However, it started to rain heavily when we arrived
at Ocean Park but we were still able to enter the park with our raincoats and
umbrellas. The park was filled with people and we found out that many rides
were closed. We checked with the staff and found out that the rides will
remained closed till further notice due to the typhoon. DAMN…. It was
disappointing but we continue to wait.
We walked around the park and found a place where
the kids can at least have some fun. Well, it’s all about spending money to win
some prizes. We stayed to play the ticum ticum for a while and then went to
have our lunch at the Panda Café.
After lunch, we went to check out if the rides are
open but to our disappointment, it remained closed. Hubby brought little Emma
back to hotel as she was tired and fell asleep while we decided to go shopping
instead since rides are not available for the day.
We headed down to causeway bay for some shopping
and we even went for an afternoon tea break. Though it was mentioned that there
will be a big typhoon tonight we remained calm and continue to enjoy our tea
break.
Since there was a warning that the typhoon no. 8
will be visiting HK tonight and tried to avoid getting ourselves in that
situation, we hurried back to hotel. True enough, the rain got heavier and it
did not stop there… the wind was so strong that we could hear howling sound in
our room which was quite frightening. This is something we had never
experienced in Singapore and we were glad that we are safe in our hotel room.
Man… I am thankful that we will not experience such
weather back home!
