ADM Reunion Dinner

It’s a monthly affair that we have our department meeting but this time round, since Chinese New Year is just around the corner, our boss Sugano-san suggested to have dinner instead. In conjunction with Chinese New Year, we organized a reunion dinner at Beng Thin Hoon Kee at OCBC Centre. We even had our dress code; we have to be in red as Red represents auspicious!

When we arrived, it was pretty empty as we were pretty early la… the rest of the group will be arriving only around 7pm which was the scheduled time. Feeling bored and restless, we took the opportunity to take some pictures of ourselves and somehow had fun having those cutleries as our posing items…

When boss arrived and seated, he immediately put on his baseball jersey and his red cap to blend in with the rest of us who were in Red. I have to say that he was really spotting and fun. While waiting for Agnes (the last one) to arrive, we took some pictures with Sugano-san too. I was amazed that he posed differently for each shot. Sugano-san brought one bottle of red wine and whiskey.

Our first dish was Yu Sheng and it definitely looked pretty and yes, it was delicious too. As we did the Loi Hei, everyone had an auspicious verse! It was indeed fun and guessed what; it was my boss’s first time having Loi Hei.

My favorite Fish Maw Soup was served shortly after our Yu Sheng and followed by crispy roast chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork, Fried Prawn Roll, the delicious Sliver Cod Fish, Scallops with vegetables, their house special Hokkien Mee and Pork Belly with steam buns.

We were happily drinking (I mean bottoms Up) with Sugano-san during dinner. Sugano-san, Linda and Susan were the best drinker for tonight. Hahahaahah… as for me, I believed I finished half the bottle of the red wine as majority was not wine drinkers.

Among the dishes, my personal favorite will be the fish mall soup, roast chicken, sliver cod fish, hokkien mee & the pork belly… man… it was delicious.

The night ended off after desserts and our group photo together. It was a great reunion with the department and thank you Sugano-san for the dinner. Cheers!
