Celebrating My Birthday @ Pietro

This is one restaurant that is very well-loved / visited by my family as we love the food, the staff and the environment. In this restaurant, we celebrated our birthdays, friends’ outing and family gatherings too.

This year it is no exception too as we went to Pietro for my birthday dinner which we enjoyed thoroughly. We ordered our usual favourite dishes like the roast chicken, aglio for our kiddos and the ultimate delicious truffle pizza!!! SUPER YUMMY!!!

We simply love the food and service there and though it was a simple dinner, I had a wonderful time coz’ I had a great time with my family!

Zumba Fun

My weekly dose of Zumba with the people staying in my neighbor was simply fun! It certainly boosts up my weekend and gave me energy to hang out with kids the whole day. J

Today’s Zumba class was joined by buddy Linda and I was glad that she was able to blend in with my Zumba friends. We all had lots of fun during our session and I was given a surprised birthday cheer by my instructor. Super sweet of her!!!

Parents Connects

It’s the 2^nd month of Primary School for Lady Faith and we are already invited to join the Parents Connects session at her school for the 1^st time. We, parents, are new to such sessions at school for we did not attend any during her days in childcare. J

When we arrived at her school hall, there was a huge turn out and we were asked to sit according to our daughter’s class. It kicked off with an introduction of the school by the principal and she was very clear and detailed about how they run the school, the school history, introducing her team of teachers and a brief of the coming events.

Following up after the introduction by the principal, we were also briefed on their Holistic Assessment Plan for Primary 1. They shared with us how are the teachings conducted, the term tests and how they are scored. It sounded not too stressful but hubby thought it’s pretty tough for our Lady Faith who is always dreaming…

After the session at the hall, we were allowed to visit our daughter’s class for the next segment of the Parents Connects. Parents got to meet up with their form teacher in their class and I felt really excited about going to Faith’s class.

I felt that same old feeling of school when I entered her class and it was just like my school days. Simple desk and chair but now they are using whiteboard instead of black chalk board. Sitting on those chairs simply brought back super good memories of my primary school days where I looked forward to be in that seat every day.

After a shot conversation with her form teacher Mdm. Raniah who I thought was really sweet, pretty and warmed and got to know where Lady Faith desk location… hahahaha she is seated at the last row on the left side near the window. Went to her desk and noticed that her desk was messy… I packed it up for her and brought home her COM book too where she left it at school…

We checked out her classroom and we saw the projects she did at home hanging in class and I simply loved their class pictures taken and prepared by her form teacher. Thumps UP!

ADM/COOR CNY Lo Hei Dinner

Well, it’s pretty much a yearly affair that we will have this CNY Lo Hei dinner with the department. This year, we chose East Ocean Restaurant located at Ngee Ann City as it’s convenient for everyone.

Though we are happy to attend department dinner but somehow it will be more enjoyable if the bosses are not able to join… hahahaahahah anyway, we got to have them around to sign the bill afterall. It was pretty ‘co-incident’ that I met my best buddies in the same restaurant too and I was really happy to see them…

As usual, we are chatting among ourselves and having fun during dinner while some are busy entertaining the bosses. We kicked off the dinner with the Yu Sheng as our 1^st dish and man… it was fun to toss and it’s considered 1^st time for Tsuchiya-san. After tossing for a while, most of the vegetables from the Yu Sheng were on the plates and on the table… hahaahah… yes, it’s supposed to be MESSY!

I ran over to my buddies’ table and had the Lo Hei with them too… it’s great to Lo Hei twice in a restaurant with 2 groups of people!!! HUAT HUAT HUAT!!!! I also took a speedy time out to sat with them stealing their food… hahaahahahah

Our department dinner will never be boring when we are hanging out together especially with my few ‘partner-in-crime’… hahahaahah  However, I think this would be a better and more enjoyable CNY dinner compared to the one we had with Mr. Fu for the last  2 years... hahahaahahah

Lo Hei Dinner Gathering

This would be our beloved Boss’ last CNY celebrated in Singapore as he will be returning to Japan for his new assignment end March. Though we are very sad to see him leave us but he promised us that he will try to visit SIN every CNY so that we can continue our yearly Lo Hei.

He has given us the green light to choose the restaurant and we have decided to try out the CNY menu at Peony Jade located at Keppel Club. It is totally new to him and I would want to bring him to new places before he leaves.

He also generously invited our ‘mummy’ Florence to join this gathering as they somehow hit it off very well the first time they met. We checked out the menu and ordered their a-la-carte buffet and it was pretty good.

We were pretty much satisfied by the portion and the quality of food they served in that restaurant. As for service, it may not be the BEST in town you find but I think as a Michelin star restaurant, they should really improve their services.

We chatted and wined over such sumptuous dinner and it was truly a great dinner outing with bossy. I will definitely miss him coz’ he is such a funny man especially when he does his ‘Da Tou’ dance…. Hahaahahah…. That’s the BEST of the BEST!!!

CNY Office Fun

I am back to office after enjoying a long CNY weekend with family and friends. Though it’s a drag to be back at work but I thoroughly enjoy my time with my colleagues who is my strength to help me get through the day… haahahahaha

Honestly, without my friends in this company, there isn’t any meaning to stay coz’ facing those bosses’ faces are such a disgusting sight! The morale in this office is SUB-ZERO and everyone stays because we have a bunch of good national staff that are here to comfort, help and stand by you.

I am really thankful for my wonderful pals who always stand by me all these years… luv you guys!
