Hong Kong Here We Come!!

Many friends wondered if we have any relatives or friends in Hong Kong as it has become our yearly visit. Actually, I do have friends in Hong Kong but we are there not to visit them but to spend some family time together in a cooler country.

We took the early flight from SIN to HKG and little Faith woke up happy this morning… as if she knows that we are heading to another country. She wanted to bring along her ‘friends’ but we only allowed her to bring ONE… so, she decided to bring ELLE the Elephant after taking her time to pick the best…

This would be the first time for Faith to own a seat on the plane and she was certainly excited about the surroundings. The experience of travelling with her was so different last year where she was much younger than. She was sharing my seat and slept through the 3hrs plus flight but this time, she was very much awake playing with the controllers, trays, pillow and blanket on her seat. She even wanted to watch Sesame Street which was featured on the kids’ channel.

When her food was served, she was happy and finished almost the whole portion. She fell asleep about 30 minutes before landing at HKG airport. It was somehow a nightmare for me as I had to carry her all the way from the plane to the coach… SWEAT!!!

After checking ourselves to the hotel, we let the elderly rest while hub & I went out to get them some snacks in case they get hungry.

For dinner, we went to the nearby local restaurant Tai Heng for early dinner since the elderly did not eat much. Hubby ordered some dishes like the house-platter, sweet & sour pork, their soup of the day, roast meat combo and a clay-pot mixed vegetables.

After dinner, we went to take a stroll at Mong Kok Ladies’ Market and the elderly were happy to get some nice stuff for their grand-children. As usual, we brought some snacks for supper on our way back to hotel and call it a night.
