Fish Farm

School holidays can be a challenge during this pandemic as we ae unable to travel, gatherings limitations, no parties, maximum visitors per household visit etc.… it is difficult to plan anything.

Since it’s only a week of break for the kids, we decided to bring them to visit the Fish Farm which is near where we live. They have never been to a fish farm, and I remembered hubby & I used to visit to buy fishes to keep. It was less than 15 minutes’ drive to the fish farm from our place and the kids were so excited during the car ride.

When we arrived, they were thrilled to see how big the fish farm was, and they are free to check out so many different types of fishes in the tank. There was an open space where they kept bigger fishes and we bought some fish food for the kids to feed. Those hungry fishes were ‘jumping for joy’ when the girls thew the food into the concrete tank.

Lady Faith went for the ‘Drain Fishing’ experience where she was given a small pail and a fishing net; she could only catch the fishes at the destinated small pond area. It was quite an experience for her as she found it difficult to catch the fishes as they swam so fast. She managed to catch about 3-4 fishes, but we set them free again as the fishes will be happier living in the wild than to stay in a tank.

After an hour of fun at the fish farm, we left for home. The girls had so much fun though it was a simple outing, but they want to be back again to feed for fishes. 😊
