Dinner Gathering At HRC

I always believed that friends are for life and not for that short moment. I am truly blessed with many good friends around me whom I treasure very much therefore, I will try to make time to meet up with them.

Today, I am happy to meet up with my ex-colleagues whom I called them my friends or perhaps an extended family member. I am very glad that we continue to be keep close contact though I am already out of the nightmare company! Hahahahaah…. OOpppsss!!!

Headed down to HRC for dinner and initially, they were wondering what is HRC… hahaahahah… Okay, in case you are not aware too… it’s Hard Rock Café! This place has been here for as long as I know and it reminded me of those good old school days where my crazy buds & I queued for hours for dinner and stayed for their disco. 

It was a total different feeling coming again for dinner with my pals whom never been here for dinner but I was happy that they are enjoying the place, food and their music. They trusted me and gave me the green light to order the food to share and I was happy that they enjoyed all the dishes.

We had lots of fun catching up and as usual, our outing will never be a quiet one but filled with laughter. We too were able to enjoy the live band “Jive Talking” and they were as good after many years. Thumps up indeed!

Though we only met up for dinner session but it was good enough for us to catch up and at least spend some time together. Can’t wait for the next session yea..

Desserts For My Exs

Whenever I tried to bake something new, I definitely want my ex-colleagues or friends to taste so that I can get feedback for improvement.

I arranged luncheon with my buddies whom I missed so much and we had so much fun chatting over luncheon and finally headed to the office to visit the rest of my ex-colleagues. Actually, I felt that I have never left that office coz’ they treated me the same and it felt like I was on long leave.

They were happy to receive the desserts from me each time I visit them and feedbacks from them were pretty good… so happy that they are enjoying the desserts I bring to them. 

Thank you pals for believing in me and supporting me in my baking. You guys are the one who made my baking diary fuller.

‘’Save My Sea Friends’’

Our Lady Faith was given a task to design a poster relating to the saving the sea after returning from a learning journey event to S.E.A Aquarium. She was all excited about it and discussed with me on what she wanted to draw and how the poster will turn out.

I remembered we sat down at the study room and after listening to her ideas, I gave her a piece of paper to draft out her poster and told her that we had to think of a slogan before pencil down all the marine creatures. After a short discussion, we came out with the slogan ‘Save My Sea Friends’.

I left her to draw the sea creatures and I did helped her with some corrections on some of her creatures but mostly were done by her. After having all the sea creatures drawn, she started to add colours to them and I was really happy and proud of her upon seeing her completed poster. It was pretty!

A week later, she informed me that her poster was chosen by her teacher and was displayed in the school notice board alongside with some from other classes. I was really happy that she was able to achieve such recognition. 

I couldn’t be much happier or prouder of her today when she came home jumping on her feet telling me that she was awarded by the school for her poster being chosen for one of the best designs. I was filled with joy and lost of words with her achievement.

Now I am happy that I do have an artist at home who has a creative mind to draw me a picture if I am down. Thumps Up sweetheart!

Rope Yoga

I have been quite lazy to attend Rope Yoga lately but decided to get back in shape since I have more time for myself and my kiddos.

Leng & I were glad that Theresa was able to join us for the session today after many invitations… hahahaahah… Well, it was Theresa’s first time doing the Rope Yoga and yes, it was pretty much strange to her but she managed to pull through though the Sun Salutation was way too tiring for us, let alone the 1^st timers.

It was an hour of fun and laughter and we certainly enjoyed the workshop as well as the companionship of friends. Working out with friends usually is much better than you work out alone.

Well done Za for 1^st time!! WOOhoo!!!

Lady Faith’s Ballet Examination

It’s another year of Ballet Examination and after 9 months of hardwork and training every Sunday evening, it will all come down to this one important examination.

Today, she did not attend school and I brought her for the exam this morning. She was definitely very worried and nervous but I tried to calm her down and told her that she will be fine. She gave a smile but noticed that it wasn’t the sunshine smile she usually gave…

When we arrived at the waiting room at Punggol CC, I noticed that the teachers were already there and helping the girls to touch up their hairdo and getting them to warm up themselves before their examination time.

I left for breakfast since it will take about an hour or so. There isn’t much to do at Hougang Mall as it was way too early for anything. I sat at Starbucks and chilled and went back to the test centre when it was about time.

When I arrived, I was happy to meet one of the girl’s parent and we sat to chat in the waiting room since the girls were still in the main examination room. After a short while, our girls returned from their exams and I could see the relief on Faith’s face. She appeared so relax and happy that her exam was finally over.  

Ms. Tan returned and took a couple of pictures with the girls and off we go. I am so proud of Faith for brave enough to take up the examination once again and I do hope it will helped her to boost her self-confidence in front of others.
