Maternity Leave Celebration

As you guys already know that I will be popping pretty soon and today being the last day of work for me, my boss arranged this wonderful maternity leave celebration for me… :0)

We went to dine at Pietrasanta located at Portsdown Road and I am sure that I will be enjoying some of my favourite foods before I confinement for the next 1 month. I am not sure when will baby girl arrives and certainly hope not tonight…

We ordered many of our favourite dishes like the calamari, cold cuts and white wine as our starters. It was a super relaxing evening for me as I will be on leave from next week till I return to work in March. I am going to feast out like no tomorrow…. Hahahaahah
As for entries, I ordered squid inked pasta, risotto, arabiatta to share and boss ordered more wines too. We had the roast chicken for our mains and at this time, boss ordered another round of calamari as it was so tasty!
Though we had so much food to stomach in but we had to eat the desserts to end this super wonderful dinner. We ordered the creme brulee, panacotta as well as the lava cake. I simply love the creme brulee not because I am pregnant but it was really really DELICIOUS!!!
We enjoyed the food, wine and as well as the lively, funny conversation with each other. I am sure I will be missing these guys though I can’t wait to be on leave… hahaahahah

Disney ‘LIVE’

Faith has been a great fan of princesses and fairies since she was about 3 years old when she got her hands on iPad.

I have always wanted to bring her for Disney On Ice but somehow it failed twice so, I wouldn’t want to let her down this time when Disney ‘Live’ came to Singapore and what’s best… they included the 3 princesses stories…

I planned it with my sister-in-laws as it will be fun to watch it together with her cousins. We went for the afternoon show and man... it was a total sell out. The seats I chose were pretty good for that expensive tickets but I am happy that our view was clear and we had the six seats all by ourselves. J

The show was not too bad started off with the story of snow white and followed by Cinderella. After a 15 minutes interval, the show continued with The Beauty and The Beast which I thought was the best among the 3 stories.

Faith enjoyed herself so much that she wanted to watch it again and I guess we will be going for the Disney On Ice next… J

Go Italian

Boss is expecting some VIPs next week and he invited us to inspect the Italian restaurant which he is planning to take his guest. Today, we are here at Oso Ristorante expecting for a good feast out… J

I was asked to ‘study’ the menu while my boss checks out the wine collection at their wine cellar. I browsed through the menu and selected some of their signature & our favourite dishes. I went with a selection of cold cuts of course and followed by 2 pastas & 1 risotto.

The cold cuts were good and portion was great for the four of us. Pastas tasted as good as it looked but I thought the risotto was slightly salty though it was equally good. Then our main dish cod fish was served shortly and I would give it a 7/10.
As for desserts, we had tiramisu, panacotta and 2 flavours of ice-cream. The tiramisu was really good in my opinion and so was the panacotta. I would say that I would really be satisfied if they have crème brulee too…

We had fabulous luncheon indeed and I am sure we will be back again for dinner soon. J

Site Inspection At Fullerton Bay Hotel

This is one hotel that I have always wanted to view after reading and hearing so much about it through friends, media & even clients. Jessica kindly arranged the site inspection soonest before I take my maternity leave.

Monica who is our Sales Manager waited for us at the lobby when we arrived and started showing us around the property. It gave me the feel that I was in a cruise ship rather than hotel. The design was nice and cozy indeed. The rooms were great though not too spacious for the high price we expect to pay…

After a quick site inspection, Monica invited us to dine at their newly revamped café, The Clifford Pier which served local cuisines. We were given the green light to order anything or infact everything on the menu… hahahaha…but of course, we ordered what we wanted to try and some to share.

I would say that the food served at The Clifford Pier was ordinary and nothing really special about it. I tasted better local cuisines at other hotels and I think they should add more interesting items on their menu such as Nasi Briyani, Dim Sums etc…

I like the hotel overall though I would minus the food unless they improve…hahahahaah

My Pre-Natal Shoot

I enjoyed having this pre-natal shoot when I was pregnant with Faith and now, I am doing it again for Emma. I was really lucky to have Belle & David to take charge of the shoot as I know they will do a great  job!

This is somehow different as we have included Faith to be in the shoot as she will soon have a little sister and she is really excited about it. She was initially very happy to be involved but guess after a while, she got bored and refused to take more pictures.

I am really happy that the pictures turned out to be so beautiful and I simply loved it! Thank you Belle & David for taking your time to do the shoot for us!

An Evening With The Horses

Knowing that our little one loves to watch ‘My Little Pony’, I was very sure that she’s gonna love watching the horses performs ‘LIVE’. So, I bought tickets to watch Cavalia which was held at MBS.

We took a train to MBS since parking there was ridiculously expensive. The event venue was tented up and simply excited when we arrived. Faith was thrilled to see the posters leading to the gates and we were asked to hurry up!!

As we entered the tents, the first stop was the souvenir area where you can find everything about horses in Cavalia. We tried to stop her from buying but failed… we bought her a pony which was somehow one of the more affordable items among the rest.

After climbing up some flights of stairs, we were finally seated and view was not too bad though we were seated at the far right side of the stage. Faith began to get excited as soon as she saw the horses came out of sudden. She kept telling us… ‘Mummy, look at the horses...aren’t they pretty?’

This is one show that was pretty worth watching as the stunts were fantastic, dangerous and some are mind blowing… though it was about less than 2 hours show, I thought it was really enjoyable to watch how well they trained their horses. Thumps UP!

Family Bonding In JB

We planned to have family holiday to Taiwan this December but we had to cancel due to the arrival of our second child. Since my EDD will be in December, we decided to have a family bonding session earlier.

We decided on heading to Hello Kitty Town once again for the kiddos and it will be more relaxing for our elderly to chill and spend time with their grandkids.

We set off early after breakfast to beat the crowd at the custom but somehow it was crowded too. The kiddos were excited to get into HK Town so we headed down immediately while hubby and Sheryl took care of the elderly at coffee shops.

We tried to accommodate the kiddos with most of the rides and activities as much as possible so that we can be on time for our lunch.

Faith enjoyed herself so much with her cousins, taking most of the rides and watching the ‘Live’ shows which featured Barney (one of her favourites). All the kids were very spontaneous as they danced and sang along.

After our lunch, we checked ourselves into Traders’ Hotel and we got to chill out at the pool before heading off for dinner.
