Our kiddos
were so happy to see Mike and family and all smiles at the airport on a very
early Saturday morning. After checking in our luggage and immigration, we went
to have our breakfast and we were all excited about the trip. Last minutes
confirmation on the place and how to get to our apartment were some of our
conversation over breakfast.
Our flight
to London was pretty much full but we were glad that we had our seats booked way
advanced. The 13 hrs 40 minutes was pretty tough for our Lady Faith as she threw
out over 5 times onboard and didn’t have any appetite. We were really grateful
to the flight steward who came over several times to check on Lady Faith and
providing top service to us. Thumps UP Singapore Airlines.
I couldn’t
sleep onboard but managed to doze off for about a good 45 minutes while the
rest of the time I was watching movies and chatting with Mike and family who
were seated right next to where we sat.
After a
super long flight, we finally arrived safely in London Heathrow Airport. Our energy
was almost drained but we were somehow lightened up when we stepped out of the
immigration. Our driver was on time and we set off to the city for our apartment.
Woohoo!!!
It took us
about an hour to arrive at our destination and after waiting in the cold (12
degrees) for about 10 minutes for the representative, we finally checked in to
our apartment. The apartment was alright though it wasn’t as luxury as advertised
but it was acceptable to some point.
We freshened
up ourselves and almost ready to head out to meet Maggie who was in London
since last week. Lady Faith suddenly cracked up and told us that she isn’t feeling
too well and wished to stay home instead. I was worried about her and decided
to stay with her while hubby went off to have dinner with Maggie and family.
We are really
lucky to have Mike as our travelling mates as he is such a fantastic chef. Though
it was last minute that we will stay home for dinner, he managed to whip up
some simple dinner for everyone in just an hour. Thumps Up! Now, all we need is
a good rest before our adventure begins tomorrow.
