Lady Faith’s First Reconciliation

I clearly remembered the day when Lady Faith was baptized at the Church of Divine Mercy at the tender age of 8 months old. She screamed so loud in church when the priest baptized her in the baptism pool and at that time, I was really nervous.

As she grows, she learnt about the Catholic Faith and now currently taking catechism classes weekly in church. We were really happy with her progress as she is able to recite all the prayers we have taught her and she is truly a blessed gift from above.

Now she has grown into a young lady and is ready for her first reconciliation. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism. Jesus Christ, in His abundant love and mercy, established the Sacrament of Confession, so that we as sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and reconcile with God and the Church. The sacrament “washes us clean,” and renews us in Christ.

We are very proud of her and happy that she went through this sacrament. We will be looking forward to her for her next sacrament next year.
After her reconciliation, the kids were having potluck party at the church canteen and Lady Faith told me sadly that she didn’t get to eat my brownies or muffins as they were all gone when she went down to the canteen. I was happy to hear that and replied to her that I have left some for her at home. 😊

Thank you God for the wonderful opportunity for Lady Faith to bless with this beautiful sacrament. May you continue to watch over her and protect her always.
