We have celebrated her birthday in a closed door
manner with just family and close friends invited to the party for the past 5
years of her birthday party excluding her BIG ONE which we kind of made it a
bigger scale.
This year, turning Seven is a big digit and we
decided to have a quiet birthday celebration with the family only. She was not
told about her birthday celebration as we had made it clear to her there will
not be any more big parties for her after her Sixth birthday.
We booked a table at Oscar’s which is one of our favourite
restaurants for her birthday. We arrived at the restaurant and she did not
suspect anything for there weren’t any decoration or the staff greeting her (we
informed the staff that it was a surprise party) and as usual, she took her place
and then started checking out the buffet spread.
Half way through dinner, we instructed the staff to
bring out the complimentary cake they had prepared for us and her eyes lit up
as the cake placed before her. She gave a big smile and asked “Mummy, did you
order this cake for me?” and I nodded with confirmation.
We gathered everyone to sing her a birthday song
led by the friendly restaurant staff and she was at all smiles. Though there were
no decorations and gifts from family members as we told them that it was a normal
family dinner gathering but Lady Faith was happy and enjoyed this arrangement.
We want to thank all the staff attended to us at
Oscars today for their fantastic service as always.
