Arrival Of Faith Tabitha

This is one exciting morning when I went to KK Hospital with hubby. I wasn’t sure if my baby will be delivered today but somehow I was excited and nervous at the same time.

On our way to the hospital, I was praying for a smooth and speedy delivery; at the same time, I was really in fear… as I have no idea what will be happening. Anyway, the usual journey to KK was extremely fast as the traffic was unusually SMOOTH!

When I arrived at the Delivery Suite, my heart was pounding and man… I thought my heart is almost popping out! The nurse brought me to the observation room and got me induced… while waiting for the medication to work on me… I was playing games with friends to get myself distracted! When the nurse came and checked on me, she told me that I was already 2.5cm dilated. Not long after, I was sent up to my room to rest and they continued to monitor me.

When evening came, the nurse was back and sent me down to check on my dilation. At that moment, the nurse was surprised that I wasn’t feeling any pain when she found out that I was already 3.5cm dilated. I was then sent to Labour Ward and the doctor broke my water bag to get the contraction going…

I wasn’t that hero and I immediately asked for epidural to avoid the pain! It wasn’t long after when I was in labour… however, I didn’t feel the pain at all and was still playing my game on iPhone and watching American Idol!!! Hahahaahah…. Then while I was half way watching American Idol, I suddenly felt a terrible pain at my tummy and YES, like all my friends told me… MENSES CRAMP but 100 Times!!! For that moment, I thought the epidural had finished!! I started to add another dose to it and I felt better after that.

At about 11:20pm, the nurse came and checked on me, told me that I was already fully dilated and it’s time to try pushing. It was then when I started a practice pushing session and it went quite well after about 20 minutes. I didn’t give up and started to push when the monitor indicated I had contraction.

Little Faith finally arrived after 1 hour of pushing!! I was relieved when I felt her out of my tummy and overjoyed to see little Faith staring at me… it was indeed a wonderful feeling.

Pre-Birthday Celebration

Our dear friend Rie will be starting her ‘honeymoon’ leave from tomorrow and we decided to throw her a small birthday party in our very own ‘private room’….Aiya, it’s our own office meeting room la!

Anyway, we shared and bought her favorite cakes from Bakerzin. About slightly past tea time, we had this short party for her. Though it was only just the few of us but it was warm and something to remember.

Enjoy your long holiday Ah K and see you when I pop….

Happy Mother’s Day

This year’s Mother’s Day celebration was really something meaningful to me as I was also celebrating it in advance…

We went to Beng Hiang for our Mother’s Day dinner, a restaurant that is pretty well-liked by the family. Hubby ordered the usual favorites and man… they served really fast!

The cold dish was great… especially the fried egg and the prawn rolls. Though it was simple but it was really delicious! The fish maw soup was my all time favorite in that restaurant. Yam ring and the roast chicken were delicious too. mmmh…. there were more dishes but I was too busy enjoying the food and forgotten about the pictures…hahahaahahah

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Birthday Beautiful

My warmest and bestest birthday wishes going out to my beloved God-daughter Linda! May you be blessed with lots of Love and Happiness with people around you always. Have a great and blessed birthday!

Love Ya...

Alpha Holy Spirit Weekend

It was a very hot afternoon when I went to church to serve at Alpha’s Holy Spirit Weekend. This is one really meaningful weekend as I usually get touched by the Holy Spirit through praise & worship.

I specially enjoyed the agape meal where we had ‘bread & wine’ after Father Anthony gave a short message after the gospel reading. I enjoyed that moment coz it symbolized our Lord Jesus and then came the lighting of the candle which symbolized Christ being our Light.

I remembered I was touched by the Holy Spirit when I was serving Alpha 11 or 12 while we were singing praise to our Lord. I actually felt cold air at my feet (by the way, I was wearing jeans and sneakers then) where there were no fans around! It was an amazing feeling indeed.

This time, I felt a hot flush down my spine and I started to sweat! The air-cons were on but I was still sweating and guess that was the Holy Spirit…

The evening ended with the ever funny entertainment night where all the groups have to put up an item. I got to say that this time, all the groups were spotting and I particularly enjoyed the performance by the host and helpers… it was really fun!

Chilling@Work

It was a cooling Thursday evening and almost time to knock off... both Linda & I were chilling and were checking out the Isetan sale brochures.

We were so engrossed in our conversation that we did not notice our boss was at his desk… but anyway, who cares right… it’s almost knocking off time!!!

Baby Shower

I have never known what Baby Shower is all about until my buddy decided to organize one for me. Theresa & family kindly planned the party for me and baby at their cozy home at Toa Payoh.

When I arrived in the afternoon, I was really amazed how pretty she had decorated the hall and balcony just for the party. It wasn’t a big party but more of close friends gathering and spending time together before I pop! The theme was Pink & White…. Simply beautiful!

I can’t help but noticed that there were cupcakes, childhood biscuits, mini lollipops and strawberry pocky beautifully displayed on the kitchen counter. Yes, they were all in PINK and WHITE.

When everyone arrived, we sat down at the living area to chat about everything and anything. The adults also started playing WII games and became very competitive!! It was really hilarious to see Tricia playing tennis with Ethan…

The afternoon passed so fast when you are having so much fun with your buddies and after preparing meals for the kiddos, the adults went dinner at Mellben Seafood which was opposite her house. The dinner was great and as usual… lots of laughter!

Before heading back to their home, we bought durians as our desserts though we were really full! Usual lah… we were just being greedy! The durians were not too bad and though I had only one seed! Sighz… it was pathetic!

While we were leaving for the night, as usual, we started taking pictures and posing with our famous silly but cool poses!! This time, it was the kiddos and husbands waiting for the wives rather than the other way round!!!

Thanks family and friends for the wonderful party which I will tell baby about in the future… luv you guyz…
