Faith Turns TWO

Our little angel turns TWO today and after her blessing from Father Francis after morning mass today. We brought her to her favorite place to celebrate for her…

However, she fell asleep during the car ride from church to Changi Airport Terminal 3 and finally woke up after our peaceful luncheon… heheheheeh…. After her lunch, we brought her to SingKids where she can run around and enjoy playing with those huge balloons.

Hubby accompanied her to play and as usual, her first stop was the big balloons… she seemed to enjoy catching those big balloons and kicking them around. It was fun to watch indeed. Hubby was somehow stuck at the pool ball area where she loved so much that she refused to play other rides.

Finally after about 15 minutes diving into the pool of balls, she got bored and went to try out other theme. She tried on each for less than 5 minutes and she decided that the flying huge balloon area is still her favorite.

We brought her to the other side where they have more stuff for the kiddos. She went on the ‘water slides’ and she had fun but not really keen to try again after three times. Faith was quite obedient when we told her that her play time is up and had to go home. She did not show any signs of disappointment or disagreement… Phew!!
Mum cooked her favorite food – Bee Hoon for dinner as her birthday dinner and we bought her another birthday cake to celebrate since it’s her actual day today. She was happy once again when she saw the cake and got really excited though it’s not Elmo but Hello Kitty. Unfortunately, Pola’s ‘My Melody’ is sold out…

After the small celebration, we arranged all her birthday gifts from friends and family in the living room. Our little friend was thrilled to see those beautifully wrapped gifts on the floor and she can’t wait to get her hands on them. Right after the photo taking, she waited for my instruction and started choosing her first pressie to get them unwrap. It didn’t take her that long to unwrap all those wonderful gifts….

We thank God for our little Faith who brought us joy and laughter. Happy birthday darling and we love you very much. God love you too Sweetheart!

Faith’s Birthday Private Party

We had a big birthday celebration for our little Faith when she turned the BIG ONE and this year, we decided to have a simple one this time. We arranged a cozy area at Marriott Café for hi-tea and invited our family members and some of our closest friends whom we regarded them as family.

When we arrived, some of my friends were already there… happy that most were on time for the party. Though it was a free & easy hi-tea session with friends and family, we were happy that everyone turned up. The kiddos came over to greet Faith while she was seated on her high chair checking out the helium balloon from Theresa but was released by accident in the end…

High tea spread at Marriott Café was really good and I was happy with their newly renovated outlook which looked really cozy and warm. Half way through the feast, we decided to have the cake cutting ceremony as some of my friends needed to leave early for another party.

Faith was overjoyed and excited when she saw her birthday cake. We ordered Elmo for her as that is her favorite character from Sesame Street. She kept calling out ‘Elmo, Elmo’ while pointing it to grand-parents and those jie jie and kor kor around her.

It did not take long for everyone to gather for her birthday song and all the kids were happy to get involved. She wanted to have the Elmo figurine but it was sugar so… we gave her cake instead. while everyone were enjoying their cake, I gave out goody bags for the kids but it was the mothers who were excited about the packaging!

No surprises… everyone went crazy posing with the goody bags! Hahahahaah…. It was funny but enjoyable indeed. The party went very well and we would like to thank everyone for their wonderful participation for the party.
Thank you friends and family for joining us for the fun occasion and the lovely gifts to our little one…

Faith’s Birthday Celebration In School

After sending Faith to school this morning, we came home to get ready for her party at school. Thank God I baked the cake yesterday or else I wouldn’t have time to prepare her goody bags for her friends.

We set off to her school around tea time (after their afternoon nap), she was very happy to saw us entering her class and teachers were all ready for the celebration. They seemed to be professional as they did not take long to get the kids gather for photo session.

All of them were excited to sing her birthday song and it was quite an interesting experience. While I was cutting the cake, some of her friends came over and check out their portion and teachers had to lead them back to their seat… mmmh… guessed I was too slow…

Her teachers gave her a birthday present. She got really excited and almost opened the gift on the spot but I stopped her just in time. While all her friends were enjoying the home-made cake, I distributed their goody bags which made them even happier. Kids love to receive gifts and I really hope they have enjoyed themselves though it was a very short celebration.

This is Part I of Faith’s birthday celebration and can’t wait for the one tomorrow.

Thank you teachers for all your help and wonderful co-ordination for the birthday party.

Brownie

This is my 2nd time trying out to bake brownie as I failed the first time. This time, I tried out another recipe taken on the web (as usual) and it turned out not too bad but was slightly burnt… honestly, not as bad as my first attempt which failed terribly!

I am still trying my very best to get familiarized with my oven and I really more practice. After all, I wouldn’t want Faith’s birthday cake to be burnt too! Sighz… I do not have much time left for practices and hopefully I will get to know my oven well soon!

The brownie however turned out to be quite alright though slightly burnt… but it was quite nice according to my colleagues who are my testers… they mentioned that the taste was not too bad despite it was slightly burnt… and some of them like the burnt taste as it was chewy… *winks*

Thank you pals for your wonderful encouragements all these while and I will try to improve on my baking and hopefully the next time you try my cake will be in perfect condition.
