Family Chalet Outing

Chalet is the most common word used during my school days and I am kinda missing it. I am feeling all excited again as I will be spending my weekend at the Chalet. Yippy..

It’s been ages since I last stayed over in a chalet with friends though we used to hang out at East Coast, Pasir Ris or even Sentosa. The most common chalet will be East Coast Park as it’s the most convenient for all. This time, it’s a family outing and infact; it’s the 1st time the whole family is getting together at the chalet. I am really excited.

Maggie, my sis-in-law who is a teacher booked the chalet at Aloha Loyang at a discounted price for the weekend. As we are only allowed to check in at 3pm, we went to get our groceries and stuff before checking in. It was pretty near Pasir Ris and Downtown East.

When we reached there, we checked ourselves in at the reception and finally, we went to our bungalow chalet. Wow… it was really huge. It’s a double storey terrace with 4-bedrooms and a backyard where the BBQ pit was. We have a separate dinning, living room and a spacey kitchen. It was well equipped with pots, pans, fridge, microwave oven, etc.. All bedrooms come with an attached bathroom and air-conditioned.

There was a multi-purposed court right outside our unit and it’s a stone throw away from the swimming pool. We even had the sea-view from our unit, which was a beautiful sight.

On Saturday night, we had BBQ for dinner and bro-in-law helped to start the fire for the pit which took him about 45 minutes. Food was enough for everyone and only a small number of left over food.

It’s mahjong time. We had the popular game for the adults and some games for the kids. It was a great spending the weekend with the family, as it’s what we called… Bonding!

My next plan is to organize the weekend stay at the chalet with my friends soon. Guess that should be fun as well coz’ it will remind us of our school days.
