Birthday Bash At Hard Rock Café

It was supposed to be a yearly affair to celebrate our dear friend Hairon’s birthday at HRC but somehow she has been busy with work and therefore we stopped hanging out there for the last few years.

However, it’s great to be back today to celebrate her birthday at our usual ‘Hangout’… HRC of course! We were really glad to be able to spend her actual birthday with her and had it done at HRC. We ordered most of our all time favorites and yes… it’s none other than the Jumbo Combo which includes all the yummy snacks like Buffalo wings, spring rolls, and onion rings etc…

Then we ordered salads, Fajitas to share and as well as the meat combo. SUPER YUMMY!!!! After our main course, we waited for our desserts to be served… haaa.. Actually waiting the staff to sabo our friend la… we informed the waiters that it’s our dear friend’s birthday and they served her the free dessert.

There was a catch though… she was asked to be on the stage and if that’s not enough, she has to stand on the huge speaker so that everyone in the house could see her. The waiter then asked everyone to sing her a birthday song and the atmosphere was great! Hairon was very spotting too and stood on the speaker smiling… haaaa…. Well done RONNY!

In the end, we ordered brownie, their ever famous dessert and shared since the birthday was too greedy to have the sundae herself…

Anyway, we all had a great time at HRC which brought back so many fond memories. Happy Birthday buddy and a belated birthday to the beautiful mum to be Vivian!

Cheers!

Happy 8 Months Darling

I always heard my friends telling me that babies are at their best when they are around 8-9 months. I would say… yes but it’s one of the most dangerous times too.

Faith turns 8th months and she is really very happy with her walker. She started on walker when she turned 7th months plus and now she is ‘flying’ away with it. I would say we thoroughly enjoyed seeing her on her walker as she is getting too heavy to carry around… kekekeekek

I am really thankful to God for blessing us with us an angel who brings laughter, joy and fun in our lives.

Reunion Dinner

It’s more or less a yearly affair that we have reunion dinner before Chinese New Year and this year is no exceptional.

We arranged to have dinner at Paradise Inn at IT Mall before our beloved mummy flies off to Hawaii for her holiday. Though it was a very last minute dinner arrangements but somehow everyone made an effort to attend.

Since it was near Chinese New Year, we had our 1st Lo Hei but somehow it turned out to be not a very good one. The waitress prepared the yusheng but the salmon fish she took was actually FROZEN! Aiyo… how to ‘Lo’ with frozen fish!!! Then that wasn’t the end… she brought it back to the kitchen and the chef used warm water to cool it off… which was a total disaster! As we were seated near the semi-opened kitchen, we saw everything and Leng immediately scolded the waitress who brought the fish back to us! We were puzzled why the waitress didn’t change the fish! Sighz…

We ordered loads of dishes till the table were fully occupied and we had to scope up the food on our plates to make way for the next dish. The best dishes of the night were their signature pig trotter’s bee hoon and the wasabi prawns…mmh… the pig stomach soup and the fried rice were one of our favorites too.

At the end of the dinner, we have no space for any desserts which was quite a pity. It was indeed an enjoyable dinner despite the hiccups at the beginning.

Birthday Celebration For January Babes

Beginning of a brand New Year and we are already ‘bleeding’… There are 4 babies in the month of January and giving gifts or ang pow can be quite painful!! Hahahaahahah

In return, the babes gave us a treat at Beng Hiang located at Amoy Street. We booked the place and menu was chosen by our ‘Food Director’, Ah Leng of course… Jessie, Rie & myself left office together and planned to get them a birthday cake and as well as some wine to go along with the dinner.

Once everyone arrived, food was served promptly. The cold dishes were served and it was one of our favorites… then my favorite soup – Fish Maw soup was served next. I have always enjoyed the fish maw soup here and would say that it’s my family member’s favorite too.

Leng as usual, she ordered an extra dish (sweet & sour pork) which is her all time favorite and it was all ‘cleaned up’ too. Next were the steam fish and ngor hiang which was delicious!!! The crispy chicken, the mushroom with vegetables, hokkien mee and mayo prawns were fantastic too. I would say… it’s a great set menu that we have ordered.

Last but not least, we totally drowned ourselves with the delicious yam paste! Aiyo… after dinner, we were struggling with the birthday cake though it was served a tiny piece each. We totally went crazy at the end of the dinner and as usual, we did silly poses… hahahaahah…

Anyway, thanks Agnes, Kat & Koko for the delicious dinner!

Cheers!
