The birthday girl Linda invited us to her house for
an early birthday celebration for herself! It’s about 2 weeks before her actual
birthday and she preferred to have it done at her place this time for her
helper will be returning to Indonesia in September.
We did potluck style as it will be too much for the
birthday girl to prepare everything for us. Some of us brought roast duck;
Teriyaki chicken wings, dim sums, takoyaki, fruits, wine and I baked a cake for
her birthday. Knowing that she is a great fan of chocolate, I baked her favorite
of course.
It was a good opportunity for all the kiddos to
hang out while the adults enjoyed the good food. It was really great to catch
up with friends and colleagues whom we don’t get to talk or meet even though we
are housed in the same office.
Linda was happy to spend time with us and man… she
is a great host!! Always making sure that we have enough drinks and food;
entertaining the kiddos and checking out the babies too… THUMPS UP!
