CNY Third Day

Time flies and it’s already the third day of CNY. Our visitations for families are done and now it’s visitation to friends’ place.

We are ready to visit hubby’s friend’s place for a steamboat tonight and as usual, we will prepare desserts. In the past, hubby’s friends’ visitation is just a few floors up as we stayed in the same block of flats. This year, Eric will be the host for the party instead.

The wonderful couple Eric and José are one of his friends whom I have topics to chat with them about especially José. I would regard her as one of those that inspired me on how she teaches her children and the way she led a super healthy lifestyle. She is currently pregnant with her third child despite of her age and she is really brave in terms of delivery. She is so far the only one whom I know who would refuse to know the sex of the child during pregnancy and would prefers to deliver her child via REALLY natural birth.

Anyway, they prepared such a spread for steamboat which includes homemade roast pork! Yes, ROAST PORK… she told me how easy it was to prepare and to make… the verdict… it tasted GREAT! There were also abalones and fresh scallops too… super generous!

Faith was initially shy to play with the other kiddos but we became totally invisible just after a few minutes when one of hubby’s friends arrived with 3 daughters. They were playing from cooking to dolls and even joined in for hide and seek later part of the evening.
The gathering was certainly an enjoyable one for both young and old. It was great to catch up with friends especially for hubby who seldom hang out with them due to his work commitment.

Thank you Eric and Jose for having us today!
