Fire Drill

It’s one of those times where our office building had a fire drill exercise and like the usual years… most of us were informed what time the fire alarm will be sounded.

This year, my pals & I decided to stay in the office instead of getting out of office for coffee breaks or some will take this opportunity to do some shopping. Before the fire alarm was activated, most of my colleagues were gone… there were only a few of us left in the office and that was where the fun started.

Finally, the alarm was activated around 4pm and the office was almost empty. The bosses were having their department head meeting and some other bosses were out for meeting. We were all left alone!!

We started to do silly things like taking pictures and we were cracking jokes… it was at least about one hour of fun!!! We were hoping that the bosses will never be around so that it will be a more relax environment… hahhaahaa

Family Shoot

I have always wanted to have a family shoot and I thank God that I have two great photographers who takes beautiful pictures.

I arranged a family shoot with Belinda & David; they chose Raffles Place as the venue as we wanted to have an outdoor shoot rather than the boring studio. I thought it would be really fun to have the family out and taking beautiful pictures.

Earlier this evening, we arrived at Raffles Place and saw Belle setting up their cool equipments and adjusting all the lights. I was really excited and did a few test shots for her. Maggie & Amos arrived shortly and they too were shocked by the scene.

When everyone arrived, we started the shoot right away after doing a few more test shots. Sheryl and family had a great time posing and the kids were having fun! Amos & Maggie were enjoying themselves, parents were high!!!

It was one fun photo shoot indeed and we were really happy to find our pictures were beautifully taken!

Thank you Belle & David, Great JOB!

Another Durian Feast

Steven kindly arranged another durian feast for us before the end of GOOD durian season. Right after work, we went dinner at Neil Road for Sichuan cuisine and it happened to be my Partner-in-crime Joanna’s husband’s family shop…

Hubby & I used to dine there as we loved the Xiao Long Bao there… it’s extremely juicy and delicious! Anyway, Steven ordered pan-fried dumplings, steam xiao long bao, and the Chinese pancake… mmh… everything was simply yummy!

It was our only time for our stomach to digest the food during the ride to Serangoon for the main dish of the night. When we arrived, the durian place wasn’t crowded but full of durians…. Hahahaah… as usual, Susan became excited and started to check out the durian desserts at their shop… planning to buy some home.

We ordered quite a lot of durians and only one or two were sweet. The rest were bitter and bitter-sweet. The sweet durians were great man… and as I am typing this blog, I am drooling away…. I would say… thankfully there were Philip and Lance to help finish some of the durians or else we will have to bring them back…

As a tradition, Steven ordered mangosteens to balance off the heat from the durians… guess these two fruits have to be eaten together…

Lunch At Domvs

We are expecting VIP guest in October and boss invited us to try out Italian food at Domvs located at Sheraton Towers.

When we arrived, it was really quiet and for a moment, we thought the business wasn’t that good as we were the only ones in the dining hall. The restaurant’s décor was really chic and very comfortable.

Boss ordered set lunch for us and it was a three course luncheon. We ordered different appetizers, mains and desserts. For appetizers, the salad was really nice, simply love the sauce and I enjoyed my deep fried cheese dippers. Boss had the mixture of hams and it was nice too…

As for pasta, I thought they were normal. The taste wasn’t special and sadly, I didn’t have a deep impression of it. I thought the pasta at Otto was far more delicious and creative.

Now the dessert, it was caramel pudding and to my surprise, it tasted good!! It wasn’t as sweet as I thought and Yes, I enjoyed it.

As for returning to Domvs for another meal, mmmmh… maybe not.
