Site Inspection At Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands officially opened in June and that was the time I was serving my confinement. The sales manager invited my colleagues for a site inspection and when I returned to office in September, most of them have already visited the hotel.

However, a few of my colleagues have not been there and we finally made it for the inspection after managed to get everyone available on the same day. I was really excited and looking forward to the brand new casino hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel lobby, I was quite disappointed about the atmosphere as it did not give me a feeling of ‘GRAND’ & ‘CLASS’… rather I felt a little casual and like as if I was in Macau or Genting… the staff who came over to help us wasn’t that friendly after telling her we had an appointment with our sales manager.

Fanny, our beautiful sales manager brought us to the Sky Park which was located on the 57th floor of the hotel. The view up there was spectacular!! I was thoroughly blown away by the view from the pool and I simply loved it… though we missed the sunset but the view was fantastic la…

Then we proceed to check out their rooms and the first one was the Orchid Suite. The room was huge with a beautiful view the Marina area. I could imagine myself staying in the Orchid Suite but will bleed la… coz’ it’s really costly!

The Premier Room was really nice and cozy though not as big as the Orchid Suite. For our corporate rates, I think it’s quite reasonable and affordable. Mmmh…. now I am thinking of trying for a night… As for their Deluxe Room, it was nice but I would say…. Quite Small la… but it can be compensated with a great view.

After the inspection, we were invited to dine at Rise which is located at the lobby area at Tower One. The moment we stepped in, we were thrilled by the wide buffet spread. Call us Greedy if you wished la…

Fanny had to leave us as she had some packing to do and we were FREED from the ‘Official’ status… hahahaah… I was really happy with the wide selections of salads, hams, seafood and many others… for my starters, I went for a small amount of salads, a few Parma hams and I was surprised to find sliced abalone!

Linda who was more excited than me went to check out the food and came back reporting to me!! She told me that they had ‘Angel Fish’ and told me that they will pan fried it… for that moment, I was wondering what fish she was referring to… after checking with her again, I realized its promfet…

Overall, the food was delicious though it cost $68++ per person for dinner. I had so much food that I only left with a small space for dessert which I regretted… anyway, we are planning to return for another round of dinner but this time, it will be out of our own pocket la…
