands-on pizza making party for kids and let me tell you… the kids were so excited to get their hands on those dough.
We arrived early to set up the cake and goody bags so that we can be ready to welcome our guest for the party. We were happy that most of our guest came on time for the pizza workshop and all the kids were given the chef hats and the apron before they got themselves seated.

The main host or chef started off giving them introduction of what they will be doing and showed them the ingredients for pizza making. It was very interactive as the host questioned about certain ingredients, they had to give her the answer to what that ingredient was used for. After the introduction, they invited the birthday girl to demonstrate as the host gave her instructions on what to do. It was pretty much interesting watching Lady Faith preparing the dough.
After the first demo, the kids were given a set of ingredients to work out the pizza dough, decorate it and have it baked in the oven. All of them were really excited getting on to make their own pizza and noticed some of the kids were even exchanging their decorative ingredients with each other.

While waiting for the pizza to be ready, we had our cake cutting ceremony without wasting any time and we could see the happiness on Lady Faith’s face when she smiled from left to right. Hahahahaahah…

When their pizzas were ready, all the kids enjoyed their own product right away and that’s the time for all the parents to feel proud of their child. Lady Faith then gave out her goody bags to her friends which made them even more excited about what was inside the bags… we could hear some of the kids screamed when they opened up their bags… mmmh… it could be their favourite LOL dolls I supposed.

Though this was a kids’ party but the adults simply enjoyed time chatting with close friends over lunch and watching the kids enjoying themselves were truly priceless.

Thank you everyone for coming to Lady Faith’s birthday party and those beautiful gifts too.

Mother’s Day Celebration @ Emma’s School

We were invited to join the Mother’s Day celebration in Emma’s school during their school hours and in fact, I was really excited to go.

When I arrived, little pumpkin came out to the gate to welcome me and brought me to her class where the party will be held. She was really happy to see me and quickly showed me some food which was placed on the table in the middle of the room.

The simple party started off with teacher addressing to the Mother’s Day on the occasion and instructed the kids to get food for all the mothers. I was really happy to see how well our little pumpkin did when she served me the finger food.
After finishing the food, the teacher commenced the game segment and it has to be played with our child. The game was simple yet fun for both mum and child. Thumps Up Teachers!

After the game, the teacher called out to the children to get their gift which they jointly made with the teachers to present it to the mothers. I was super emotional when I received this little cake from Emma and knowing that she made this for me… made me wanna cry!
I am really thankful to the school and teachers for putting up effort to make this party meaningful for all mothers and it certainly made my Mothers’ Day more beautiful.

Happy Blessed Birthday PIC

I remembered back in those good old days in the office, we will all chip in and give ang paos to the birthday girl or give her a birthday treat. As you know, people will not stay in the same company for a long long time like some of us and the tradition somehow ended.

I am really grateful to have this bunch of friends whom I can called them part of my family. I try to organize outings and managed to meet up despite everyone’s busy schedule. Everyone is busy with their own stuff, be it working, travelling, doing voluntary work or stay home mum like myself.

Today, we met up the Rose Veranda, Shangri-La Hotel for our favourite high-tea. I was happy that I made my buddy a birthday cake and told the staff to keep in the fridge since I was the 1st one to arrive. As the rest arrived shortly, we were all ready to feast!

This gathering is not only to celebrate Rie’s birthday but also a long-awaited gathering to catch up with each other and laugh our hearts out. For those still working with MC, just to destress… hahahaahah

After eating for a couple of hours, we decided to get the cake and have a small celebration on our own and I was really happy that she loved the Tiramisu cake that I made. 😊

Happy blessed birthday PIC and wishing you success in what you do! Cheers!

Emma’s School Project

Our little Pumpkin’s school is requesting them to make a pair of glasses with straws. She came home telling me that I have to get some straws and make the glasses with her.

After dinner, daddy decided to help our pumpkin to make the straw glasses and she was simply excited about it especially when the whole family is involved doing this little project. Her sister took a few straws and made her own glasses while I was busy cutting the straws and dad fixing it.
It was pretty much a family effort making this cute straw glasses for her school project and she can’t wait to show off to her friends.

Gathering With Besties

We try to meet as often as we can as we are all busy with our own stuff. Finally, the date is fixed and we managed to meet up for our long-awaited dinner.

We went to try out the food at PS Café located at the One Fullerton. We arrived with no reservation but managed to be given the seat at the counter. Though it wasn’t the best seat for friends’ gathering but somehow we enjoyed the counter as the bartender was really nice and friendly.

The food was not too bad but pretty pricey. I guess most of the patrons are paying for the location instead of the food. Rental at One Fullerton must be deadly and that’s why their foods were costly too.  Honestly, I enjoyed the food but for the price… not really.

After dinner, we went for a stroll along the Singapore River and that would be a rare opportunity for me to enjoy the beautiful night view of Singapore. I really agree that our country has one of the nicest night scenery… simply GORGEOUS!
