Our usual monthly department luncheons are held in the office but today, we lunch out instead. We arranged lunch at Plaza Market Café, located at Swissotel The Stamford. When we arrived, it wasn’t as crowded as we expected but while we were dining, the crowd started to pour in.
They served both International & Peranakan buffet at SD 36 ++ per person. Mmh… the spread today wasn’t too bad and we liked the roast pork and the BBQ chicken especially. As for the mains, I think the pork ribs, salted vegetables, fried rice, ngoh hiang tasted pretty good too. I heard from colleagues that the peranakan style curry wasn’t that tasty… however, the desserts corner was one of our favourite hangout… there were quite a good spread of fruits, cakes, kuehs, puttu mayam and the popular durian pudding… yummy!
As usual, we will be in the world of our own though there were so many people around us. We chatted and laughed as if we were alone!!! Our boss Sugano-san was can be crazy too as he played along with us. It was great!
Though it was a short lunch but we certainly had fun. We definitely prefer to have lunch outside than in the office where it was too boring and official… okay… boring is the usual statement when having meeting isn’t it… kekeekekekek
