Lady Faith Turns ELEVEN

Oh Mr. Clock, can you please slow down? I am really frustrated how fast time passes and with a blink of an eye, this baby of mine is ELEVEN! We would very much love to celebrate her birthday with a bang but with the Covid restrictions, she was only given the choice to celebrate it at home.

School closed and summer holidays began. Our birthday requested for one of her favourite dish and yes, she will gets whatever she requested for this special day. She was so happy that the kitchen smelt like Truffles and she just can’t wait to dish in the moment her lunch was served to her. Well yes, I stopped her for a picture before everything is gone in minutes.

She spent her day chilling out with her little sister and she was given the freedom to do whatever she likes for the day. We promised her that no school work and just a day of play. She certainly made full use of this special day and played her hearts out. They spent the whole day playing Lego, watching movies and munching on their favourite snacks. Well, that’s all we can give during this Covid time and we are happy to see her enjoying her special day.

Baked her a birthday cake and I was so happy to see her eyes lighting up the moment she set eyes on the cake. She was smiling from east to west and I am happy that the time spent on making this cake is all worth it. 😊

Though it was only just us, she was really happy and she told me that she simply love the cake and it was the best and prettiest cake ever! Awwwwww… how can you not be touched by such words from your own baby girl… I am super happy to bake you this cake and this would be our little gift to you though we would like to throw you a big party.

After clearing her big piece of cake, she immediately dashed to the living room and gathered all her gifts. It’s the time she had been waiting all day and yes…it’s unboxing time! Though it was under Covid restrictions, we are really blessed and thankful to everyone who sent the gifts or handed the gifts to us prior to her birthday. It definitely added more sparks on this special day. 😊

Happy blessed birthday our beautiful girl! May the good Lord always bless and keep you. May HE continue to watch over you and protect you always. We love you soooooooooooooooooo much and may you know nothing but happiness from this day on.

Preparation For Lady Faith’s Birthday

Lady Faith will be turning 11 soon and she requested a homebaked birthday this year. I am more than happy to bake her a cake on her birthday and with all the ingredients bought couple of days back, I am ready to start. 😊

It took me almost 1 hours to make her a non baked cheesecake and after having it set in the fridge for about 4 hours, I am happy to have them taken out and decorate them. I made some smaller version of her cake for my in-laws to share the birthday celebration since we are unable to gather once again due to the Covid situation.

It’s been two years and Lady Faith though felt sad not been able to celebrate her birthday with family and friends, but she is happy to receive homebaked cakes from me. 😊With that, I will definitely do my best to make her happy on her special day.

Made the Biscoff Loutus Cheesecake for her and here are the smaller version for my in-laws. 😊

Birthday Celebration For My Partner In Crime

My partner in crime’s birthday is just around the corner and we arranged to have a simple celebration with her at the Wang Dae Bak Korean Restaurant located at China Square. It’s my first time and I am excited as I am missing Korean BBQ food. I think my last one was perhaps coming close a decade ago.

When we arrived, we were ushered to our table. It was a cosy corner, but the restaurant is pretty much congested with many other tables placed nearby. I am all prepared to smell like a chef or a kitchen helper when dinner is over as the next table is practically NEXT, and BEHIND us. All you can see and hear will be the sizzle sound of the meat on the hot plate.

We ordered the set and some other dishes separately and man… we realized that our table is not big enough to put all the food at the same time. It was quite considerate of the staff to bring us another foldable table to put our food. Hhahaahahah

The BBQ food was good, and we loved their Kimchi the most. Yes… it was freshly made, and it tasted super yummy. The other sides were good too but nothing come close to Kimchi. 😊We ordered two tubs to bring home…

After our delicious dinner, it was the moment of truth. Birthday cake was brought out by the staff, and we started to sing Rie a birthday song softly as no loud singing is allowed due to Covid. Hahahahaah I am happy that the birthday loves her birthday cake and I was glad that it turned out great! The taste was nice but slightly sweet but it was acceptable. 😊 Woohoo!!!  Guess I will be doing this for Lady Faith’s birthday next… 😊

Happy blessed birthday Partner In Crime. May you be blessed with happiness and good health. 😊

Chocolate Banana Cake

Have been baking Banana Cakes for a while now and today, I tied to make a new flavour. Chocolate Banana Cake fragrance and moist. Pretty yumz according to kiddos. 😊 mmmh.. another one in the menu.

My Vaccination

With the Covid situation is happening around the world, I am totally up for the vaccination hoping to protect myself and my family.

When I arrived at the vaccination facility near my place, it was crowded, but the staff were professional. They led me to the waiting area to wait for my turn. The holding area was big, and we were given a sticker to notify staff that we are from the specific time slot.

We were then led into the vaccination hall where registrations were done. Quickly after registration, I was called into one of the rooms to be vaccinated. The nurse checked my details and explained to me the procedure and the vaccine I will be taking. She also told me the possible side effects I might experience after the vaccination.

The not-so-painful vaccination was done with seconds, and she is a pro! I did not feel a thing as she was speaking to me and keeping me occupied when she poked me… hahaaaaahahh

After vaccination, I was told to sit in the hall to rest and to be observed in case I do not feel well. I was given water to drink, and the staff walked around to check if anyone is feeling unwell. I heard my name called out after about 30 minutes and the staff at the counter reminded me on the possible side effects and handed me a paper certifying that I had my first dose of vaccination.

The whole process was quick, swift and I thank all the staff there for helping everyone out.

I could feel the side effects taking place after about 2 hours and I felt nausea though no vomiting. My left arms started to feel heavy, and I realized that I cannot lift it up… I was also feeling motion sickness, seasick more like it when I laid on my bed to rest. The rest of the night was uncomfortable, with a sore left arm and still feeling nausea which is making it harder to sleep… arrraaagggghhhh… I hope it will go away tomorrow…

Biscoff Cheesecake

Biscoff Lotus Biscuits has been making waves lately and found some good recipes for making cheesecake with it. Well, someone’s birthday is just around the corner and I decided to make her a no-bake cheesecake. This time, I attempted to make this Biscoff Cheesecake and hope it turn out well. 😊

Just by looking at the recipe, it wasn’t difficult to make it and ingredients are simple to find. Well, I am a great fan of cream cheese and yes, I will be more than happy to make non baked cheesecakes. 😊Getting down to make this cake was quite a breeze except that I am afraid how it will turn out.

After the cake is done, I left it in the fridge for half an hour to let it set before taking it out again to decorate it. 😊 I am all excited about how it will turn out tomorrow. 😊What do you think?
