Birthday Celebration

It’s my Love’s birthday today and I brought him to dine at Otto; one fine dinning restaurant that I like pretty much.

When we arrived, it was quite quiet on a Tuesday evening and only a couple of tables were filled. I would definitely prefer that as it actually made it more romantic and cozy… As soon as we were seated, the warm and friendly staff had our table set up immediately and brought us some water and bread.

Hubby was kind of lost when he saw the menu as he had no idea what to have and finally, I had the honor to decide. We ordered ‘Ripe Italian tomato, ‘Burratina’ cheese and ‘Pio Tosini’ Parma ham and Wagyu beef ‘Carpaccio’ with parmesan cheese and mushroom salad. I simply enjoyed Parma to the fullest though hubby thought otherwise. He found it too salty and wasn’t that special. However, he kind of like the Wagyu beef carpaccio.

While resting our stomach, our pasta arrived… we had Spaghetti with sea urchin and grey mullet bottarga which is one of my favorite. It was so good that I would like to take the chef home! Haahah…. It was hubby’s first time tasting sea urchin and he mentioned that it was weird but delicious… The ‘NOT’ in the menu Porchino mushroom Risotto was fantastic! It was the best Risotto ever!!! THUMPS UP UP UP UP UP!!!! The texture of the risotto was like baby food but was the EXTREMELY tasty ones.

Being over ambitious, we were too full to have any space for desserts; just sat there stunted! Hubby enjoyed the food pretty much except for his complain on the Parma Ham! Alright… no more Parma ham next time… will let him stick to his ‘HONEY BAKE HAM’…

It was indeed an enjoyable and romantic dinner with the lights dimmed and quiet environment. Hope you enjoy your simple birthday celebration.

Happy Birthday baby and Love you always…*muaks*
