Fish Farm

School holidays can be a challenge during this pandemic as we ae unable to travel, gatherings limitations, no parties, maximum visitors per household visit etc.… it is difficult to plan anything.

Since it’s only a week of break for the kids, we decided to bring them to visit the Fish Farm which is near where we live. They have never been to a fish farm, and I remembered hubby & I used to visit to buy fishes to keep. It was less than 15 minutes’ drive to the fish farm from our place and the kids were so excited during the car ride.

When we arrived, they were thrilled to see how big the fish farm was, and they are free to check out so many different types of fishes in the tank. There was an open space where they kept bigger fishes and we bought some fish food for the kids to feed. Those hungry fishes were ‘jumping for joy’ when the girls thew the food into the concrete tank.

Lady Faith went for the ‘Drain Fishing’ experience where she was given a small pail and a fishing net; she could only catch the fishes at the destinated small pond area. It was quite an experience for her as she found it difficult to catch the fishes as they swam so fast. She managed to catch about 3-4 fishes, but we set them free again as the fishes will be happier living in the wild than to stay in a tank.

After an hour of fun at the fish farm, we left for home. The girls had so much fun though it was a simple outing, but they want to be back again to feed for fishes. 😊

Celebration At Kinya Izakaya

We are very happy that we can dine out once again after the eased of Covid Measures. We did not hesitate to book the date for dinner. Hahahahaah….

We decided to try out at Kinya Izakaya located at South Beach. This restaurant is owned by our ex-colleague Roy and we would definitely want to support him. As it was our first time visiting, we browsed through the menu and ordered some of our favourite dishes and as expected, we always over order our food. Hahahahah… Okay, nothing new on that when you are too excited to dine out with your friends after a long time.

The dishes were served shortly and quickly filled up our table space. We had to portion them out to make space for other dishes to be served. The dishes we ordered were really good as they were really yummy. The noodle that we ordered was something new and we totally love it. I would say the stingray fins, grilled squid and Takoyaki were some of my favourite dishes for sharing. :0)

We were happy to meet our ex-colleague Roy after more than a decade. He did not change much and stayed as nice as before. I was really glad that we met again after such a long time and we had a great time catching up. He introduced us to some new sake and it was refreshing and delicious… now I am craving for it as I write. 😊

After we are finally done with our food, we took a quick time out to celebrate Jessie’s birthday. I made her the Tiramisu cake and I am happy that we all enjoyed this simple cake as desserts.

The food served at Kinya Izakaya is really good and we will definitely be back again. Try it if you are around South Beach area yea… 😊

Happy blessed Neh! May you be blessed with happiness and good health always. Luv ya.

Painful Experience

Lady Faith came home on Friday complaining that she has injured her feet but there was no swelling seen on the feet. She was limping when walking and told us that she is in pain when trying to get up.

We decided to take her to the Traditional Physician for a check and Lady Faith was anxious and nervous at the same time. She is worried that it will be painful, but she wanted to get treated. When we arrived at the clinic, it was crowded, and I accompanied into the room after waiting for a about half and hour.

The doctor whom we know so well came to check on her and gave her treatment. I could see that she is in pain when the doc touched and started rubbing her ankle area. She was enduring the pain and tried so hard not to scream out loud. Her face was as red as a tomato, and she looked at me while I calmed her down with a smile. 😊

She felt more relieved when the nurse was dressing up for her feet and though she was still limping out of the consultation room, she was feeling better, and she said that it is less painful when she stood up. Though it was still painful but at least she was walking better than when she arrived.

She said that she will be more careful during her sports training and hopefully will not be experiencing this treatment again. Well, there is always first time for everything so, well done Lady Faith for being brave. 😊
