Little Hawaii Of Japan, Here We COME!

I have always wanted to visit this beautiful island after watching the Hong Kong TVB drama and been telling hubby about how lovely this island but we didn’t get the chance till today! WOOHOO!!!!

This island is not so commercialized yet so, there are limited flights to choose from. We were booked on Jetstar which is the only airline that flies direct. We had no other choice but to take this past midnight flight though we were extremely reluctant!

We arrived at the airport shyly before midnight and got ourselves checked in so that we can be luggage free to take some rest while waiting for boarding. The kids were pretty much awake at the time thanks to the airport where they have stuff to entertain or keep our kids awake… hahahahahah…
Hubby and I were feeling tired and sleepy so we decided to chill at the Starbucks for a cup of latte since we have another 1 hour to wait. Though our kids were tired, I was very sure that their excitement had taken over their tiredness.

Finally, the kids dozed off almost immediately after the plane took off. Hubby and I managed to take some small naps though we were woken up for our meals in between.  I was really thankful that the flight was about 4 hours 30 minutes and it should be morning when we arrived.

Okinawa, we are COMING….

Hello Pool!

Came to support Lady Faith for her school swimming lesson and as usual, she was happy to see me seated near the poolside.

After sending her off, I went to take a dip in the pool as the weather was too good to resist. I would say that morning swim is one of the best as there is lesser crowd and you have the pool to yourself. It’s been a long time since I last swam and I hope I will be able to complete my laps.
Well… yes, I managed to complete my lap swim and I began to enjoy the morning sun which I have missed for a long long time due to work commitments. Now, I finally have my own time to take the dip in the morning and soaking up in the sun. mmmmh…. Wonderful ME TIME!

Wall Rope Yoga

It’s been almost a year practicing Wall Rope Yoga with my bud Linda who is a senior yogi now. I remembered it was such a nightmare on my 1st visit as it was pretty tough compared to the normal or basic yoga I tried in the past.

The 10 minutes of warming up with light stretching to the sun salutations were nightmares and not forgetting those severe body aches the following days. I am actually happy to see body reacts pretty well today to the warm ups and the sun salutations (though I am not really liking it) and I am able to ease through them and also some of the stretches.

I always believed that it will take effort for everything and exercise is one of them. With regular practice, I am pretty sure I will be able to some stretches which never occurs to me in the past and today, I managed to make it to some. 😊
Thanks to Linda who introduced this cool workout which is tough but yet fun at the same time as the master was really funny at times. Let’s Yoga!

One Of Those Times

It has been pretty much routine after I quit my job. Many asked what I have been doing since I am no longer in the working world.

Well, I have been enjoying my time with my mum and taking her out for breakfast almost every day. I am never a breakfast person but I wouldn’t mind spending time at the local coffee joints with mum for her daily breakie. 😊
Mmmh… I got to say that the coffee at Ya Kun is really nice though my heart is still with Starbucks. 😊 Come join us if you have time yea...

CNY Dinner With My Buds

We planned to have a CNY Lo Hei with our peeps but ended up only 3 of us available for this date while the rest are busy with their own engagements.

Well, with the love for food, we continued to have our Lo Hei even just the three of us. Haahahahah… okay, we are greedy and we have been craving for the food at East Ocean for a long time so, we are here today to satisfy our craves… hahaahahahahaah

We left it for Vivian to place the orders as she is considered the regular customer compared to both Theresa & myself. We always trust her choice of food and indeed, she ordered pretty tasty food besides the healthy Yusheng.

East Ocean served up quite a delicious Yusheng which is very healthy too. They used organic ingredients for the Yusheng and everything is vegetables… okay, like a salad but with smoked salmon. Something different from the usual Yusheng and it was really appetizing which I can’t stop taking more servings even when other dishes were served.
Besides the braised duck and pig intestines, we ordered vegs and the oyster porridge was super tasty! This is my first time trying the oyster porridge and man… I simply fell in love at first spoon. It tasted so good though it looked normal.
I am definitely coming back for the porridge soon and I hope to bring along my family as I trust that they too will enjoy this dish as much as I do. Thumps Up!

My Sister, My Friend

Lady Faith volunteered to accompany me to pick her sister today and was all excited to see her lil sis. She was asking me if I can imagine how happy her sister will be when she sees her big sister picking her up from school.

Indeed, Emma’s face lighted up the moment her sister surprised her at the gate. Little Em gave a wide smile as she called out for her sister. It was quite dramatic but super sweet when they hugged immediately when Emma stepped out.
I love the sight of them loving each other as they can be really sweet. However, there are often when they fight and told each other off over a toy or something else. It can be quite a nightmare whenever they fight or have cold war for a couple of minutes. :)

I really hope that they will grow to love one another as nothing is more precious than family. Love you girls…

Lady Faith’s School Swimming Lessons

It’s been a few weeks since they started this swimming lessons organized by her school. I have been wanting to pay a visit but I wasn’t able as I was at work and tied up with CNY preparations.

Today, hubby & I made it to the pool to show her some support and indeed, she was thrilled to see us. We sat by the side of the pool watching her enjoying her swim in the morning with her school friends was a real joy.

On this fifth lesson, the coach was teaching them the life saving technics and testing them if they can trap water and correcting their strokes when they swim. Though he was very calm and lenient, I do hope that our child will learn some skill out of it.
We were glad that Lady Faith introduced some of her classmates to us and they were a bunch of cuties. They were more than happy for pictures when I held up my phone… hahahahaah… super cute bunch of girls! Mmmh…. Guess that’s the beauty of a all-girls school.
It reminded me of my school days...
