I am really thankful to Shar Shar who assisted my work during my maternity leave and she has done a great job keeping everything in order. Thumps Up!
She is such a sweet and bubbly girl who brings smile to office everyday. Today, being her last day, we planned a farewell lunch for her. Leng ordered dishes from Chin Chin and went to pick it up. Shar was really happy and touched that we prepared a simple farewell lunch for her.
Shar, thanks for your help during this 3 months plus and it's indeed a great pleasure working with you. I will be missing you in the office but I am confident that we will be keeping in touch and please join us for our crazy gatherings.

My Last Respect Paid
After the news of the Lying In State was announced, many Singaporeans started flooding into The Parliament House to pay their last respect to our Founding Father. Me, no exceptional went to queue with my clan this morning.
Initially it started off when I asked my boss for permission to leave office to pay my last respect to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew but in return, he said that we should all go together. I simply respect him for that as he is not Singaporean but Japanese and yet he wants to go to pay respect to a leader whom did not rule his country... Thumps Up Boss!!!
Heard from Sam Sam who queued for a few hours just to get her respect paid and was worried about the queue as the news mentioned that many more Singaporeans will be heading for the queue soon. We set off in the mid morning and when we arrived at Padang where the queue starts, there were already tons of people in line.
It was somehow very organised and many army officers were there to show us the way leading to the queue. Though the sun scorching hot but there were tents built, water and sweets give out. We saw some ministers who came by to shake our hands and thank us for queuing up. It was a nice gesture and I felt really proud to be a Singaporean.
After queuing for about two and fifteen minutes, we finally paid our last respect. I did not expect that my first time on the Parliament ground is to pay respect to a great man! I couldn't hold back my tears when I saw his cottage and said a short prayer when I bowed. Truly thankful for this Great Man who built Singapore and provided the best for his people.
Rest in peace and take your rest. God bless your soul!

Nation’s Saddest Day
I received the news from hubby this early morning that our founding Father Lee Kuan Yew has passed away. I was really stunned by the news though I knew that was coming since he was reported to be very sick for more than a month.
I couldn't hold back my tears while I was feeding Emma and it suddenly reminded me that how lucky and blessed we were to have him to rule our little country. If it's not for him, we will not be known and we will not be having a peaceful living compared to other countries.
I went to work with a heavy heart and I am sure most Singaporeans felt the same too as if we have lost a part of our flesh. I followed the news and waited for the announcement to pay our last respect etc..
Our GM called for an urgent gathering in a meeting room to announce the sad news and also informed us that the company encourages staff to pay their last respects. I thought that was nice and we should as he is our Founding Father!

Dinosaur Balloon Extravaganza
I chanced upon Dinosaur Balloon Extravaganza while I was searching a gift for our guest and today, I am happy to have brought Faith to this event.
When we arrived, Faith was really thrilled to see 10 dinosaur balloon sculptures of various shapes and sizes have taken over Marina Square's Central Atrium. They were really huge and the colours were so beautiful.Apart from the gigantic dinos, there were pretty flowers and other cute little balloon sculptures like small gardens and trees. Not only did it excite the kiddos, we adults were blown away too.
My Little Pumpkin Pie
Oh how I am missing my little pumpkin pie when I am at work. She is kind of different from her sister as she is more playful and enjoyed playtime with me... she is cheeky and simply made her laugh with her when she starts to giggle...

Faith’s School Outing
I am happy
that Faith’s school has been organizing field trips for their students lately
and many of which were educational. This time, I am able to join her for her
field trips to Jacob Bellas which is located in Botanic Gardens.
It’s been
awhile since I joined her for her school outing. I trusted that the last one
was trip to the zoo or something similar… the school catered coach to
accommodate all parents and students and it was quite fun.
Before heading
up the coach, the principal spoke to them and told them the rules they have to
follow during the trip and I was really happy that the school is instructing
the kids correctly and they actually listened… J thumps up!
When we
arrived at Jacob Bellas, though the kids were excited but they were quiet and
somehow behaved. Many parents turned up for the outing too and I think it’s
really a good opportunity to bond with your child.
The children
garden is pretty nice and they even had a dry playground and a water playground
which made the kids even more excited. We walked through the garden and the
teacher explained about the plants to them and it was somehow a touch and learns
experience.
As it was a
Friday and the garden was somehow filled with many other school kids and time
was limited for them to play at the water playground. I guess even for 5
minutes, it will make the kids happier than ever.
Then we went
to this huge shaded ground where the teachers distributed the luncheon for
everyone. The kids were hungry and most of them started eating the moment they
had their lunch boxes on hand. Even Faith, the picky eater also started eating
and did not waste much food and that made me very happy!
It was indeed
a great outing and I do thank the school for organizing it. I will be looking
forward to more outings in the near future.

Hi-Tea Gathering
I am happy to join the hi-tea session just before
heading back to work after 3 months plus rest at home. Well, if you asked me if
I am looking forward to be back to work… it was a definite NO!
We tried to meet up to catch up and keep the bond
close but at times, it can be difficult. I am happy that everyone takes the
effort to meet despite our own busy schedule. Yes, we are back to Rose Vernada,
Shangri-La Hotel once again as we enjoyed the spread.
This time, we are happy to welcome Yan Ting to our
group of ‘Tai Tai wannabes’ and it was a great meet up for all with good spread
of food and chats. While we were enjoying our food, we were already talking and
trying to fix the next round… hahaahahaha… yes, that’s how greedy we are!
I wished I could stay longer to catch up but had to
pick up Faith from school so, we ended our session slightly earlier than usual…
hahaahahah it’s alright, there is always a next round…. Right?
