Back to School

It’s been such a long time since I was involved in school events and activities. My buddy Susan recalled me to help out for her project at our school Food & Funfair.

It was a SUPER rare Saturday morning to find me up and awake as early as 7:30am! Yes, I got up early to wait for Vivian’s taxi as we were heading back to SCHOOL! We were kind of clueless of what we were supposed to help at the funfair though we know that we were assigned to be at the Haunted House.

When we reached around 9:30am, we were surprised to see a long queue outside the Haunted House of ’91. The queue was full of primary school kids and their parents. It was quite an awesome sight to be honest as Susan and her girls put them so much effort to decorate the classroom.

Vivian & me managed to enter the ‘Haunted House’ by the back door and were laughing at those kids who were trying their best to walk through the place with those ‘Ghost’. They were screaming their lungs out and some were brave enough to get through quietly. Both of us were figuring out how to make it even more ‘scary’ so that more people will queue to experience it. We changed some of the set up and with the help of those UV lights and smoke machine, the effect were much greater than what our class did back in 1991!

The only minus point was the ‘ghost’ switched their position too often and even had their mask changed when some of the students were in the room. We thought that was not too professional and got Susan to inform the girls to stay put at their own positions. Well, after that scolding, it definitely worked for a while.

It was quite an enjoyable day attending the funfair and helping out at the Haunted House definitely brought back fond memories of those days when we did our own.
