The only thing I have to do is to have them
delivered to friends and relatives. I hope they like the goodies that I made this
year. ๐

Mizuki Turns SEVEN!
Geeezzz… time is seriously merciless!!! I still
remembered the first time I met Mizuki at the hospital and I noticed her hair
at the first sight! She has sooooooooooooooo much HAIR!!! Super cute and I was
filled with joy that I have added another God-dotter to my list. Woohoo!!!
Today, she is celebrating her 7th
Birthday at the AMPED Trampoline Park and very happy to join their parents in
celebration! This is the first time bringing the kiddos to the trampoline park
and man… they were super excited. They started their jumps the moment the park is
ready and they had so much fun jumping from one trampoline to another.
While the kids were enjoying their jumps, the
parents were chilling out at the spectator’s seats or at the party room where
the food was served. It was quite a good time for us to do some catch up with
some of her friends.
We prepared the cake and gathered the kids around
the table for the cake cutting ceremony and the cake was really beautiful! The kids
were really cooperative and gathered pretty fast and we sang the birthday song
and got on to the photo-taking and cake cutting.
The cake was really delicious and the kiddos enjoyed
it very much. They continued to enjoy the jump till the party is over. It was
truly great fun but a tiring one for the kids. They were so tired that they doze
off the moment they got into the car.
Thank you Rie & Zhong Li for inviting us to
this enjoyable party! Happy Blessed Birthday Kiki and wishing you happiness, joy
and good health!

First Lo Hei Of 2019
I am a huge fan of Yusheng and I started having
Yusheng even before CNY begins. Well, some of my friends said that I want to
hit a certain number of Lo Hei per year so that I will have a splendid and prosperous
year ahead! Hahahaahahah…
This year, I would considered my first Lo Hei kind
of late coz’ usually I will have the first lo hei with my crazy bunch of
ex-colleagues (whom I now regards them as) during our annual reunion dinner together.
This year, we had our reunion early and thus, the yusheng is not ready to be
served yet. ☹
However, I am still very happy that the stall in
Chinatown started to sell their yusheng a week or so before CNY and I managed
to get my 1st yusheng today! Woohoo!!!
Shevelle Turns SIX
Shevelle will be turning SIX and she will be
entering Primary School Journey next year!!!! OMG!!! Maggie planned a fantastic
and magical party for her for that reason and she had it held at the British
Club.
The kiddos were excited to attend the party as
they know that it is a Princess Theme. Just like couple of years back, Shevaun
had the same theme party by the same people but a different venue, Lady Faith had
a ball of a time!
This time, the party is held at British Club
and The Tiara Society booked the place and had the function room decorated
beautifully. They had the costume changing corner where the kids are welcome to
change into their favourite royal costumes and there was a tiara or sword
decorations area to keep the kids busy too.
When the party began, they had a mascot or host
to keep the kids focus and they played a couple of games like the dancing game,
musical chairs and the last but not least… the hitting of the piรฑata. All the
kids were given chances to try hit it so that the candies will fall out. ๐
While there was a long table set up for the
kids which they called it the Royal Lunch, all parents or adults had to take
the chairs provided at the sideline. It was pretty much fun having this party
and I got to say that I enjoyed the buffet spread prepared by the British Club.
They were both quality and quantity portion and I gave it a thump up for the
food.
Happy blessed birthday Velle and may the good Lord
keep and love you always!

My Copycat Version Of Jenny Cookies
I am a big fan of Jenny Cookies and so are my family
members. I usually buy a tin or two whenever I visit Hong Kong. In fact, one of
my best buddies will also buy for us whenever she travels to Hong Kong for
leisure.
Yearly, I will make the cornflakes snacks for
my family, relatives and friends. This year, I decided to try something new. I
braced myself to bake my version of Jenny Cookies. Found the recipe online and
after three tries and adjustment, I am happy with the end results.
The comments from the family was very positive
and I am loving my butter cookies that melts in your mouth! Woohoo!!! Can’t wait
to give them to my loved ones!

Happy Birthday To Vian & Ron
I am truly blessed with beautiful people around
me and today, I am happy that I am able to celebrate two of my buddies whom I knew
since P1. Well, I would say that we grew up together as we were from the same primary
school and graduated from the same secondary school.
School days were our super fun days though we
had to go through examinations but we managed to make the best of out of the
worst! Hahaahahahah… I have never felt bored at school but filled with energy
when I AM IN SCHOOL. I guess that the different scenario for this generation.
Anyway, we gathered together at Alley On 25 –
Smoke & Pepper located at Andaz Hotel Singapore for our dear friends’
birthday dinner. It was my first time to visit this hotel and it is pretty much
interesting to me. It does not feel like a hotel when I sat foot on the lobby –
it felt more like a condo.
When I arrived on the lobby level which is located
on the 25th floor, I did not even notice the check-in counter coz’
it was so un-noticeable! I asked the hotel staff who was at the lobby area the
direction of the restaurant I was going and she kindly led the way.
There were three different theme restaurants in
Andaz Hotel and we went to Smoke And Pepper which was chosen by Hairon. We browsed
through the menu and ordered the dishes to share. I would say that the food wasn’t
too bad for 1st timers but price certainly ain’t cheap neither. We had
a great time eating and catching up on each other.
Theresa requested the cake from the restaurant staff
for their birthday and we had the simple cake cutting ceremony. The cake was pandan
cake with a twist but it tasted not too bad. Since we were comfortable at the
restaurant, we decided to order our desserts too.
Wonderful dinner with great companions! Happy
Birthday my two great pals! May you be blessed with happiness, joy and good health
always.
Emma’s School Outing To Chinatown
It’s probably a yearly affair that the school
will arrange an outing to Chinatown with the kids as a learning journey.
Emma has been excited about the outing to Chinatown
and have been talking about it at home and how much she looks forward to it. Today,
she jumped out of bed early and told me to get ready for school for she will be
going to Chinatown. I could see the excitement in her eyes and how fast she got
changed today! Hahaahahahaha
The school arranged a coach for the outing but it
was a regret not being about to join for I was busy with CNY bakes. I was happy
to know that one of her friend’s mother will be joining so I can expect some
pictures from her.
When I fetched her back from school, she was in
awe telling me about the outing to Chinatown and what are the things she saw
and bought. Yes… the teachers brought them to buy some CNY goodies with the
money we gave ($5) and our little pumpkin bought back some jellies. ๐ I casually commented about the jellies and she
said that she did not want to buy the peanuts coz’ her sister and her does not
like peanuts so, she bought jellies instead. She told me that her sister loves
jelly so, she bought it for her. Awwww…… my heart melted!
She definitely had a great time visiting Chinatown
and learnt about the culture and saw many decorations and stalls that sells CNY
goodies. I am sure it’s a very fruitful trip for all the kids. Thumps Up
teachers for doing such a great job looking after so many of them. Thank you!
My Yearly Bakes
CNY is almost approaching and I have started to
stock up the ingredients for my baking marathon last week.
Today, I started to make the cornflakes snacks
for the friends and relatives as a gift of love to them yearly. This is one CNY
snack that is very well received not only by kids but the adults too. Let the baking
begins…

HeyTea!
Okay…. I am still searching for the BEST brown
sugar boba milk and today, I managed to get to taste HeyTea which is regarded
as one of the BEST or at least in the Top 3 list.
Not too familiar with Ion Orchard, I tried to
find my way to the HeyTea outlet and after walking almost the whole B1, I finally
found the outlet located at the corner with a long queue. I was reconsidering
if I should queue for it but went ahead since I was already there.
Placing the order was pretty quick and the
total of waiting time for the drink was about 5 minutes which is not too bad. There
were many staff in the shop which makes the collection pretty fast. Upon receiving the drink, I was told by the staff that I should
try the Brรปlรฉe and then stir well and drink. I was really
excited about the drink. I followed instructions and man… it was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!!!!
Since
I was in the queue, I bought another drink. The Mango Cheezo was
pleasant to the tummy. The concoction contains best-picked mangoes of the
season, giving it a strong fruity taste. I loved how the smooth mangoes paired
beautifully with the creamy cheese layer. This is one drink I’d highly
recommend. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YUMMY!!!
Okay,
I love the Brulee Boba but I am IN LOVE with the Mango Cheezo!!! Trust me, it’s
a better choice over the brown sugar brulee boba milk. Definitely go for that
cheezo again if I am queueing… or perhaps the Brulee Boba milk… or BOTH!
hahahaahahahaha

Dinner With The Ngs
Time really rocket so fast that it’s already a
brand new year! Our friends from Perth will be leaving SIN to prepare their
daughter for school soon and we managed to meet them for dinner before they
leave.
They were so nice to host dinner at Casa Manini
located at Serangoon Gardens. It was a very cozy restaurant with friendly lady
boss serving us with good attitude. We were given a seat near the entrance but I
would say it’s a lovely seat as we got all the greens around us.
We browsed through the menu and we all decided what
to order. The kids went with the truffle fries and the spaghetti aglio olio E gamberi,
while we had the salad, vivaldi pizza, lasagna classica, buratta pasta, risotto
al funghi and cotechino & lentils. The food was good but the portion was
quite small for sharing so, you will tend to order more to share if your group is
big.
Dinner with the Ngs is always entertaining and
enjoyable. The two families shared almost the same interests and we have lots
of topics to talk about besides discussing our trip to London. ๐ While the adults were enjoying our chats and
wine, the kiddos were busy with their drawings and colorings entertaining
themselves.
We ordered their homemade Tiramisu for desserts
and it was not too bad. Soft and tasty but I would prefer the cream to be
richer. Overall, thumps up for the food and service.
Thank you Mike & family for the sumptuous dinner
and we will see you soon in June! Have a safe and pleasant flight back to Perth!

Farewell Dinner For Saito-San
Saito-san was supposed to be in Singapore as a
replacement for Yatomi-san but we were left with no bosses for about three months
due to his employment pass issue. During that time, I was already planning to
quit but at the same time, feeling bad as it will not be nice to quit when the new
boss arrives.
I am happy that I had the privilege to work
with him for at least a good few months before I handed him my resignation. I remembered
working alongside with him was pretty simple and no pressure at all. He always allows
us to work independently and try to solve our problems with us if we
encountered any.
I received the news from my ex-colleagues that
he will be returning to Japan end of this month and I am really happy and
honored to be invited to his farewell dinner. Jessica, kindly booked the Chui Hua
Lim Teochew Restaurant for this occasion and I really had no idea that this restaurant
existed! Hahahaahah…
I only knew it when I took the cab and the
driver actually told me that this restaurant is pretty famous and popular
amongst the Teochew people. The restaurant is really huge – with 2 levels of super
spacious dinning halls and private rooms available.
We were given a private room with KTV system
and the room was freezing cold. We started to key in as many songs as we can to
the system so that we can enjoy both music and dinner at the same time. We also
had a few rounds of singing and the craziest part of the evening was… everyone stood
up and dance! Hahaahahahaha….
Everyone went crazy including boss and we turned
the cozy private room into a mini disco with all the dancing music. It was so
fun and hilarious at the same time but who cares right… this is all about
having fun together and make memories stays in your heart forever.
Thank you, Saito-san, for giving the
opportunity to bid you farewell and wishing you all the best in your new assignment.

Our Annual Affair
It is a yearly affair that we will meet for
dinner before the CNY as our reunion gathering. This year is no exception too
as I booked private room at Spring Court (as usual) and chose their set menu
with free suckling pig.
We had our reunion pretty early this year as
some members are not available due to trips and other engagements. At the same
time, we were able to celebrate Yoyo’s birthday which falls on the day of our
dinner.
This year being too early for CNY menu, we
weren’t able to have our Lo Hei like we had last year but we had our birthday
buns for the January babies and the craziest part was everyone in the room were
given gloves to tear the sucking pig apart as a part of our Lo Hei!
As we were in the private room, we were more
than happy to input all the songs to the karaoke system so that we can enjoy
music during dinner. However, we DUN SING but ended up dancing with the music. The
night was so crazy that we were all dancing after half way through dinner and
some were singing too. It was so crazy and we laughed so hard till our tummy
actually vibrated! Hahahaahahahah
After the desserts were served, we had the cake
cutting ceremony and that was considered the only time we were all seated and
started singing the birthday song nicely together. Okay, no one was drunk but we
girls just wanna have fun!
I would say this would be the best & craziest
CNY reunion dinner ever! We actually danced till we dropped on the floor and of
course footage will be shared here… ahahaahahahah… it might sound crazy but I am
already looking forward to our next year’s CNY reunion!

MuYoo
I chanced upon this new milk tea at Bedok
Mall and thought of trying it out. When I was at the counter, I noticed that
they have the Brown Sugar Milk drink too but so far haven’t heard about this
branding.
I casually asked the staff if the brown sugar
milk is tasty and she somehow gave me that look of unsure, no confidence,
clueless and full of question marks around her head. She paused for a while and
told me that their fruit drink is better…. Hahaahahahahah…
I am not a fan of artificial fruit drink so, I ordered
their milk tea instead. She gave me the confidence that their milk tea is good.
๐ I told her that I wanna take a pix of the drink and she was so kind to provide a cool carrier but I returned it after taking picture. ๐
I brought it home and tried it… it
wasn’t the best milk tea compared to the big names like Gong Cha, Koi and LiHo
but I think it’s okay in my opinion. Guess their fruit drinks are better… ๐

Our Babies’ First Day Of School In 2019
What a drag!!! It’s a brand-new school year for
the kiddos after a long holiday. Lady Faith is quite excited about school as
she will be having different classmates and she wasn’t sure what to expect. I assured
her in the morning before sending her off by telling her that no matter what
class she is in, she will still be able to hang out with her old classmates or
perhaps she will find new best friends in her new class.
As for little pumpkin, she is absolutely NOT
happy returning to school. She has been crying at school during the December holidays
and she somehow brought over the thought of going to school is such a drag!
I tried to console her and she was trying to
keep her tears but when we arrived at the school gate, she was holding my hands
tied crying her heart out. I tried so hard to reassure her that everything will
be fine and her classmates will be the same. With the help of the teachers, we
managed to get her off me and brought her to her classroom.
I went to check her out at the window and told
her to stop crying and I know she was trying so hard to keep her tears… guess
she will be fine after a while. ๐
Happy School Day Girls!

Brown Sugar Boba Milk Craze Continues
YUMZZ…. This Brown Sugar Boba Milk drink is a
trend in Singapore and man… there are so many different brands to choose from.
But which is the BEST in town?
Well, I am a great fan of milk and I am gonna
try them and give them some comments. For the first time, I am trying out this
R&B drink which was somehow in the top 10 list. Tracked it down and
realized that they have a branch near my place… WOOHOO!!!!
We drove down to Oasis Terrace Punggol and
found this little outlet at the corner and yes, there was a long queue (no surprise)
but it was pretty quick. When I collected my drink, the girl at the counter
informed me to give it a shake of 5 to 6 times or stir well before drinking and
I did what was told.
The first sip of pretty good and the bubble was
really QQ! It was quite a pity that I couldn’t reduce the sugar level as I thought
it was quite sweet for my liking. When I got home, half of my cup was gone and I
added some fresh milk from my fridge and it tasted better. Hahahahaha….
My verdict for R&B :- too sweet for my
liking but if you are not too fussy about sweetness, you can give it a go if
queue isn’t too long.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone and to all my faithful readers! May 2019 be a better year for you and your family. May it fill you with love, happiness, prosperity and good health always!
