Annual Welcome Back Party

It’s a yearly affair that our office will organize ‘Welcome Back’ party and this year, no difference too even with the economical crisis…. It was our 2nd day to work after a long office holiday from 30th December 2008. Perfect holiday for most of us to rest and relax.







At 5pm, we were asked to assemble at our main conference room. It was sort of our yearly routine to view our President’s speech for the New Year which usually lasted for like 20-25 minutes. However, his speech was really short (less than 10 minutes) which was really good for us as it could be pretty boring if it took longer.

To our surprise, GM decided to play games (quizzes) after the speech by President Kojima. The questions were based on various topics on Singapore history. At the end of the game, we had 5 winners and they each received Istean vouchers courtesy from GM.

There were great varieties of food and the most popular dish was none other than the ‘Mee Siam’. The queue for Mee Siam formed immediately after the game but it was pretty fast… the rest of the dishes were good too like the bake mussels with cheese, fried chicken drumlets, tuna cheese stick, fruit tarts and the éclairs.








There were lots of interaction among our office and subsidiary staff but as usual, my group was in the world of our own… hahahahaahah…. We were happily enjoying our food at one of the corner without the bosses and away from the crowd.







It was definitely enjoyable coz’ we got to party officially in the office!!
