Albert Court & Golden Landmark Visit

We were invited by our sales manager Pauline to have a site inspection at the two properties. She kindly arranged transportation to pick us at our office since we are visiting both hotels.

Though both hotels are in business for the longest time but I have never been to either of them and have no idea how the rooms are like till today. When we arrived at Albert Court, we were greeted by the fresh scent of lemon grass that filled the whole lobby, warmth welcome by the Front Desk manager and not forgetting the welcome drink. The first impression was great.

We noticed that the hotel is in its original structure and they even kept the Perankan flavor too. The interior décor, the rooms and the feel was simple cozy and comfortable. Their spacious and quite high ceiling superior room was pretty much cozy. I was indeed surprised by what I saw.

We toured their gym and their deluxe rooms and man, they were really cool. Simply love the resort type of concept.

Then we visited their Executive Rooms which was located at another wing. The moment I stepped in, I was truly impressed and simply loved it. Though it was Executive Room but it gave you the feel that you are actually in a resort rather than a business hotel. It was extremely relaxing and very quiet… for that moment; it reminded me of some hotels in Bali or Phuket. Very impressive indeed!!

After that, we continued our journey to Golden Landmark which is located at Beach Road. It was my virgin visit too. The hotel is pretty old but the rooms were quite nice. They too were spacious and nicely furnished.

We were treated to a great and delicious dinner at their in-house Hainanese restaurant Mooi Chin. The dishes she ordered were interesting and were their house special. We had the seafood soup for starters, and then came the Thai style fish, mushroom with kailan, Hainanese pork chop, Hainanese soya chicken, cereal prawn, hotplate beancurd, fried rice and sweet ending with desserts.

The night ended early and it was one good trip overall. Thank you Pauline for your wonderful invitation and arrangements!
