We decided to do potluck style. We prepared
some food on our end and the rest brought theirs. As usual, we had more than
enough for the whole village to feed. It was really quite a spread of varieties
of food and it was somehow impossible to finish all.
I baked and made some new desserts for the crowd
and I was happy to receive good feedback from everyone. The chocolate cup
desserts were quite a popular dessert and it was almost gone by the time my
family arrived in the late afternoon to join the party.
My parents in law had so much fun playing mahjong
with Linda and Florence while the kids hang out with Mizuki and the rest of us
just sat and chat the day away.
Though it was a simple gathering at our place but
it was certainly enjoyable and precious time spent together. I do hope we can
have more of such gathering in the near future to keep close bonding with one
another.
