It was a quick ferry ride of 30 minutes from
Singapore and we arrived to Batam, Indonesia and were picked up by the hotel
staff to the hotel right away. The resort is about 10 minutes away from the
ferry terminal and we were lucky that we did not need to wait long for our room
to be ready.
As this is mum’s first visit to Montigo, she was
amazed by how huge the room was and told us that it was too big for just 5 of
us. She liked the resort as she mentioned that it was quiet and comfortable. I arranged
a cream bath for her but unfortunately, it wasn’t available as the spa is going
through renovation. The treatments available were massages only but mum wasn’t
keen on that.
The kiddos wasted no time after check-in and
started to get changed and plunged into the pool. They were so excited but we
were happy that they are having fun. While mum watched her grand-kids swim in
the pool, we checked out restaurants for our dinner.
We decided to dine at the seafood restaurant where
they served pretty good food in my opinion where price is reasonable. It was
cozy but surprisingly to see many Singaporeans dining in this restaurant too.
Most of them came in big family and some perhaps were friends.
After dinner, we headed back to our room to rest
since we will be having a long day ahead of us tomorrow. It’s time to recharge
and sleep.
